My friend and I were looking for an inexpensive place for dinner on the Upper West Side and this casual eatery fit the bill. The menu was surprisingly varied, with fish, pork, lamb, and different sides like rice, potatoes, beans. I decided to get the Fried Flounder with fries and Greek salad. This also came with pita bread. The Fried Flounder was delightfully crispy, flaky and even better with the tartar sauce. The fries were crunchy and well seasoned, full of potato taste. The salad was full of tomato, red onion, feta cheese, along with spices and acidic savory sauce. It was fresh and light. Service was great. The person behind the counter was welcoming. Just remember to bring a drink since the drinks here are quite pricey. Food comes out fairly quickly, even during their busy hours. Staff is rather no-nonsense. Incredible meal! I had the most delicious lamb chops for $21. tender juicy flavorful and perfectly cooked - and better than the lamb chops I had at Smith and Wollensky a few weeks ago for like 60 or 70 bucks. Plus the most delicious Greek salad with excellent dressing, and the bread, and of course the great chicken. Can't wait to come back for lamb chops again. I came here last night for a late night dinner and surprisingly they were open till 12 even though yelp says they close at 10 ! I ended up getting the grilled chicken rice and salad. Everything was delicious but I really want to get the white meat grilled chicken next time instead of the thigh meat. I absolutely loved my ice tea and lemonade. Those drinks were very delicious.
