This location never disappoints in drinks or the food. While I've been here several times I decided to write about my experience purely off the presentation of the tree ninos platter and great bar service. The bbq was exceptional as always and the drinks did what they are supposed to do.

Stumbling into Harlem with friends at 7 PM, this American BBQ place really didn't live up to my expectations. Prime Brisket: A popular recommendation. The meat was grilled until very tender, but not very juicy. All the grilled meats were extremely salty, only slightly alleviated by the Original dipping sauce. The sauce was primarily tomato-based, but lighter and more tangy than regular tomato sauce, with a hint of spiciness and smokiness. Pork Belly: It was served with crunchy pickles, adding more flavor and texture, and helping to cut through the oiliness. St. Louis Rib: Extra $2 for adding to a combo set meal. The ribs were bone-in but grilled until almost falling off the bone; the layer of fat clinging to the bone was satisfying--truly the most perfect part. Pulled Pork: Personally, I think this was the best dish. The pork was grilled until tender and flavorful without being overly salty. Shredded and mixed with the Original sauce, the texture became moist, and the flavor was even fresher. Syracuse Style Salt Potatoes: Simply seasoned with salt, butter, and a touch of chopped herbs--super fragrant. Potatoes can't be bad. Side Salad: I chose a red wine vinaigrette to dress the herbs; there was probably no more whiter dish in the world. As "Uncle Roger" said, white food tastes like sad. Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Strawberry: It was quite sour for most people, but I really liked it~ The water here was a bit unpleasant to drink, with a noticeable chlorine taste, so you might want to order a beverage instead.

Came here with friends for lunch. Outstanding! We split the fried green tomatoes appetizer -- perfect. I had the Tres Ninos combo plate: brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, and I got the mac & cheese and fried rice as my sides. Tons of food, delicious, and very reasonably priced for what you get. The server was lovely and the background music was at just the right volume (meaning not too loud, I'm pretty sensitive about that). All and all, it was great, and we'll be back when we're in the neighborhood.

My first time here and it was a decent experience. Food and atmosphere was good. You can sit at the bar or dine at a table. Best to make a reservation because the place gets busy. We ordered mild wings appetizer and they were good but could been cooked a little longer. I like my wings crispy. I ordered the 3 meat combo with ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Everything was good on that plate. The brisket was a bit moist and tender. Ribs had some good flavor and the pulled pork didn't disappoint. Should've got some bread to make sandwich. My sides were Mac and cheese, fries and piece of cornbread. The Mac and cheese was good but a little too peppery. Fries were good and had just the right amount of salt on them. The cornbread was meh, I've had better. My only issues came towards the end of service. We asked our waitress Autumn P(P must stand for Please do better) for to go boxes and 5 minutes later she came back to the table with the check, no boxes. She said she forgot then comes with them but no bags for them like every other table. We pay for the meal but while paying, Autumn is just hovering over my sister as she completed the transaction and left the tip which was a good tip for the service we received. That was the last we saw of Autumn P and I had to ask someone else for a bag. That person,I think his name was Jerry got it right away for us. He was originally at our table when we were seated then Autumn showed up. Maybe we would've got better service with Jerry. Overall Dinosaur was good and worth going back to. Just hope for better service next time.

This here is a great spot by the west side highway. Ordered the honey bbq and jerk glaze chicken wings. E&J apple cider (hot drink) was a very nice touch on a cold day. Wings were saucy and tasty. Staff was quick and helpful and place can seat plenty of people. Decor was all wood and fit the food trend right on.

Really fun barbecue in New York City! We were very well taken care of our waiter. He let us have a sampler plate because it was our first time. The chicken wings on that sampler or some of the best I've had in a long time. The ribs were by far the best thing here. So much meat and so easy to rip off the bone. Cornbread was awesome. Loved the baked beans, of course. Really fun spot! Reasonable prices too.

OMG. It's so hard to find really good BBQ in NYC and here it is. I think it's my favorite so far, especially since some of the other good ones are gone. I recommend a reservation. I recommend not going when it's 100 degrees out, because it was 110 inside. But I would definitely go again and get everything. Because it was all so good! And of course, thank you D for having a gluten-free menu also. I love that. I appreciate that. And there were still so many options for me. Yay!

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que 700 W. 125th. St. New York, NY 10027 Wango Habanero Wings 1/4 Rack Ribs Cajun Fried Catfish This is with no exaggeration one of the best barbecue establishments I ever explored. Wango Habanero Wings: This is the perfect combination of sweet and spice. 1/4 Rack Ribs: The tender wings fell right off the bone. The sauce was so amazing I wish I could have drank the sauce by the bottle! Cajun Fried Catfish: Even the non-barbecue items are a hit! The catfish was covered with crispy cornmeal and my favorite topping is the black-eyed pea relish. Aside from unbelievably fast service, my server was was friendly and he even recognized me from previous visits. My only regret is that I wish I had ordered larger portions, but there will always be a next time. #dinosaurbarbecue #harlemny #rackifribs #dinosaurbarbecueharlem #wangohabanerowings #cajunfriedcatfish #nycfoodie

I ordered take out for my family and purchased the family meal. I spent close to 80.00 which includes the tip. The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere, but the food is a hard no for the future. I did not receive a cheeseburger this is more like a burnt patty. So a tired mother still has to cook! Not worth the money!

Brisket, served to me by irresponsible workers at dinosaur restaurants at 125 street-

So disappointed, angry, that these employees will dare to serve the the food in this manner I was there last Sunday, ordered a two meat plate, that costed me 28.00 (no cheap), on it brisket and ribs, the brisket was so full of fat (greasy stuff) that you could not eat it there was so much fat that these employees are either racist or just plain irresponsible, because the do look at the meat as the serve it, and customers should not be abused in this manner, I am annexing some pictures of my allegations DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!

The layout of this place is very nice as I have reviewed before it has a bar and regular seating area and high top seating so it can accommodate many different groups. The service is always pleasant. Both the servers and the hostesses were very nice. The downside this time was the food I have eaten here before and enjoyed it but this time it was lukewarm to cold at best. The chicken in a three meat platter was pretty good as was the jalapeño sausage, but the brisket, which should be the staple in almost any barbecue place was cold dry And very fatty

I come here frequently and I always enjoy it. I usually order wings as an appetizer. The last time I came the wings were ok. I like the staff, they are friendly and attentive. The food is also good, the wings are usually a great dish they are flavorful and well cooked. I have ordered sliders which are also good. I have ordered nachos and sandwiches. The nachos were good and the sandwich was also good. I have ordered drinks and the drinks are well prepared. The place is lively and a good place for large parties or to be alone.

Do they accept apple pay in person?

Yes they do. You can actually pay through your phone.

Is it possible to arrive with a party of 27 people?

I wouldn't just arrive, call and ask them. You would probably need to make reservations for that amount of people.

    Is the meat halal?

I don't think it is. They don't promote it as halal.

How big is the private room? Can you seat 30-40 ppl?

Yes and more the upstairs room is huge perfect for a party privately.

    Where can I park?

There is a garage around the corner from us and the address is on the website - It's MTP parking right off the west side highway or on marginal street.

Can you bring a location to Long Island?

We will add it to the list!

Will u be bringing more locations to ny its only 2 her I can't get enough of this place?

There are lots in NY! We have our Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Troy locations upstate and our NYC locations in Harlem and Brooklyn.

Any beef options? My boyfriend and I don't eat pork but it seems like all of the ribs except the Korean one, is pork. Really bummed and upset.

Our brisket is one of our most famous menu items! We have really great burgers as well.

Is it ok to go without a reservation for Saturday early evening (5-6pm ish)?

The above answer from anon is spot on... The only addition is your timeframe. This early in the evening I'd guess you'd have good luck getting seated pretty quickly... ENJOY!!! it's worth the wait!!! Wango Tango Wings!!!!

Ever thought about adding jalapeño poppers to the menu?

Hi Courtney! We will put it into consideration and share your feedback with our team. Thanks for the suggestion!

Some will also say it's a tourist trap but I honestly believe it depends on what your looking for in your dining experience. I also don't think it's fair to compare it to any BBQ you'd find in the State of Texas. There are key differences between Dallas BBQ v Real Authentic Texas BBQ. There's a difference in meat selection, cooking methods and sauce. It's more about the experience than "pure" BBQ. The most Texas thing about this spot is the size of their portions with food and drinks being huge. Also, if your looking for complex culinary, sophisticated, and upscale, this ain't it. If your looking for quiet, nope not here. Yet it surpasses today's run of the mill standards of good quality comfort food affordably priced. I purposely did not eat anything all day just so I could enjoy all my faves such as the sticky wings, cornbread and the turkey chilli. First off you cannot come here and not order the wings! It was my friends first time dining here and when she read the menu she thought the wings were going to be those tiny rinky dink flats and drums, but no ma'am! These are nice size WHOLE WINGS. Attempting to eat all 5 of them will have your belly popping out of your shirt and have you snoring at the table! I can eat 4 on an empty stomach but 5 is a lot especially if your eating anything else or drinking. So if you want to try other menu items get them to share or just be prepared to take some home. The Hennessey wings are good but after eating two of them the flavor is a bit overwhelming to me. You will not find a better chilli than theirs!! Their chilli is so flavorful without being spicy hot. I love that I can enjoy their chilli, it's the right texture, consistency, well seasoned and you can tell its good quality ground turkey. The drinks are lit! Generous amount of alcohol. Everything is TEXAS size even if your ordering something as basic as an apple juice! lol I guarantee you will not need to ask your waiter for a refill. Trust me! One major upgrade they need to do here is to the women's bathroom. I can't speak for the men's room except that there's never a line for it. Meanwhile the line hangs outside the women's bathroom and into the walkway of the restaurant. Its just not enough stalls to accommodate guests for a restaurant this size. The midtown location is MASSIVE seating between 500-800 people across three levels. However, there's literally only about 5 or 6 stalls in the women's bathroom. That ratio is way off. Anyhoo besides that this place rocks. Solid service and good food.

We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

I was in town for a few days and I had seen this place on tv so of course I had to come try this…read moreplace out. The place is really big with lots of seating. I saw that they have music on certain days so if you interested in some music come check it out. We ordered the two meat meal with greens, mac n cheese, and corn bread. They didn't have any pork belly burnt ends ready so that was a bummer. The food came out fairly quick which was nice. Everything looked really good. The brisket was cooked perfect and nice fatty parts to it if you like that. There was some good smoke to it and nice seasoning to it. The ribs were a little overcooked and not much meat on them. The mac n cheese was really good, nice amount of cheese, noodles cooked perfect, and nice seasoning in it. The greens were also cooked perfect, not mushy, great flavor, and also seasoned right. The cornbread was off the hook, very tasty with great flavor. I like that they mixed corn in the cornbread. We also ordered the Banana Wafer Pudding which was delicious. NIce flavor and the wafers were fresh and crunchy, I just needed more of them. We tried to wait for Pork Belly burnt ends but we had to go. The BBQ sauces were just ok, nothing to say hey you have to try it. I'd definitely be back to this place if I'm in town. Don't know why they only have 3.5 stars. The service was also good. I so wanted to give a 5 star but I just couldn't.

Really cool southern atmosphere - doesn't feel like you are in NYC…read more Service includes going to the country to place your order. We were a bigger party, and we ordered the drinks and apps at the table. The pitmaster sample platter was delicious. The meat was juicy, the perfect amount of smoky, and just an overall great variety of meat, chicken, pork, sausage, etc. The sides were a good portion as well. The nachos are a must if you are craving an appetizer! Huge portion, and the toppings are epic. As for the desserts, the banana pudding and chocolate pudding were delicious. The cookies are huge - ours were a little burnt, but still had that gooey center that was tasty. I would definitely come back to this place for when I'm in the mood for BBQ.

What a nice kbbq experience!!…read more I rlly liked the shrimp & chive pancake bc it wasn't super heavy and not full of batter like other places. Pretty light and crispy with a lot of shrimp and chives. Skirt steak was my fav, very tender and so much authentic flavor. Boneless short rib tasted like wagyu, very marbled and fatty and almost melts in your mouth. Honorable mention to the steamed egg that the meal comes with. Super fluffy and sweet!! They cook the meat for you and service is rlly good, they're super attentive when side dishes run low. Definitely will need a reservation! They offer 10% discount if you bring cash. Will be coming back again :)

We made reservations for 4 people a week before and came to the restaurant on time. Unfortunately…read morethe seating was very uncomfortable and the manager of the restaurant refused to switch the bench for 2 chairs to accommodate my disability because "it didn't fit their decor perfectly." We were deeply offended and left the restaurant to eat at the nearby restaurant. We would never return. This place should be shut down because they discriminate against the disabled and refused to switch 1 chair to accommodate my back injury. How upsetting is that? Service is horrible. Do yourself a favor, don't bother to come there! Oh and also they tell you that you can only spend 1.5 there, a limit on your stay. You get the picture. Don't waste your time and better spend your money elsewhere.

NOT IMPRESSED…read more Stopped in for a quick lunch around 1:00 PM and I was extremely disappointed with the service and food quality. When I arrived, there were only a few other customers seated in the dining room. That should have been a RED flag, but I wanted to try the burgers while visiting New York. My wife had the Classic Burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, house sauce served with fries for $19.95 and I had the Smash-ology Burger with double smash burger patties topped with American cheese, red onion, lettuce tomato, smash-ology sauce on a potato bun served with fries for $19.95. First, the burgers are very small, lack flavor and there is nothing special about them. I've had a better tasting burger from Steak & Shack for a fraction of the cost. The fries were very cold and looked like they were sitting on a holding table for an extended period. I sent the fries back only to be served with more cold fries. Service was also lacking. When I complained about the cold fries, the server didn't seem to be pleased and was very hesitant to take them back. At a cost of more than $45 for two burgers and fries, I expected more.
