I've ordered from Oiso a few times though it's been quite some time since I last ordered from them. Good to know the quality is still 5/5! Nice sizeable portion of smoked beef brisket , not too fatty. A little pricier but the best American bbq I've had in Fort Lee!

Coming from Massachusetts, great BBQ places are rare and hard to come by so you better believe I was excited to try this place and it definitely did not disappoint! Something I found that was unique is that they do a seafood boil as well! Here are the items we ordered as of 2/2025: - French Onion Soup - $6 - Nothing special but it does have a great flavor considering its price! Lots of cheese which is always a plus to see! - Oiso Platter - $115 - Holy cow this is a lot of food. This gives you a little bit of everything so everyone is bound to find something they love here! The standouts for me are as follows: Texas beef rib, Brisket, Kielbasa, Baby back ribs, Chicken leg, Pulled pork and Spicy bacon. The beef rib was unbelievably tender that had a nice smoke to it (but wasn't overpowering which I enjoyed). The brisket and kielbasa also had great texture and flavors to it. The spicy bacon is definitely the odd one out here as it's coated in a gochujang sauce which while tasty on its own, definitely clashes with the rest of the BBQ. The pulled pork was also good though I admit I'm not a huge pulled pork person. The pickled veggies, coleslaw, baked beans and corn bread was also delicious and not to be underestimated! - Seafood Boil Platter - $60 - The missus enjoyed her meal here (I was busy with the platter above to really try everything) and said that she appreciated that you can request the sauces individually (Lemon garlic or southern cajun) and have it be on the side for dipping. She enjoyed the snow crab and clams the most. Overall I left quite satisfied and would highly recommend this place for some great Texas BBQ!

These are the leftovers from my lunch specials put into one box. It was so good that I forgot to take a before pic.

I ordered two lunch specials in order to meet the delivery minimum and loved both enough to eat both meals over 3 days and yes, the portions are generous. I got the pulled pork and it came with cole slaw, fries, pickled vegetables and extra sauce on the side. The cornbread is more like a corn muffin which I loved bc of extra crispiness on the edges. The brisket sandwich was delicious and it came also with fries and pickled vegetables. It was a great value for a decadent (for me) meal(s)!

Right up there with some of the best BBQ and, more impressively, seafood boil we have everrrrrrrrr had. PERIOD. We strolled in on a quiet, sunny summer Monday afternoon at around 11:45 AM and, as we pretty much expected for a Monday, there wasn't a soul inside. We were promptly seated by the 1 employee who was manning the restaurant. As we reviewed the detailed menu, we gave our order some careful thought because everything sounded so good. However, not only did we want to just order everything, but they also had very, very reasonably priced (and soon we found ridiculously reasonably sized) lunch specials, which are served from 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday. After some very important deep thought into what we were going to order, my wife and I decided to go for a "best of both worlds" approach and ordered the Oiso BBQ Sampler + Seafood Boil Combo, which was not cheap, but sooooooooooo worth it. Even though it was $100, it was worth every single penny and dime that we spent on it. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant in ordering the seafood boil because we WERE at a BBQ restaurant after all, so ordering a seafood boil didn't really register with me, but thankfully my wife was craving it because my hesitancy was immediately vanquished by the amazingly delicious food. First, what's in the Oiso BBQ Sampler + Seafood Boil Combo??? Well, to put it lightly, A LOT OF DAMN FOOD! In fact, the waiter warned us that it served 3 people so he wanted to make sure we were ready for the amount of food that was about to grace our table. Specifically, it came with a beef rib, brisket (2 slabs) pulled pork (1/2lb), spicy bacon, baby back ribs (half rack), Kielbasa sausage and a chicken leg. And that was just the BBQ sampler part of it. The seafood boil half came with snow crab, shrimp, clam, mussel, calamari, Kielbasa sausage, pasta, corn and potato smothered in either southern cajun or lemon garlic. And, how could we not have gone with the southern cajun??? It's the only way in my books to season a boil. Did I say the food was amazing?????? If not, then let me just say that it was ALL freakin', awesomely, amazingly, ridunkously DELICIOUSSSS. The BBQ was very, very good, especially the juicy pulled pork, tasty kielbasa and fall off the bone baby back ribs. If we had to nitpick, the brisket was our least favorite because we forgot to ask for the fatty pieces, so we got more of the drier parts, but, nevertheless, still good. In fact, I dare say this was the best BBQ we had outside of Franklin BBQ in Austin, TX. Oddly, the extremely organized presentation of the food even reminded me of Franklin. So the BBQ was delicious, but the seafood boil was out of this world, next level unbelievable! Yes, the restaurant is called Oiso BBQ Pit, but absolutely stop by for the boil because it was probably the BEST boil food I have ever eaten. Everything was so tasty and flavorful with a ton of garlic mixed in. The southern cajun seasoning was just the right amount of heat and did not overwhelm us at all. You know that feeling when you're full, but want more? We were there and then some because we were so happily stuffed, but we managed to keep on eating and eating and eating because of the addictively good flavors of the food. It has been a long time since a restaurant has had me wanting to come back for seconds in a heartbeat. Let's just say, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, we'll be back .... and quite often I might add!

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had The wings with the dry rub was amazing. I ended up doing two orders, they were so good. The brisket was also very good. This place makes their own sauces. The "Spicy sesame sauce" if the best sauces I have ever had. The service here is also good. I would highly recommend this place. The ambiance feels southern.

Really disappointing experience with the Oiso platter. All the meat was so dry and the flavor doesn't stand out. The chips and guacamole were ok, but the portion of guac was so small. The corn was good. There was barely any service as well.

Stopped here on a hot Saturday afternoon as this place has been on my list for a while & decided to take the trip. When we arrived we had no reservation, we were told we could either dine at the bar or there would be a 20-30 minute wait. So we decided to wait at the bar until a table was available. They do have outside tables but being it was 95 degrees we opted to just wait for a table inside. It's a fairly averaged sized place, based on pictures I assumed it was bigger than it actually was. When we sat at the bar it took the bar tender quite some time to attend to us. We assumed he was fairly new so we didn't make an issue of it. Our drinks were nothing spectacular, so maybe we'd skip that next time. We were given a table about 15 minutes after we initially asked (which was great). After we sat we decided almost immediately on what we had. The waiter came back about 5 minutes after we sat to give us some time. We had a combo of kielbasa, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, quarter ribs & cornbread which came with coleslaw, beans. We ordered additional sides of Mac & cheese & fries. All the meat was actually really good, the kielbasa had a nice snap to it, the chicken was not dry & had a nice smokiness to it. Pulled pork was pretty good, the ribs and brisket were the real winners here. Now I have to note that the food did not come out hot & was barely warm. Even with that, the food has good flavor & was seasoned very well. Now the sides I was not a fan of. Ordered the Cajun fries & it had no seasoning at all, not even salt. The beans just weren't for me, kind of floppy and lacked flavor. The coleslaw was terrible. The cornbread was good as it wasn't too dry & had some nice flavor. The Mac & cheese wasn't anything that blew me away but it wasn't bad either, once you got to the bottom of it where all the cheese was it tasted better than the first initial bites. Had the food come out hot or at least warm, the sides had just a bit more seasoning & had the drinks prepared a bit better I would have given it 4 stars. Would I go out my way again? No, would I give them another try if I were in the area? Yes. (Side note) not sure if it's a normal thing but they had a jazz group playing music which was a little refreshing as the group played great & were talented.

Went to this spot on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed. Had to sit outside the main area with music but was just as good. The ambiance was great with live music and the aesthetic beef portraits in the main dining area. Had to order their famous beef rib burger which was a little pricey but definitely worth it! They added some type of patty which i wasnt a fan of but the rib portion made up for it! The fries and pickles were also really good side NOTE: Make sure to ask for the sauces to try all the different flavors which were a nice addition to try! Only reason for not having 4 stars was because 1) the chips and guac app came out AFTER the main meal 2) we had ordered a burger after all was ordered and asked and they forgot about it until we reminded them.

I visited OISO BBQ pit when they had one of their live jazz events and it was a full house! They have copious amounts of additional seating and their staff were very kind. We ordered a bunch of different things to try, and the ribs were my favorite! What we ordered: Beef Brisket Bowl OISO Platter-- beef rib, brisket, pulled pork, spicy bacon, baby back ribs, kielbasa sausage, and chicken leg A la carte Cajun seafood boil-- snow crab & shrimp Side of Cajun fries Side of Mac and Cheese The sides were definitely necessary for the amount of meat we were eating! Will definitely be back!

In all my years living in Bergen County, I didn't know there was a texas bbq restaurant so close by! I actually visited Houston this year so I was excited to see how this restaurant compared to those I've tried down south! There are so many options on the menu but I knew I wanted to try the Surf and Turf so that I could get a taste of everything! I came with my boyfriend and we had so much food left over - this combo is definitely enough for 2-4 people! The Surf is the Seafood Boil Tray which came with snow crab legs, clams (the biggest ones ever!!), shrimp, mussels, corn and more! I opted for the cajun sauce and it was on the saltier side for me but I loved the spices (and fyi it's not very spicy!) You definitely work for your food and get real messy, but I think it's a super fun experience! The Turf is the Texas BBQ Combo! If I had to choose between the two, I'd definitely get the meat! Their 7+ hour process of cooking the brisket was conveniently drawn on a board near me, and I must say, the long process is so worth it! The brisket was juicy and flavorful but not the only best part; the baby back rib and beef rib fell right off the bone - I would come back to just get more of these! The sides like the coleslaw, pickles and pickled onions definitely helped to cut the fat! Other than the food, the ambiance was so warm and rustic! My servers were attentive and thoroughly explained the menu to me as it was my first time visiting! Price wise, it is on the more on the expensive side BUT do note that these combos are meant to be shared and the ambiance, vibes and a large drink menu definitely makes this restaurant a spot to visit!

It's solid BBQ. We enjoyed the platters, the sides, the guac. It's everything you'd want & right here in Fort Lee, without having to go too out of town (I think it's *just* right if you happen to be local). Service was friendly, but we came at an off-time so I think it was a little inattentive. Nevertheless we had a good time without being rushed, and got to relish the meal!

One of my newest places I'll stop by every so often. Oiso was an absolute treat I've always lived by I never thought of visiting. Always thought that outdoor grill was a showpiece but this place was amazing. Had the brisket nachos, pulled pork burger combo, and mac n cheese. Nachos were dressed up perfectly. Enough toppings, plenty of brisket, and not floppy/soggy. What more can you ask for. The pulled pork burger was so juicy. This has to be one of my favorite bbq places both meats I got were perfect and would have a hard time picking which one to suggest to a friend. The mac n cheese was one of the only low lights of this place but everything else was so amazing I still give this place a 5/5. Mac n Cheese was bland, would suggest a different side. Place is nice, clean, and has a good amount of seating. Place was understaffed and lacking a bartender on the Fri night I went, hope these servers are doing better next time I go

TL:DR - Good BBQ Finally, a hood BBQ smoke joint. Meat was juicy, and sauce wasn't too shabby. Chicken wasn't dry, and the sides were decent. We tried the combo tray to try everything, but you can mix and match if you don't like something. My top 3 here were the Brisket, Beef Ribs, and Bacon. Others were good as well. Ordering them separately isn't too bad except the Beef Rib = $30 for single Rib. Although the size is large (of course, it is a cow rib), it is too much. I love the Beef Ribs at Dallas BBQ and still favor them over this one in both taste and value. Some suggestions: Leave the sauces on the table. For us, what they initially gave wasn't nearly enough. Corn bread wasn't cooked all the way through, and might I suggest giving butter with it. I will definitely go here again. Key is consistency!

She seemed to understand well how to cater to the restaurant patrons, taking into consideration that we were grieving a loss of a family member/friend. The food was excellent. The "banchan" side dishes were fresh and savory with continuous refills. They provided us with appetizer of the two types of "jeon"s - when was seafood and one was kimchi. I ordered the super sized "galbi tang" (갈비탕 - Short Rib Soup). I say "super sized" as it's quite larger in quantity than any I have ever had in any restaurant! . They had already pre-sorted the meat from the bones which usually are included in this particular dish. The amount of meat was incredibly abundant and absolutely savory and soft to chew. The meal was so big that I packed most of it to go and it sealed up almost to the top of a quart container! Other guests tried the "oohguhgi galbi tang" (Short Rib Cabbage Soup - 우거지 갈비탕) and "bibimbap" (Mixed Rice with root vegetables - 비빔밥) which looked delicious and ample in quantity as well. The restaurant is located off-shot from Lemoine Avenue In Fort Lee (soon after you cross Main Street) and turn into their driveway right before Charim Restaurant/Paris Baguette Cafe. Parking is plenty for free and the entrance has stairs and ramps for wheelchair/walkers. The bathroom is to your left as soon as you enter the restaurant. The ambiance is elegant and clean. Service is prompt and courteous (with exception to one younger waitress who was a bit curt and ignore requests but the older waitress I mentioned prior really saved the day! ). The managers were professional and helpful in directing the guests to the right places. Overall experience in food and service was 4.8/5.0. Q Grill was recently named top 10 KBBQ spots in NJ/NY. Will definitely visit and enjoy their other menu selections!

Their menu has a variety of different options and our favorites that we tried tonight was the LA galbi , beef brisket, & finger galbi (boneless galbi). I also liked the banchan & salad sides to pair w/ the meats. What wasn't so good was the service. When we arrived to the restaurant and got a table, we were only one of two tables & waited 10 min before we got ahold of someone to order. After ordering, it was pretty difficult to get one of the staff to put in another order of meats, replenish sauces, and some of our food didn't come. For example, we ordered fried calamari & we ended up asking about the status of the fried calamari 4 times lol... eventually came at the END of our meal & mind you, we had ordered another round of meats already & those had came within minutes + the calamari came AFTER we were done grilling everything. Not to mention, for 3 pieces of calamari haha. The service was iffy because we were waving for a staff member to order and just got ignored, luckily we were in no rush to be anywhere. ALSO, if you are planning to bring children, note that no matter how old or how young your kids are, they will be subject to be charged the same $ as an adult. $40/pp for dinner. So with all this being said in my review, if you're looking for solid AYCE KBBQ, look no further BUT be aware that the service is not the best. All of the meats were incredibly good! The pork combo also came with the fluffiest steamed egg and your choice of soup. They also gave banchan which was your typical kimchi, pickled radish, corn salad, as well as tteokbokki, pajeon, and raw marinated crab! Overall, we loved the food here. Service was amazing, our server was super attentive and helpful. He grilled all of the meats to perfection! Highly recommend coming here

That gave us enough time to have the place to ourselves and order literally everything they could think to serve us. This was easily one of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The meat cuts were all perfectly marinated and grilled, from the Dry-Aged Pork Belly, to the tender Pork Jowl, to the juicy Marinated Pork Ribs. The Budae Jjigae was savory comfort, and the Shin Ramen Fried Rice was not only abundant, but served in an adorable heart shape. Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. On top of that, we got more ban chan than an attention-starved halmoni hosting her first family reunion in 10 years. Everywhere I pointed my chopsticks, I touched food. It was delightful. If I can ever gather enough people, I'd gladly infest this place again.

We ordered the lamb skewers, pig skin, and stir-fried squid -- all of which were delicious. The lamb skewers were tender and had a great crisp to them, and the stir-fried squid was hands-down my favorite dish of the night. The batter was so light yet crispy. I also really enjoyed the cucumber scallion salad served as a side -- super refreshing and pair well with the meat. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The owner is friendly, and the overall vibe is very relaxed. They also serve beer and soju, which is a nice touch. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the seasoning on the skewers -- I felt it could have used a bit more flavor. Also, while the electric grilling machine is convenient, it doesn't quite deliver that smoky taste you'd get from charcoal. That said, everything we tried was delicious, and I would definitely come back. Highly recommended for a flavorful and satisfying meal!

When I walked in, the place was empty but it took a bit to get a table that they immediately starting putting things on, but the table was dirty, so I had to ask them to clean it. And then, the menu is only in Chinese and Korean, no English. And the only way you could access the menu is through the tablet secured to the table. We thought the QR code on the tablet was for the menu but it was for something else, so it was kind of hard to see what to order as a group. The menu did have similar things you would find in other skewer places, but nothing really seemed appealing. At this point, we contemplated if we should just go eat somewhere else, but since we were already there, we decided to stay. When we ordered our food, it was just okay. This place cooks with an electric grill, not charcoal, so I definitely prefer the places that have charcoal. It was busy by the time we left so it seems like it's popular and really liked it, but overall, we thought the place was just okay, with no desire of going back. I'd rather go to the other 2 places in Palisades Park instead.
