    Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad
    Kiley K.

I was lured in by the promise of a New York happy meal (chicken Caesar salad, fries and a martini) and it didn't disappoint! It was really nice to sit outside on a beautiful evening and the staff was good. One thing I will say is that if I order takeout from here the quality is substantially diminished.

Got the short rib eggs benedict which was super super delish. The meat especially was so freaking good and soft. The potatoes were really weird I can't tell if I liked them or not they were like kinda hashbrown but also diced but also just a solid mass idk. Loved the slice of orange though. Also tried their Vanilla Hot Cocoa with Vodka and man was that strong I could barely taste the hot cocoa because I was getting blasted off of half of this drink omg. If strong is your thing then get this but beware!

Food was not the best I think it lacks flavor. Services 10 out of 10 and the atmosphere was clean and nice for photos outside.

We were seated in very good time and were even early for our reservation but they helped to adjust for our early arrival. The timing of everything worked very well from taking drink order to food orders and everything arriving. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was very delicious and huge portions. We definitely recommend this restaurant for its breakfast / brunch menus which we ordered from.

Green Kitchen is such a lovely spot on 2nd Ave. They have nice floral decor outside yeah it's under the scaffolding, but it was so pretty. This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time I sat inside so this time I wanted to experience it outside. Enjoying our meal outside was definitely really cool for lunch just to enjoy the weather while you're eating was a thumbs up for me. Our server Enrique was very hospitable and semi tentative but there's always room for improvement. Their menu had variety however I only located a few items that I would eat.

Had a reservation for this location at 4pm. I arrived at 345pm and used the restroom prior to my bestie arriving. The restroom has 2 stalls that are private which is great since it's a unisex restroom. I sat at my table which was a booth and the waiter asked if i wanted anything to start. I got mozz sticks and a coke. My bestie came and the mozz sticke and coke arrived. We decided to order pasta & the chicken Caesar salad and split it. The waiter brought us extra plates and refilled my soda. Food was very hot and fresh. Waiter was nice and attentive without being overbearing. We packed some food to go and i had a cheesecake for dessert while my bestie had a coffee. Everything came out to $103. All in all worth the price. Food and service was great. Place is decorated beautifully esp outside and restaurant is very clean. I will def be back for brunch

Service was excellent. Ambiance was great being able to eat outdoors. The food was decent. Nothing special and a little pricy.

We've been coming here since the original location on 1st ave. We decided to venture outside of getting omelettes and it hit the spot. All American Burger 5/5 Grilled chicken sandwich on a brioche 4.5/5 Buffalo chicken wrap 4.5/5 Quesadilla 4/5 Pistachio pancake was a huge hit and will come back just for this. 5/5

It was all amazing, a little crowded for brunch but worth the waiting. Service overall good, ambience it's eeeeh, once it's packed inside you can barely have a conversation so I'd recommend getting seated outside.

Both the food quality and the service were pretty disappointing. Came for brunch, our server was rushed and didn't really speak clearly, misheard a few orders and brought the wrong drinks. She was in a bad mood with a number of the tables around us and was not very service oriented. Portions are pretty large but the brunch food itself was rather bland. At least it is pet friendly if you sit outdoors. Given the prices charged, it was a very mediocre meal.

    Omelette

The best thing on the table was the bacon. I'm giving it a 1 because the ambience is great and it's a cute diner vibe. Service was fine but I personally don't like when restaurants have rotating servers, it makes the experience impersonal. The house potatoes are not normal breakfast potatoes they are mashed up potatoes with tons of other veggies which was not advertised. My omelette was not salted at all and the mushrooms were not cooked. The rye bread is straight card board tasting. The wheat bread with jam was good probably just because of the jam. Would not recommend.

Homemade Corned Beef Hash and Eggs

While the service was excellent, the food this time around was not as good as I remembered. We stopped by for brunch as I was craving their homemade corned beef hash. However this time it was so dry! Not the same consistency as last time. The service was excellent as we were one of the first customers on a Saturday 9am! Right when they opened. By the time we left, there were more customers. Overall sad to say the cooking is not consistent.

As I said it's a snug spot. Definitely make reservs if you want a table. After a certain age I realized I may need a seat. LOL. The crowd also tends to be a little more mature, so if you're 30+ and looking for an older crowd, this may be your type of place. The food selection, however, is pretty limited, and the music really seems to depend on which DJ is there. Some DJs are good and others are just okay. The last time I went was Wednesday, July 29, and while I had an okay time, the DJ really wasn't all that. My biggest concern, though, is the liquor. My usual drink is Grey Goose or Tito's with soda water. I drink this regularly at home and at other places without waking up with a headache. Both times I visited The Record Room, I specifically ordered Grey Goose with soda water, and both times I woke up with a significant headache. The first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it could have been a coincidence. That's actually one of the reasons I was willing to go back. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened after my second visit. I obviously cannot confirm what was actually poured, but because this has happened both times at this particular establishment, it does make me question whether I was actually being served the liquor I requested and paid for. When you're paying top-shelf prices, you should feel confident that you're receiving the brand you ordered. Overall: nice ambiance, mature crowd, limited food options, hit-or-miss DJs, and unfortunately a liquor experience that has now left me questioning what I was served twice. For those reasons, 2 out of 5 stars for me.

The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.
