My daughter really wanted to try this place out. After working in a Plainview restaurant for 2 years, not once were we visited by a city health inspector, so I can be picky. You should be, too, considering all of these restaurant owners in Plainview do not have a city liability system to follow. Most do a pretty damn good job considering! Well, my first impression was not great. The front glass door was just gross. I shrugged it off, maybe they've been busy. We sat down and the ladies who waited on us were nice enough. They are the only reason I am giving them the one star as they were sweet and helpful. But, I immediately noticed that the decorative glass around the restaurant was covered in fingerprints, food, probably boogers. Yes! Probably, this place has not been cleaned in so long y'all!! It's very dimly lit. But, if you take a moment to *really* look around, there's cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, food splatters on everything. It's hidden pretty well with the brownish/orangy faux marble wallpaper. The floor hadn't been swept/mopped in ages. I was immediately ICKED OUT!! Guys, if this is what the customers see, what in the world does that kitchen look like?!? We went and got some food from the buffet. My daughter thought the food was the best thing ever, so I'll give them that. She ate everything deep-fried bc she's 10 lol. I avoided meat and seafood at all costs. Food in a buffet is supposed to be out no longer than 4 hours, but that's *if and only if* it's being kept at a certain temperature. With the way the restaurant looked, I absolutely did not trust that they were following safe food-handling procedures. My stomach turned the whole time. I really could not enjoy the food. This is by-far the filthiest restaurant I've ever been to. I'm sure there's worse, but this was my worst. Every time there was a spare moment, the girls were on their phones. That's pretty typical these days and doesn't bother me, they weren't busy. But given the nasty appearance of the place, there was PLENTY to do. read more

I've been coming here for years, however nothing has once changed. A lot of the decor and seating needs to be replaced or updated. The bathrooms are atrocious, and desperately need to be renovated. The food is usually really good when you dine in for the buffet at busy hours such as lunch or dinner. There are not a lot of options for dessert-fruit, ice cream, or cookies that came from a package. The host is usually playing games or watching a show on his phone, but he's quick to greet you. The servers are usually subpar and you're left waiting for refills on drinks more often than not. read more

I was eating at this restaurant between 5 and 6 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023. A waitstaff member swept my section while I was eating. The person actually hit my chair with the broom. Did not apologize. Then another wait staff member started Mopping in my section and right next to my table. This restaurant does not close till after 8 pm. A nice and proper restaurant does not sweep and mop around a customer who is eating, unless something was spilled, nothing was. This is impolite, improper, rude, crude, unprofessional, unsanitary, and dangerous. No safety signs about a wet floor. Liability safety issue. Lawsuit waiting to happen with a slip and fall. Wise up and use some common sense and manners around the customers. read more

They use fried chicken for their rice and other dishes, it makes it so incredibly soggy, & makes it fall apart, and none of the other food is seasoned at all, so unless you travel with a bottle of soy sauce, it's a very bland experience overall. Genuinely one of the WORST places I've ever eaten, take out or dine in, as I wanted so badly to give them a second chance. When I called after getting my takeout order I called to complain about the product and put in a note to the manager, he wasn't in so the man at the host stand told me I was told I was wrong and it was my fault for waiting too long to pick it up. Dragon Bacteria Buffet... Recieved 23 CRITICAL VIOLATIONS in their health inspection conducted the week of 7/17/17. The condition of the kitchen was so bad that the health department closed them down. Again. Eating at this establishment is a death wish. read more

Stopped in to this place on my way home to Lubbock from Amarillo. First of all, iPhone maps takes you west of the interstate. It's actually located about 1 mile east on Olton Rd (Thank you Google maps). It's located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside. I came in around 11:30 on Sunday and was promptly seated. There are 5 islands of food and each food item was labeled, which I really appreciated. I tried a little of most items. My favorites were the pepper chicken, the bourbon chicken and, surprisingly, a dish I've never seen before, the broccoli chicken. I did not like the crab salad or the rice crispy treats. The RC treats were hard and stale. Foods seemed to be the appropriate temperatures and the restaurant looked clean. I visited the bathrooms and they were stocked with soap and paper towels as well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and my totals was $8.65. (I ordered a buffet and water.) I would return her for sure. It's nice to find a clean Chinese food buffet that doesn't rob you for having a little Chinese food craving. read more

You know my deal with buffets, its that hot holding food MINIMUM temperature is 135 degrees. That means it should be too hot just to immediately put in your mouth without cooling it first. I write that on every single buffet review I write. That being said, this place does a better job than most at keeping their food hot. Standard Chinese buffet. We like the stir fried shell on shrimp, zucchini and shrimp, mussels, and ice cream.

Semi-polite, not very professional. Dont order their chow mein because it's not the noodle kind. Its just vegetables. Other than that, they are okay for takeout. Better if you go in for the buffet. Dining area large and gives nice privacy. Good buffet food. Young employees so expect that inexperienced work ethic. read more
