    The Paula Deen Special

Don't sleep on the Paula Deen sandwich at this place. Big sandwich can split the hero and share with someone. Located great area

Best italian sandwich ever. Had a great flavor combination. I do wish they used mozzarella or burrata instead of their really strong Parmesan but it was fine. Tasted delicious!

First time here , walked inside this mini mall ... not every place was open yet ..late afternoon I walked to the back of this place and saw Mikes deli . It's a very Huge section,sandwich's/ cold cuts , hot prepared foods too like Lasagna, and chicken parmigiana. ℹ ordered they smoked fresh mozzarella , and the ricotta balls w/ sauce ! It wasn't busy when I ordered, it was a Wednesday afternoon, coming from the bronx zoo early in the day! You can seat inside the place as there's a seating area towards the middle of the food court !

Haven't stopped by yet?! Why not?!! What are you waiting for! Great service and great fresh sandwiches!!...Cheers!

This is one of the best sandwich spots and few that actually make huge sandwiches located in a beautiful italian area.

Did a little self guided food tour of the stores of Artur Avenue this morning with a bunch of friends and this was our fourth stop. I don't know how I'm the first to review, because this place has been here forever. Must be some sort of Yelp algorithm misfire. I used to come here fairly regularly when I worked nearby from 1999-2001. The sandwiches were always huge and delicious. Today, I passed on the food, as I had made some other food purchases prior. But I did buy a couple of bottles of their homemade wine to take home. Sweet. Like sangria. Good stuff.

Panini Del Amore was ridiculously memorable. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The prosciutto was decadent, the burrata was creamy and the arugula was well dressed. Was it expensive? Yes. But was it worth it? You bet!!! Get this!

Sandwich was good. The ordering, paying and pickup was super confusing. Possibly COVID related.

Epic sandwiches, very classic old Italian market. And a great venue to take out-of-towners so they can have the "old New York" experience.

However, it was probably about 20-30 minutes before we took our order, so service is definitely fast! Inside is super small, but there are lots of Italian goods around to see. There are also blocks/rounds of cheese you can purchase too. We got The Casa, and ate it outside. Service was so kind and we even got to see them make mozzarella in the back! I don't think this sandwich was my favorite unfortunately. The bread had a funky smell(?) to it, and I feel like it fell a little flat on flavors and textures. Regardless, I am glad I tried and met the incredible team!

Food & Service: 5/5 There's no sit-down service here, but they're incredibly fast. I ordered a hero and a large order of mozzarella to go, and it took less than 20 minutes. Everything was prepared right in front of me, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: 5/5 The space is definitely tight -- you'll have to go single file to get in and out -- but it's homey in the best way. Watching them make your sandwich and fresh mozzarella in real time adds to the charm. Food Highlights: I got the Italian combo, which came with a thick slice of fresh mozzarella that was practically dripping, paired with generous portions of deli meats. Add in a perfectly crunchy hero roll, and it was the perfect lunch. Overall: A classic Little Italy stop. Simple, fresh, and worth every bite.

I don't even like eggplant and I'm in love with this dish. All of the sandwiches hit too. The Italian sushi is interesting, but eat it fresh as the arugula doesn't stand up to refrigeration too well. My perfect foodie day is going to Mike's, buying some mortadella and a ball of homemade mozzarella, then popping into Madonia's next door to get a loaf and some fresh hand-filled cannoli.

I finally was served by Chef David Greco himself. He beat Bobby Flay in Eggplant throw down. You can see the picture of him on the show. Dave is super friendly and engaging. The Italian sushi is definitely very innovative. Soft prosciutto is rolled in sushi style with filling of arugula, cheese, and sun dried tomatoes. There are two kinds of dipping: balsamic and pesto. Both of them are complimenting the sushi. Eggplant parmigiana is definitely a must try. It's like a lasagna made of layers of thin fried eggplant. You can make mozzarella pull. So delicious, not surprised that he beat Bobby Flay.

The Neighbourhood is chock, full of restaurants, pastry shops, meat markets, seafood shops, but the center of it all, is the Arthur Avenue retail market. It's a fantastic place. All of your shopping in one indoor space. You can get your groceries, your Italian meats, your veggies, you can stop in and have a beer, you can buy cigars, they had the only T-shirt shop that I saw up here, when Mulberry Street is full of them. You can get gelato, you can have a good glass of wine, you can have dessert, etc..... I stopped into Mike's deli (separate review) and tried the veal Parm that went up against Bobby Flay. It was excellent. I also stopped in at the end of my visit, to O'ccaffe, (separate review ) the pastry and coffee place right at the entrance to the market. The cappuccino was amazing, but the cannoli was a little bit different. I've always had my cannolis with a crisp shell. This cannoli, had a soft shell. The filling was excellent, but I just would've preferred a hard shell. Other than that, everything was fantastic. This place is worth a visit. Thank you.
