The meal was perfect for a quick bite before a show. It was delicious! I enjoyed it so much.
I went to Chirping Chicken and had the juiciest grilled chicken I've ever tasted. The salad was unbelievably fresh, the rice and pita were perfect, and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. Everything was flavorful and tasted so fresh. Definitely coming back.
I usually order arroz con pollo once a week. I came in this evening and after I ordered and paid, was told that it would be made with chicken cutlet instead. I trusted that it would be good and unfortunately it was night. The flavor of the whole dish was off and the chicken was dry. My recommendation is to not offer that option as there is no flavor to it. While I appreciate that you tried to accommodate what I wanted, it was not good.
My friend and I were looking for an inexpensive place for dinner on the Upper West Side and this casual eatery fit the bill. The menu was surprisingly varied, with fish, pork, lamb, and different sides like rice, potatoes, beans. I decided to get the Fried Flounder with fries and Greek salad. This also came with pita bread. The Fried Flounder was delightfully crispy, flaky and even better with the tartar sauce. The fries were crunchy and well seasoned, full of potato taste. The salad was full of tomato, red onion, feta cheese, along with spices and acidic savory sauce. It was fresh and light. Service was great. The person behind the counter was welcoming. Prices were on the low end, with most platters at around $20. Next time, I would like to try the Pork Chop or Lamb Chop with yellow rice.
One can tell a lot about a restaurant when the customer bathroom is GROSS! Why is there graffiti, stickers, whatever everywhere, and the floor is not spotless. There is no excuse for this...AND, it speaks volumes about the cleanliness of the restaurant's kitchen - is the condition similar to the customer bathroom? I had ordered only a sweet potato...and, that was delicious...and huge! BUT, will not be back too soon...unless the management or owner takes care of the gross looking bathroom.
Consistently good! I don't order from here often but when I do I always order a gyro. I love their gyros! Last time they made an error with the meat choice but quickly corrected it and gave me the correct order. I also ordered the mozzarella sticks, which had a nice cheese pull. For all the years that I have been ordering here I feel like their food is well priced. There haven't appeared to be major price jumps. I always order ahead when going here because you never know how busy they are.
Tried to order online to get the advertised 20% off, the site does not work, they gave me an attitude when I called, did not want to honer the 20% off but ultimately did after having to argue with them, the food arrived over a hour later and was ice cold, no sauce on the ribs, I had asked for sauce, no utensils, not even a napkin, food was horrible. I stopped ordering from this place years ago because the food and service was sub par, I gave them another chance and I got cold garbage for $40, This place is horrible and disgusting, Potatoe salad was under cooked and swimming in cheap mayo. It was over priced and bad cold food. Do yourself a favor and skip it its not worth it even st a discount,
When we walked by this place before, I thought it had waiter service. Actually, it is a fast, casual eatery - order at the counter and take a seat indoors or outdoors. We ordered from their specials menu. My chicken breast combo came with grilled chicken filet, over rice and beans with avocado. My son's chicken sandwich and fries had 2 filets, veggie toppings on the side. At least chicken wasn't fried. Satisfied with our meals. $12-13 each. Bought drinks separately.
Still haven't found anything else I love other than the charcoal broiled chicken once I'll try a few more times I guess

Just remember to bring a drink since the drinks here are quite pricey. Food comes out fairly quickly, even during their busy hours. Staff is rather no-nonsense. There's about 10 tables for small and medium parties, I think about 40-50 people could fit inside, and there are a half dozen small tables outside as well.
The chicken at chirping chicken is fantastic. Get the 1/2 chicken meal with Greek salad sweet potato fries and a half and half. Get the honey mustard. The service is nice - the gentleman behind the counter know what they are doing and the ambiance is very chill - perfect for a quick solo bite. read more
We love this place and go regularly....despite being busy as all hell, they can handle it. Staff is great, atmosphere is casual, but nice enough for a meeting, family or cheap date. This is real food, healthy, tasty, hearty and pretty quick despite being freshly made. Highly recommended chicken kabob platter. Greek salad with grilled chicken, and while we regularly get and love the tzatziki, which we buy as a side, even though some comes with platters, tonight I also tried the hummus and it was garlicky, chickpea-y and yummy too. read more

Always amazing food - can't go wrong with the classic steak sandwich. We are locals and come back every week or two. The food just can't be beat - very juicy and flavorful meats. Truly an iconic spot! read more

Average. Lots of food, but when paying $19, I'd expect it. Charles chicken is a lot more flavorful than here and the same if not slightly cheaper. Service was Kurt and to the point. I asked questions as a first timer and got nothing. I got 1/2 chicken with mashed sweet potato. The mashed sweet potato was bland. No special flavor. Might literally be mashed and that's it. The chicken was hardly seasoned but they're sauces save it. The bbq is liquid but very flavorful. Just different. The hot sauce is good. Honey mustard ok. The salad and dressing was tasty. Wow! Confirmation of my order at 6:00pm. Delivery at my door less than 15 minutes later!!! Granted I'm like ten blocks away but still. Everything hot. Everything correct. And the plantanos maduros extra well done are perfection!! Thank you Chirping Chicken for being a family favorite. read more

Fast service and good food. You order at the counter, pick a seat and pick up the food when they call you number. Bring cash because they have a 4% surcharge if you pay card which they don't disclose. I ordered the whole chicken with two sides special (pick between mash potato, baked potato, sweet potato and mash sweet potato). I picked the mash and basked potato. The chicken was fresh and came with 4 pieces of pita bread. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes. read more
Absolutely Love Chirping Chicken. Delicious, Consistent Food. A family staple that never disappoints. Took the opportunity to dine-in one evening as the UWS location has casual seating inside and sidewalk seating. I always appreciate the specials especially when I am dining with someone else. I order the whole chicken special which came with two sides and it was more than enough for me and a friend. The salad and rice and beans were great sides to accompany the juicy chicken and hot pita. Please be sure to ask for the honey mustard as its a good dressing as well as dipping sauce for the chicken. Service was friendly and fast; always a plus! read more

Incredible meal! I had the most delicious lamb chops for $21. tender juicy flavorful and perfectly cooked - and better than the lamb chops I had at Smith and Wollensky a few weeks ago for like 60 or 70 bucks. Plus the most delicious Greek salad with excellent dressing, and the bread, and of course the great chicken. Can't wait to come back for lamb chops again. Plus beautiful outdoor dining on a peaceful pretty block. Love this place read more

I love this place. The owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met. It's great chicken. I usually get the large shawarma plate and am always satisfied. I love the rotating fans they have hanging from the ceiling. read more
I have visited this location plenty of times and the service and staff are very friendly and helpful. The charcoal boil chicken is very delicious and juicy no where near dry. They offer a variety of meals for reasonable pricing. The food is fresh and great for lunch. They have a lot of tables for small and large groups. The pita bread combo it's my favorite. The picture below is there burrito bowl which was very delicious as well. I would recommend this place as I am a regular here and food consistently taste good. read more

I came here last night for a late night dinner and surprisingly they were open till 12 even though yelp says they close at 10 ! I ended up getting the grilled chicken rice and salad. Everything was delicious but I really want to get the white meat grilled chicken next time instead of the thigh meat. I absolutely loved my ice tea and lemonade. Those drinks were very delicious. I tried a bite of the turkey burger and it tasted amazing and the fries were very fresh and crispy. Next time I'll order the turkey burger for sure ! read more
