I came here with my family during brunch. This place is the typical brunch fair and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food wasn't bad. The farmers omelette was light and the salad was a great addition. My parents definitely enjoyed the bread basket so I would recommend that as well. Overall not a bad place for a typical American brunch.
Fast service, quiet atmosphere, and good food. Pricey, but it's always been and it's a "go to" spot for brunch in NYC. Pancakes fluffy and tasty and coffee aromatic with refills carefully tended by waitstaff. I'll be back for the much recommended tomato soup.
Very good brunch experience here. Highly recommend making reservations. The popovers were delicious and the goldie lox scramble good. My partner also enjoyed the turkey club sandwich, it was massive. Overall, prices were definitely on the pricey spot, but in-line with New York.
Sydney is amazing! We landed on the redeye from Los Angeles at 6am, arrived at the restaurant at 8:15 am, I was craving the tomato soup, and though they don't start serving it until lunch time, she worked her magic, and I had the soup and a pumpkin muffin for breakfast!
Food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The pancakes were light and fluffy, the chicken sausage was very tasty, and the beet salad was very good. Definitely recommended

Their popovers are a must have and their omelettes are super fresh. Would definitely come back again.

Food came out fast and water was refilled frequently, although we did have to wait for the check. I liked the beet salad although the creamy butter-like spread at the bottom was a little rich to not be dispersed among the beets and arugula. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience.
An old friend and I wanted to catch up over brunch somewhere on the UWS. She found this spot! I'd say 5/5 for service. Very friendly and didn't rush us out even though we had stayed there for about 2 hours (granted, it was lunch time on a Friday so it wasn't too crowded). My friend and I both order cappuccinos - they were decent! We shared savory and sweet entrees: pumpkin spice french toast (seasonal menu) and the Farmer's omelette. The entrees were both pretty good, and had quite big portions so it was great to share! The French Toast tasted nothing reminiscent of pumpkin spice though - I believe the only pumpkin spice in the dish was the added flavoring of the maple syrup but I did not taste it at all. The omelette came with a carb side, and we chose the English muffin which tasted pretty good. It was a nice brunch spot with dependably good (but not show-stopping) food!

I tried some of my sister's fried chicken sandwich and though the chicken was nice and crispy, I didn't really like the pickles and red onions that came with it. The chicken itself was good but I wasn't a fan of the sauce or pickles/red onions. The fries were tasty but a little salty. My sister's French toast was pretty good but I wish it was crispier. Pretty pricey at around $25 each dish but that's expected in NYC
I love a local spot, it is a chain in the City. I came here because they offered popovers and they're one of my favorite things to eat. I was disappointed with the staff. It was our first time here and our eyes are always bigger than our stomach so we wanted to make sure we ordered appropriately. When asking about the wild mushroom popover our waiter told us it was one popover with small mushrooms inside it. So we ordered the popover, lemon ricotta pancakes, the quiche and a side of pork and apricot sausage. IT WAS TOO MUCH FOR TWO PEOPLE Our waiter even made a little "oh okay" noise after we ordered, but we weren't sure why until all the food came. Loved the mushroom popover - it's a EGG scramble and totally misrepresented by the waiter, the popover was just okay. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good. I loved the side salads that accompanied both the popover and the quiche. Overall a solid spot for breakfast, nothing mind blowing minus the mushroom scramble - that was lovely, but it's an egg dish with a side of popover vs a filled popover.

My eggs benedict severely lacked salmon, it had very thin little shreds of salmon, but also that doesn't mean it was bad. Just inaccurately priced as $27. I think overall, it is overpriced for the quality of food you're getting. In reality, I think all of the meals were overpriced, when you look at it, it's just eggs and arugula on both plates, and no sides for the "Creme Brulee" french toast. Besides the overpriced food, the ambience was somehow worse. We were sat outside in the corner on a slanted surface. The table was unsteady and shaking our plates and glasses, our chairs were also unsteady. Mine, moreover was constantly being hit by the person behind me, I barely had room. Every time someone got up or left behind me I would have to get up from my seat and move out of the way. I think if you are going to attempt outdoor seating, at least space the seats out well and don't set up flat chairs and table on a slanted surface. However, what I will say is the service was excellent. Our server was kind and attentive, the only mishap was when one of the servers poured tap into my cup when we ordered still, but I didn't mind. Overall, overpriced food, bad seating, and nice service.
Beautiful restaurant in a great area near Central Park. Food was memorable. Even my simple beet kale goat cheese salad was to die for. Huge portions too. Staff was wonderful. I had a great experience here for lunch. read more

Always a 10/10 experience at this location. I frequent here often. The service is always great. The food is always delicious. My favorite is the buttermilk pancakes and chicken sausage. However, they have other things on their menu equally delicious. The French toast, deviled eggs, and seafood Cobb salad are excellent! read more

My friends and I stopped in for brunch on a bright Saturday morning. It wasn't too cold outside and since we didn't make reservations ahead of time, they told us that it was either about an hour wait or we could sit outside. There were heaters so we took the chance. It wasn't bad. We kept our coats on but the heaters worked great! I ordered coffee and water to start and then decided to add a mimosa a little later. Our waitress was very gracious and had expressed no complaints on my additional beverage order. I got the farmer's omelet (leeks, ham, potato, guyere). Delicious! I have never had an omelet prepared so delicately and with so much flavor. I am normally opposed to ordering an omelet when somewhere unfamiliar for fear of getting a rubbery or odd textured one but I'm glad I did. The portion was also huge! I ate half. I was too full to eat any more and was sad to leave the other half behind. My order also came with a small serving of greens tossed in vinaigrette and a wonderfully baked muffin. So while people might think $21 is steep for an omelet, it comes with 2 other sides making it actually reasonable. My one friend ordered the quiche. She thought it would be a tiny quiche but it was actually large. She also did not finish. She ordered a side of their pork and apricot sausages ($10 for three large sausages). She shared and wow, they were absolutely to die for! Our other friend ordered the steak Benedict. It looked very tantalizing. I could tell he enjoyed it a lot. I was quite pleased with our visit here that we almost went back another morning but alas, we had other agenda that didn't quite work as well to factor in another stop. The next time I am in NYC, this is definitely a repeat stop. read more
A friend recommended that I come here and I don't regret listening to them at all. The food was delicious, I definitely recommend the spinach omelette and a scone with jam. East inside or outside, but if the weather is nice I recommend outside! :) Service was excellent! Really friendly and the food came out quickly. Truly enjoyed dining here!! read more

Went here on a sunday for brunch it was cozy seating and heating calm vibes. the service was good waitress is very kind and helpful she even fixed the wobbly table without us even asking or realizing. we got a couple mocktails like lavender lemonade and mai tai lemonade it was way too sugary and sour but after the ice diluted it was refreshing lemon ricotta pancakes was a hit i enjoyed it very much. the omelette was mids i don't recommend it, definitely needed more seasoning chef forgot the salt. It is what it is. You come to Sarabeth's because it's an institution, or because it's the gathering place for Manhattanite weekend social rituals. Food is OK. Service is OK. Everything in line with expectations as long as your expectations are correct. read more
As a lifelong Upper Westsider I'm always walking around the neighborhood to see what's new and what I've missed and I've passed by this spot a few times and it wasn't until I saw some pics of their food here on yelp that I figured I'd definitely give them a try. So I passed through with a friend on a Sunday and it was packed as expected so I put my name down and waited about 10-15 minutes before I was contacted for our seats. All good. Place is very nice, felt a bit trendy.. Cool. Staff were nice... We were sat at our table and took a look at what they had to offer on their Brunch menu and they had a pretty wide selection, so we decided on the Ricota/Lemon pancakes and some eggs. There's no option to simply add 2 eggs as a side to your pancake order that I saw on the menu, so we purchased an egg plate and the pancake plate. The stack of 5 Pancakes were about $23 bucks and the egg platter was about the same.. so for pancakes and eggs you're talking about $47-$50 bucks. I know... Was it worth it? Hmmmm.. Well.. The pancakes were good.. had the ricotta inside.. was good but they didn't blow our mind and not worth $23 bucks especially with no sides.. The eggs were perfect.. Fluffy and tasty.. But for $23 bucks.. I dunno.. Not really.. I'd rather an alternative side of 2-3 eggs with the pancakes. In any case, spot was cool, busy, good food but I'm not too sure I'll go back.. They should think about adding a "Sides" section on their menu where you can order some basic sides. And that's my review.. read more

Came in for brunch last weekend while in the city. I never went when I lived there so wanted to give it a try. It is definitely pricey but worth a visit. We got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the eggs any style. It was so much food! The pancakes were tasty but needed more syrup. The eggs and bacon were tasty and came with our choice of breakfast bread - we got the pumpkin muffin. read more
