We went on a Monday afternoon just after 2pm. We picked from the lunch special which was…read moresurprisingly affordable and generous. The brisket lunch special was only $16, was super juicy, cooked perfect! The chicken leg lunch special was only $14, was also great, the skin was crisp and meat just fell off the bones. Fries were very lightly coated and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. We also got a half pound order of pulled pork, very juicy and delicious, plus they serve the meals with 6 different kinds of sauces. Now... the various pickles! They all seemed homemade. Pink onions, cucumber pickles, peppers, and achyote (?), very crispy and refreshing to balance out the meats. Coleslaw was also very delicious. The cornbread. Very rustic. Initially I thought it was a bit dry but by second bite, you begin to appreciate the coarse cornmeal, the crunch, the balance of moisture and the crumble. I saved one to bring home so I can cut it and pan roast it in butter tomorrow morning. I have a feeling I will crave this cornbread in the coming weeks. The lunch also comes with a kielbasa, snappy skin, juicy and delicious. Such an unexpected find, glad we stopped in today. Very friendly service, they explained our questions well. Great ambiance and fast attentive service. We will definitely be back to try more items.

Another amazing meal delivered to me. I called on Sunday early evening as I knew it would get crazy…read morewith deliveries and boy was I right. When the owner picked up the phone she told me deliveries were busy and I told her I figured. Another thing I realized is that if you call the restaurant directly The prices are much cheaper than those delivery apps by a lot. So if you want a delivery and you live close by enough that get regular delivery guys will deliver do it, otherwise I understand you ordering online. The ribs as always were falling off the bone and like an idiot I forgot to ask for Bbq sauce but honestly you didn't even need some that's how good the ribs were. They were charred from the grill as it was just amazing. The coleslaw and baked beans were amazing as always Then she told me that she now has chicken pot pie and would I be interested. To be honest I wasn't sure at first, but she told me I could cook it myself it I wanted she would send me directions. Let me tell you something one of the. Eat have ever tasted. I completely forgot to take a picture cause it was so good. If you order or go in there please tell her I recommend the place and to try everything including her desserts the pies which are to die or kill for

The garlic rice is absolutely worth the extra $3, no question. And all of the pickled veggies across dishes were standouts (bright, flavorful, and balanced everything really well). The chicken bao was probably my favorite bite. It was packed with meat and layered with pickled veggies, would probably order a full plate of those (wish I had taken a better picture). The lechon isn't the traditional rolled style--it's more like softer chicharrones with two large sheets of crispy skin. Not traditional, but honestly delicious and very satisfying texture-wise. Not pictured but took the ube flan and regular flan home and it was delicious. Not sure what they add to the caramel but it felt slightly richer than usual. Super good.

Came here for brunch with a friend. The space was lovely and bustling, with a welcoming ambiance…read more When I first arrived, the quoted wait time was 30 minutes, but it turned out to be closer to 45 minutes. While waiting, I sipped on a Cinnamon Maple Latte, which was bold and strong, as well as heavy on the cinnamon, but could have used more maple and sweetness. My friend and I shared the Bread and Cornbread Basket, served warm with raspberry preserve jam and butter. The Bread was perfectly baked, fluffy, and well seasoned. Cornbread was glazed, giving it a slightly sweet taste, as well as crumbly in a good way. The butter made the breads richer, while the raspberry jam added a nice layer of flavor. For my meal, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, adding Truffle Fries, which were an additional $5. This also came with a small side salad topped with radishes. The Steak was tender, wonderfully juicy, and flavorful. Eggs were cooked over hard, just how I like them and made expertly. Truffle fries had a generous sprinkling of Parmesan and were delightfully crispy, with strong truffle yumminess. Salad gave a fresh element to the dish. Service was lovely. Our waitress was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were decent. I would consider returning for dinner to try the Short Rib or Brisket Mac & Cheese.
