Cruz mini mart just delivered me the worst sandwich ever. The bread was so stale and disgusting i was totally unable to eat it . A simple cheese sandwich on toasted rye (which they probably had for years) and they couldn't even Remember the mustard. Never again will i waste my $$$$$$$$$ read more

Here you will find your little bit of Portugal in Mount Vernon. They carry all different types of FRESH Portuguese Breads, egg tarts (natas), and grocery products. I find my favorite purest virgin olive oil, Saloio here. Traditional presunto (Prosciutto) done the Portuguese way, Portuguese Chourico, Linguica etc.. I'm hungry just writing this review. Since I live up the block from here, this place has always been convenient for me. Over the past 14 years I've bought from here and I've never had a bad experience with them. Their food is amazing. I love this deli which is really so much more than a deli. The chicken tacos are out of this world as is the eggplant rollatini. But the best part is the fresh Portuguese rolls. All our food was fresh and packaged with care since we got it to go. Great bifana sandwich, linguiça, presunto, and pasteis de nata. The menu included a wide variety of American deli classics along with the traditional Portuguese market items. Looking forward to a return visit to try more of their kitchen's offerings. if you're looking for Portuguese items in Westchester than this is the place to go. The area is clean and the quality of the items can't be beat (unless you're in Newark)! i normally go in there for some Pasteis de Nata (try them!) and some other items I can't get upstate! There bread selection is pretty amazing and they do have some good chourico! Keep in mind, the items are a bit on the pricey side but it sure does beat not having to deal with NJ drivers! read more

I ordered several times from this place. Always an error with my orders. Finally I had it and called asking them to correct their error. I was told that they could not and would not correct sending me the wrong, incorrect item...not a good move. I no longer order from them and will not ever order from them again because there is no real care for the customer, who by the way affords the workers their salary. Not a good look. read more

This was one of favorite locations to buy a tuna fish sandwich on a hero. Overtime I started to notice they were skimming on the tuna on the last few sandwiches I purchased. My very last purchase which was about a week ago would be my last after they placed such a small crappy amount of tuna in my hero sandwich for the amount of money I paid. Don't get me wrong I called Cruz and spoke with Pete, but he did very little to keep me as a future customer. He should have at least offered to charge me half on my next purchase for getting only half the tuna quantity in the previous purchase. That is simply wrong and deceiving to charge anyone full price for half the quantity in tuna. Don't even try to play it off as a mistake by one of your employees when its clearly a ploy for you to maximize your profits while giving the paying customer the short end of the stick. I will make sure to tell anyone else to stay clear of this so called deli. read more
