Half frango com catupiry and half a moda. Pair with guarana to make it perfect!
Mel S.

I ordered the beef stew from here once and it was missing the sweet plantains and casava. It was mostly beans and rice. However! I decided to give another shot on the Brazilian pizza. I ordered half "frango com catupiry "and half "A moda!" And wow I was surprised! Delicious so it made up for the bad experience from before. I Will definitely order pizza here again. I have not tried their buffet yet.

The food is great, but pricey and the place is small compared to other venues. The open buffet offers some great choices.

Definitely one of my favorite takeout places in Mount Vernon. I usually grab some rice and a few slices of picanha, and it is enough to fill me up. If you've never been, the setup may be a little confusing. When you first walk in there's a buffet with salads, rice, beans, and an ever changing variety of other dishes. Grab a plate or container, and fill it up with what you desire before going over to the grilling station. At the grill they'll put your meat in a different plate or container because the price per pound is different. Then you just take the items up to the counter where they are weighed and you pay. Very easy, very tasty, highly recommended. It is the best Brazilian food I've had in the US, and it is super authentic and brings me right back to the comforting flavors I remember when living in Brazil.

The drink ( Lemonade ) in resemblance however did a number on me. For anybody looking to try it drink in moderation because it will creep up on you. We sat outside at a table and they had live music which was very entertaining. The rating I'm giving is 4 because of that dam lemonade like drink which I wouldn't mess with again, But the meats were definitely a 5

I very much have always loved the experience of Texas de Brazil…read more I love the cheesy bread, the salad bar and tried a really yummy Brazilian soda this time around. At the salad bar, I got some cheese, prosciutto, rice, potato salad, green beans, asparagus and potatoes au gratin. The only thing I found worth getting again was the potato salad but I didn't even need it because the mashed potatoes they bring out were enough for me, they're pretty good. I didn't like how the vegetables were all cold. The potatoes au gratin were warm but weren't good in my opinion but I was here for the steak so let's get to it: Picanha top sirloin - fire honestly, my favorite. Perfectly cooked. No notes whatsoever. This heavily weighed my rating. Tri tip - Pretty good taste, could've been more rare in my opinion. Flank - Okay, a little tougher than I was expecting. Garlic steak - Tough, not garlicky enough, overdone :/ not good. Barbeque ribs - Alot of cartilage, flavor was fine, not my favorite especially when there's steak involved. Bacon-wrapped filet - it was first brought out well done so I asked if they had it more rare. The server was nice enough to put in a medium rare request for me! He came back in about 5-10 minutes and it was more medium than rare (he asked me if it was alright and I lied because I didn't want to cause more stress so that's on me lol) I will say that it was definitely more rare than that first one and was more tender than the garlic steak but it fully absorbed the bacon flavor and it was a bit too much for me to enjoy. Other notes: I avoided the chicken because I remembered that it tends to be dry and I was right based on my family's reactions. I'm not a huge fan of sausage but my brother did have three of them so they're probably good lmao. The bananas are a good palate cleanser for in between and after. Since my birthday is coming up, I got a piece of the banana's foster pie and it was good! Just could do without the nuts inside personally. I would try something else next time probably. I think overall, Texas de Brazil is a bit hit or miss but I do enjoy the experience of trying and comparing different cuts, and there are some really good ones that make it worth it especially when I've been to expensive steakhouses that definitely don't have anything as good as that amazing picanha steak.

Ambiance, service, cocktails, and food were all on point. The decor was very stylish and chic. Phil…read morewas our server, he was very friendly and provided recommendations. For cocktails, I had the lychee pearfection and my husband had a sangria. Drinks were tasty. For our appetizers, we had the philly cheese steak egg rolls and crispy popcorn shrimp. The popcorn shrimp was overly breaded and was our least favorite. I would order the philly cheese steak egg rolls again, very delicious. For my entree, I had the salmon a la plancha and my husband had the grilled skirt steak. Both are amazing dishes and highly recommend. The food was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. For dessert, we had the nutella cake to end our dinner and definitely a standout. Fun and energetic vibes, would definitely come back and try their brunch.

The water came in a carafe but then it had a closure contraption on top making it look like a reused Grölsch beer bottle. The coffee tastes like instant. The tea selection came out in a wooden box that was contained many different kinds of herbal infusions and with the choice of Lipton regular or Lipton decaf black tea. Embarrassing. Two massive (7 meters wide?) tv screens and music so loud you can't hold a conversation if you're older than 30. So yes, they spent time, money, and effort on this place but it seems like it was all directed by one heterosexual man. If they hired someone who knew what they were doing to be in charge of the coffee and tea it would bump it up to a higher class. And goodness sake, get clear water glasses!

First time going out to eat in this area and it wasn't a bad time at all! Good music and the food…read morewas good. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves!

Bad, bad, very bad…read more I am laid back when it comes to service at restaurants -- but there is one thing I cannot abide: dishonesty. There are a few other Yelp reviews that mention overcharging. We can corroborate those complaints. The Pardner ordered chicken tacos, which were listed on the menu as $12 (or $9 if the restaurant had honored the happy hour menu). Instead, we were charged $22 for shrimp tacos -- and this is after the Pardner specifically mentioned that he was NOT ordering shrimp tacos as he does not eat shrimp. When we politely brought this to the wait staff's attention, they denied that there had been an overcharge. Since the card had already been run, we didn't make a scene of it. But fellow Yelpers be warned: ******* THIS IS NOT AN HONEST ESTABLISHMENT. ******* Tacos were made with flour tortillas, more lettuce than chicken, and quite unlike what you'd find in Mexico. Supposedly Peruvian ceviche was not that. It lacked much acid or heat, and the usual accompaniments (e.g. cancha, sweet potato). The leche de tigre had a touch of a prefabricated something that unfortunately recalled Mr. T's bloody Mary mix. Meals out should be fun; they should not make you sad. This place just made me very, very sad. I would strongly recommend that others avoid.
