I really wanted to like 806 Pizza House. I also want them to stay in business, so I hope my comments will motivate them to address the issues noted. One thing l liked about 806 Pizza was that the guys who were standing around talking in the kitchen when I came in were nice & friendly folks. They were quick to make me feel welcomed. They were also efficient in getting my order cooking. The calzone I ordered had good flavor and was *huge*. Bonus points for the amount of mozerella cheese they packed into that behemoth. So much it came drooling out in lovely delicious globs while I ate. Price was in line with quality and quantity, so decent value eating. So the people & food are the good points about 806 Pizza that earned them two stars. But I experienced sanitation issues. - The building looked a little tired overall, including the interior, but that I can forgive them since there's only so much you can do cost effectively when you don't own it. But the lack of remodel does speak to the level of commitment to the business. - The table where I sat had crumbs from previous diners on it. So it obviously hadn't been cleaned off. I'm afraid that serves as an indication of overall focus on cleanliness. Instead of chatting in the kitchen, perhaps one of the guys could keep an eye on the dining area. - There were flies. Perhaps four to six of them. But they were persistent enough to be a constant annoyance while I was eating, having to bat them away from my food and my face. - Bathroom door was beat up (outer lamination had broken off chips along the bottom) and had gaps between the door & the frame (door didn't hang straight). - A bunch of 2 liter beverage bottles, likely for delivery orders, stored on the floor (code violation) immediately outside restroom door (major code violation). Come guys, you know better than to do something so flagrantly unsanitary. Please get some shelving, locate it away from the restrooms, and load it with the bottles. Simple & easy. Do it for the sake of your customers' health & your business. I want you to succeed in your efforts. Ignoring the codes isn't helping.

Pizza was mediocre at best. Staff was very inattentive to the lobby. Has to wait several minutes to ask questions about my order.

Food was good, but they need more help. The gentleman running the place was also busing tables, refilling the buffet etc.

Best pizza in Plainview, Texas and it's not even close. Staff was great and efficient. New facilities and non-pizza options.

I am Italian and that is not a margarita pizza they serve. It's a Greek pizza minus the vinegar just strange. Way to much olive oil.

It may not be quite farm to table, but the food is fresh, made to order, and hands down the best quality within 20 miles. I've tried six different dishes here and every single one has been a success. My only complaint is that their daily specials are so good you wish they would put them on the regular menu. The first time I came, I had a chicken cordon bleu that I've been craving ever since, but it was a one-time special. For those who say it too expensive, remember this isn't processed fast food. If you want cheap, processed fast food, Plainview has plenty of options. But if you want something crafted with intention and worth savoring, this is the place. The time, energy, and effort they put into making these meals from scratch is exactly why they are worth the price. Maybe it's not something you'd eat every day if you are on a tight budget, but it is definitely a treat when you do. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is cute and cozy with both indoor and outdoor seating. It gives you the option of a romantic date night vibe or a warm and welcoming family dinner. Cheaper usually means less healthy and less fresh. The food here is made with care and it shows. I 10 out of 10 highly recommend giving it a try.

The absolute closest you're going to get to a flavored and textured East Coast calzone is here at Mia's! They're ham and ricotta calzone is just like something you would order at a mom-and-pop shop in Pennsylvania or New York, and it's incredible! Both the calzone and a stromboli are generously filled cooked with a wonderful crunchy and well flavored yeast-based dough and crust with a light coating of a delicate butter garlic. These both came out piping hot! The cheese sticks were well sized and generously portion, but the bruschetta is by and large an absolute star of their appetizer menu. Generous amounts of tomato basil and onion with a olive oil and balsamic dressing. You could absolutely make that a meal on its own! I have not had a cannoli just yet, because I am quite in love with their chocolate mousse cake! A fair slice, very rich yet very light. On my next visit I plan on getting pasta and the cannoli!! All the staff were incredibly prompt, incredibly kind and stayed on top of any refills or extra needs. The food came out with great rapidity and we're all hot and accurate. Seating in here is very comfortable and open air. It is such a bright spot for Italian food in the middle of West texas, you absolutely should make the drive to Mia's!

You should be, too, considering all of these restaurant owners in Plainview do not have a city liability system to follow. Most do a pretty damn good job considering! Well, my first impression was not great. The front glass door was just gross. I shrugged it off, maybe they've been busy. We sat down and the ladies who waited on us were nice enough. They are the only reason I am giving them the one star as they were sweet and helpful. But, I immediately noticed that the decorative glass around the restaurant was covered in fingerprints, food, probably boogers. Yes! Probably, this place has not been cleaned in so long y'all!! It's very dimly lit. But, if you take a moment to *really* look around, there's cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, food splatters on everything. It's hidden pretty well with the brownish/orangy faux marble wallpaper. The floor hadn't been swept/mopped in ages. I was immediately ICKED OUT!! Guys, if this is what the customers see, what in the world does that kitchen look like?!? We went and got some food from the buffet. My daughter thought the food was the best thing ever, so I'll give them that. She ate everything deep-fried bc she's 10 lol. I avoided meat and seafood at all costs. Food in a buffet is supposed to be out no longer than 4 hours, but that's *if and only if* it's being kept at a certain temperature. With the way the restaurant looked, I absolutely did not trust that they were following safe food-handling procedures. My stomach turned the whole time. I really could not enjoy the food. This is by-far the filthiest restaurant I've ever been to. I'm sure there's worse, but this was my worst. Every time there was a spare moment, the girls were on their phones. That's pretty typical these days and doesn't bother me, they weren't busy. But given the nasty appearance of the place, there was PLENTY to do.
