WeChat Cafe has been promoting the special n it's very attractive ... the Char Siu roasted BBQ pork was delicious n tasty, half fat half lean!!! Mixed with sunny side up eggs n Choy sum vegetables... with rice!! Look good n delicious!!! However, the services level was still not up there n waiting time was too long due to their inventory control are fairly not consistently... hope they can improve... I was waiting 25mins for my foods...

I order the filet mignon cubes with black pepper sauce and white rice. My boyfriend got the Grilled chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti. I got my filet medium rare and that was one of the best TENDER filets i've ever had. I did prefer the spaghetti and my side instead of the rice but overall so good. Our server was very attentive with refills.

We got 2 dishes for $39. The taste is just alright & the portion is not super crazy. That's pricey. Indonesian fried rice gives a lot. Comes with chicken and shrimp and fried egg on top. Taste alright. Beef with mixed mushroom is the disappointment. There is barely any beef. Taste just ok. Place looks kinda small from outside but inside is actually pretty big.

Came here back in November 2021 for a late lunch. Parking lot wasn't too full. Service was pretty fast. Ordered the Baked Chicken Steak With Curry Rice, Daikon Beef Stew, Wonton Noodle Soup, French Toast With Peanut Butter, and Hong Kong Milk Tea. Everything tasted amazing!

I came here since it is open pretty late on a weekday. They sat us in the back and was pretty standard. A fly kept flying around which was a bit annoying but nothing too out of the norm. So food is on the pricier side for HK style type food IMO, a porridge went for $12 while a wonton soup went for like $14. I will say though the food tasted very good, solid 5 at least for what I ordered. Service was totally lacking at night especially since the servers started to eat around 9 pm so it took us awhile to get extra bowls. Overall come for the food, not the experience. I think I will stick to ordering via delivery from here.

Beef with Scrambled Egg Chow Fun

Place was quite run down and lots of mosquitoes when we got seated. There was only one lady who was the server + cashier at the time of our visit. Rice Beef Chow Fun was tasty however the Fish Ball Soup w/ Flat Noodle we ordered was tasteless. Cannot expect much from service, the lady hardly speak English, so my husband needs to order food in Mandarin (she speaks Mandarin & Canto, FYI). Price for the beverage, no other places can beat so far, $2.5 for Hong Kong milk tea - price includes refills.

Club Sandwich, French Toast with Peanut Butter, Lemon Tea / Jan 2025

Average and decent HK style cafe. I ordered the club sandwich, which had spam and ham, and heavy on the mayonnaise. The peanut butter French toast was fine. I ate half of everything and took the rest home. Foot traffic was slow and they were polite to let me linger for an hour plus, giving me free refills of their lemon iced tea which was generous. I would come back to try their Portuguese chicken rice as I don't see a lot of other HK cafe menus, and if I was in the area.

Baked Pork Chop with Rice - $8.99

Super good food at a cheap price. There's a special between 3-5pm, that has its own menu. Lot of good options and drinks come at an additional cost. Service fast and ambiance quiet. Parking - a lot in parking lot

Hidden Gem Hong Kong Style Cafe! Discovered WeChat Cafe during COVID and loved their baked pork chop. I finally remembered to come back to try this place in person last week and came again this week! While this place offers a very similar menu as all the HK cafes in the area, the food is much more flavorful than other cafes I've been to. Everything is seasoned well, the beef stew curry was tender, the pork chop was very flavored with the lemongrass and well seared, etc. The prices are reasonable, not exactly cheap, but they give huge portions. I grew up eating at HK cafes in the SGV my entire life and this is one of the first times I've felt impressed. I haven't been to Hong Kong yet but I brought my dad here and he was also impressed and said that it tastes much more authentic than other places. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come out which seems a little slow but practice having patience! Like most other Asian restaurants, the employees here are not going to check in on you. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the service in Asian restaurants and I hate to see people docking off stars because of it. "Good" service is not a priority to people in different cultures, this doesn't mean they're rude. Our servers on both occasions answered our questions kindly, made recommendations, and were happy to help. The restaurant was pretty empty both visits so I hope they're doing well and that others can give them a chance!

Unfortunately they have discontinued their weekday combo menu making it less worth the drive for us…read moreso we're not sure when we'll next be back. The good news is, their chicken steak is still just as yummy! We ordered: - Grilled chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti (4/5): Super crispy skin and juicy chicken. The black pepper sauce adds a fragrant touch - much better pairing than the mushroom sauce we got on a previous visit. The spaghetti portion is smaller than at most other HK cafes and isn't as good though. - Baked sole filet with rice and white sauce (3/5): Had high expectations for this dish but it didn't quite meet them. The rice used was plain white rice which isn't what I'm used to at other HK cafes and it left me a bit disappointed since it meant the dish was much more monotone in flavor and there were bites that were unflavorful. The fish itself was generously portioned and easy to eat with the warming cheese and white sauce combo. Wouldn't get again only because I know other spots that do it much better but decent overall. - Beef stew with noodle (3/5): Had expected this to be dry style with the beef stew over softened egg noodles but it came out as a soup. Beef pieces were tender and generous. Egg noodles were a bit overcooked. - Sticky Rice Dim Sum: They were massive and decent in flavor. They were a little mushy I think because it had been steaming a while (which was probably why they were quick to be served) but we didn't mind - Siumai: Generous amount of fish egg on top and was pleasantly meaty. We found parking in the front but also know there's a lot in the back. The restaurant itself is big and pretty empty and quiet. We were glad that service was friendly and quick this visit since the first time we were there one of the servers gave us attitude.

I haven't seen prices like that in ages! It reminded me of visiting Cafe Spot back in the day in Alhambra on Valley Blvd. We weren't too hungry, so we shared an order of fried chicken wings and a minced beef with egg over rice. Both dishes were tasty, and we even had leftovers from each. My osmanthus milk tea had a very light floral flavor, but for the price, I really can't complain. You can customize your drink, which I did with easy ice and half sugar. Since we came during off-hours, we were the only customers the entire time and basically had the place to ourselves. I'd definitely come back again!

I've also tried their Japanese hojicha latte and osthmanthus before and that was really good too. Honestly, I haven't had a miss here yet. The inside is nice and spacious with lots of seating, making it a perfect place to get work done or catch up with friends. I don't not enjoying writing…read morethis review as I enjoy the coffee and the friendly service, but this place cuts corners on labor and it needs to be called out. I used to come here pretty often but not so much anymore. One reason, consistently long wait times, even if you order ahead online. I have only seen two people working and it's obvious that that at least three are needed. If anybody ahead of you orders multiple drinks or even worse, if they order food, you are not going anywhere soon. Example: I ordered two lattes and there was only one person ahead of me who wore 1 drink and one person already sitting in the cafe whom ordered food. I was there waiting for my 2 drinks for almost 20 minutes. The staff that I interacted with are friendly. Staff are overworked as they are under staffed, and ultimately, customers like myself suffer because Fika can't bother to pay for enough labor. To make matters even worse, their seating is uncomfortable. Only concrete and wood seats with odd shaping. If you're going to make customers wait so long, at least provide comfortable seating. I'm writing this review in hopes that this place will turn it around. It has so much potential but it is too expensive for service so slow, and cheap seating.

We tried the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea and the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash which seems to be one of their more popular drinks. The white peach is what you expect, refreshing and easy to sip. Very happy with the drink overall. As for the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash, aesthetically, the drink is great for photos. It looks more like a swirl drink than anything. I love the overall texture of the drink. It was also as refreshing as the white peach. The cheese mix with the matcha created a swirling feeling, each sip is filled with both flavoring, highly recommend. It's crisp black tea, salty & sweet brulee foam, and non-dairy milk with bouncy, perky boba pearls. I sipped happily. I arrived at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) on Sunday (around 11:12AM). Parking is simple since there's a nearby neighborhood with street parking. I quickly found a spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. I chose the self-service kiosk, and I regret it because I dislike how the self-service kiosk requires the customer's phone number to proceed. Staff communicates well. After ordering, Staff honestly & politely informed me that they'd need 20 additional minutes for their Boba since they recently opened. I was perfectly fine with that since they spoke upfront and honestly. After the 20 minutes passed, the drink took four minutes and 14 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's delicious. This chill drink carries a crisp tea flavor. The foam is also zesty with a soft sweetness. It reminds me of a creamy milk tea. In addition, they made wonderful boba pearls. These boba pearls are sweet, bouncy, and playful. YUM! On ambiance, Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) is a wonderful spot to study/work. There's a long wooden table with 9 electrical plug spots, and there's four available electrical outlets. The location also includes customer internet with password; the details are confidently shown on the counter. The location also has a gender neutral restroom in the back, and there's plentiful hand sanitizer bottles in reach. The location felt clean and comfortable. Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) uses its space well. There's four tables and one long wooden table. There's also two small outside tables. During my stay, it felt very comfy as I listened to its smooth music. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). They serve wonderful drinks and boba. If searching for a place to study/work, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5
