Has this deli ever let me down? Never. They've been there for my lowest lows and highest highs. A warm custom made sandwich is there to comfort me at any hour. Tough day at the hospital? Anthony is there for me. Drunk and coming home at 4am? Anthony is there for me. Woke up hungry and in a rush? Anthony is there for me. They crush their rivals Tasty Picks in sandwich making and I want everyone in the area to understand that. read more

I always like to be fair when writing these reviews and there are times I give places another shot. This is one of the times I'm glad I did. I've been sampling things here lately and each and every item I've ordered from here has been great. From the wraps to the heroes to the salads, it's been one fresh thing to another. This has become one of my go to spots whenever I'm in the area. As mentioned in the other review, they do have a wide range of drinks to select from as well as snacks/candy. Staff has been friendly. The only issue can be when it's overcrowded - there needs to be a system where the next person in line is actually next and not the person who cuts them off or can talk the loudest. It's not this place's fault really and more about the rudeness of customers, but there needs to be some order when there's chaotic times. So while there are plenty of similar options in the area, this has become a step above with freshness and taste. I will be coming here a lot more. read more

This is a store by the hospital and clinics. They are very popular because you can see that they have alot of options to make a great sandwich. They stay open late and the prices are great. They have plenty of drink options along with cakes and chips. They also make great smoothies and salads. When Im in this area I prefer to choose this place to grab a bite rather then the other options and there are plenty. That speaks volumes. So you want a good sandwich this is one spot to check out. After you pick one up, walk a couple blocks down and chill out in Van Cortlant Park to enjoy, if the weather's good. read more

BEST SANDWICH!!!! This was my first time ordering from here and I wasn't disappointed! This place knows how to make a mean sandwich. GREAT portions!!!!! The meat and produce is fresh! The bread was perfect, not too hard and not too soft. I love sandwiches and I've been to quite a few places around town and have been disappointed. Bro this place is TRASH ! Had the nerve to list on Uber eats (Anthony's famous Salad bar) and had me thinking it was a legit food business that specializes in salads! WRONG ! this is Straight Trashhhh ! Went today and bought a soda for 2 dollars. Got my recipt balance of 235 dollars. A few hours later Went to the supermarket and my balance was 4 dollars. Seems like they are doing scams with their machines. So check their machines before swiping your card. Not sure if they are in on it. First off all praise is due to this spot for always being fresh and more on point than bayonett on a musket. They have everything from a chopped cheese to salads.why so fresh? The fire Dept , the precinct and the hospital literally make sure the food never sits long enough. But they take pride in what they do. This is the best sandwich spot in all of NYC. read more

The food at this deli is simply amazing. Whatever you order and it's going to be good. There's the special sandwiches that other delis try to replicate. They my favorite ocks. They got their new menu in the store and all the prices updated on it. The sign outside with the little led board is nice looking too. They offer delivery through various apps too. I've ordered from this place three times. EVERY SINGLE TIME, they've messed up my order. I write special instructions (for example: no lettuce and tomatoes) and they only comply with half of the instructions. This time I got no tomatoes but my sandwich was filled with shredded lettuce. It took me 10 minutes to pick each piece of lettuce off before I could eat. It's really annoying. Their food is good but if I can't get it the way that I want it I'll keep my money. read more

Anthony's Famous Deli, has been part of our daily lives for the past 27+ years, not only for me, but to my family. Their service is much more than courtesy. This 24/7 joint is popular with both Montefiore and North Central Bronx Hospital employees, as well as other medical personnel in the area. These folks are my neighbors. The fresh squeezed juices, sandwiches, smoothies and wraps, are always made fresh by order, always with a great service and smile at all times. They recently gave the deli a nice renovation. I just came from Bay Plaza Mall, and I was craving one of their sandwiches. Tonight, I ordered a Nurse's Delight sandwich. It consists of turkey, Swiss cheese, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. The sandwich comes with a free beverage of your choice. This establishment is a blessing, when it comes to overnight emergencies such as, from packets of Nyquil, laundry detergent, up to a variety of snacks. The eggplant sandwich was probably our fave, but we go back and forth on that a bit. - There are a few tables inside so that we could sit and eat there. We sat at a table with waitress service. The menu seems to be getting larger and more like a restaurant with more reasonable prices. We've always shared a sandwich and salad here, they e always been excellent. Today we noticed some having soup, hot hero's, bowls of pasta, platters of parmagino,, wines, beer and Prosecco too. It's such a tough decision will we share a three tenor hero with smoked mozzarella or the Pavarotti with eggplant. Our focaccia sandwich was huge and is enough for 2 of us. Everything here is just so fresh and delicious. The lunch crowd just left and I'm glad we were able to find a table. Delicious huge lunch that we shared, it was a real treat!
