WeChat Cafe has been promoting the special n it's very attractive ... the Char Siu roasted BBQ pork was delicious n tasty, half fat half lean!!! Mixed with sunny side up eggs n Choy sum vegetables... with rice!! Look good n delicious!!! I order the filet mignon cubes with black pepper sauce and white rice. My boyfriend got the Grilled chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti. I got my filet medium rare and that was one of the best TENDER filets i've ever had. I did prefer the spaghetti and my side instead of the rice but overall so good. Our server was very attentive with refills.

We got 2 dishes for $39. The taste is just alright & the portion is not super crazy. That's pricey. Indonesian fried rice gives a lot. Comes with chicken and shrimp and fried egg on top. Taste alright. Beef with mixed mushroom is the disappointment. There is barely any beef. Taste just ok. Place looks kinda small from outside but inside is actually pretty big.

Came here back in November 2021 for a late lunch. Parking lot wasn't too full. Service was pretty fast. Ordered the Baked Chicken Steak With Curry Rice, Daikon Beef Stew, Wonton Noodle Soup, French Toast With Peanut Butter, and Hong Kong Milk Tea. Everything tasted amazing!

I came here since it is open pretty late on a weekday. They sat us in the back and was pretty standard. A fly kept flying around which was a bit annoying but nothing too out of the norm. So food is on the pricier side for HK style type food IMO, a porridge went for $12 while a wonton soup went for like $14. I will say though the food tasted very good, solid 5 at least for what I ordered. Service was totally lacking at night especially since the servers started to eat around 9 pm so it took us awhile to get extra bowls. Overall come for the food, not the experience. I think I will stick to ordering via delivery from here.

Beef with Scrambled Egg Chow Fun

Place was quite run down and lots of mosquitoes when we got seated. There was only one lady who was the server + cashier at the time of our visit. Rice Beef Chow Fun was tasty however the Fish Ball Soup w/ Flat Noodle we ordered was tasteless. Cannot expect much from service, the lady hardly speak English, so my husband needs to order food in Mandarin (she speaks Mandarin & Canto, FYI). Price for the beverage, no other places can beat so far, $2.5 for Hong Kong milk tea - price includes refills.

    Kary T.

Average and decent HK style cafe. I ordered the club sandwich, which had spam and ham, and heavy on the mayonnaise. The peanut butter French toast was fine. I ate half of everything and took the rest home. Foot traffic was slow and they were polite to let me linger for an hour plus, giving me free refills of their lemon iced tea which was generous. I would come back to try their Portuguese chicken rice as I don't see a lot of other HK cafe menus, and if I was in the area.

Baked Pork Chop with Rice - $8.99

Super good food at a cheap price. There's a special between 3-5pm, that has its own menu. Lot of good options and drinks come at an additional cost. Service fast and ambiance quiet. Parking - a lot in parking lot

A friend and I met here for happy hour prior to a performance at Pasadena Playhouse. It couldn't be more perfect since it is 1 to 2 blocks away and you only have to park once. You also do not have to rush. They have happy hour until 6 PM and another one at 8 PM. The options for drinks and food, as well as the prices are very appealing, but the quality and taste really make it. The food is more of a Thai fusion with strong Thai flavors. The bar bites are meant to be small, but we ordered about four items that completely filled us up as dinner. Standouts for me, worthy tiger, prawn, ceviche, and the crispy Seabass with mangoes, mango sauce, and papaya salad. All the food has a kick, but it is not overly spicy. When I walked into the bar, I saw some house made bitters and fresh ingredients everywhere so I knew the drinks would be awesome. The Peacock margarita has passionfruit and a touch of Mezcal in it. The lychee margarita is not too sweet and so well balanced. Our mixologist, Sebastian was delightful and provided incredible service. I could go back for all these reasons and definitely will do so

We arrived during an odd time of day and so there was plenty of parking for us. The interior is cozy with lots of booths and the space offers a selection of board games to play while you waited. We discovered a new board game while we were waiting too which was a plus. Our food did not take long to come out either. Tip: please respect the board games. Many of the games had ripped instructions or the box was falling apart which is just so sad. Thankfully it looked like most still had all pieces to be playable.

Ambiance alone inside is reminiscent of hanging out at boba shops growing up in the SGV: bright interior, booths and board games, Pokemon and Shrek playing on the TV such a nice vibe to chill with some friends and chat. Most shops nowadays are grab and go so this felt very nostalgic for me. Now for the real hitters: I still am unable to understand how they can serve this food at this price. Beef Wang (16.48) is one of their signature dishes. It sounds really simple on paper, stir fried meat, mushroom, and egg. That's it. I am still wondering how they were able to get such a flavorful bowl from a simple dish and on a perfectly cooked bed of way too much rice so you can enjoy leftovers at home. Super Sea Nachos (35): Our party of 5 ordered our own bowls and shared this thinning it was going to be a simple appetizer. The avocado alone we joked shoulda been 35 . An assembly of tuna, shrimp, imitation crab, with wonton nachos was the perfect fresh accompaniment with the rice bowl. They do not skimp at all on the nachos or seafood and no doubt I'd share another tray with friends another day. They are not the most extravagant dishes, but honestly the quality, comfort, ambience, and value makes this one of my favorite sit down experiences recently.

Broths are plentiful as well, spice levels are plenty. My favorite turns out to be the Collagen and the Tomato broth. I believe the flavoring of both broths fits very well with the ingredients I get. However, it's not anything too special compared to other same style hotpot restaurants. Only Pro I've give in comparison is that their selection is great and plentiful along with their complimentary ice cream cone that you can request to conclude your meal. Aside from that, my partner and I enjoyed a nice hangout with friends despite the long wait times.

I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

The bottom layer of rice was perfectly crispy and that soy sauce they use is crack. It soaked into the rice just right and gave it so much flavor. Definitely the must order item in my opinion. Service was excellent. It's a true mom and pop shop, which made the whole experience feel personal. The owner took her time explaining the menu and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Her husband is the chef and even came out to ask how everything tasted. I told him it reminded me of eating in Hong Kong and he just smiled. They both seemed genuinely appreciative, which made the meal even more special. I love supporting small family owned spots, especially when the food is this good. Parking can be a bit challenging since the lot is shared with a supermarket and other restaurants. The ambiance is a little outdated but totally acceptable, and the noise level was moderate so we could talk comfortably. Definitely coming back to try more items on the menu.
