If you love meats, then you should definitely give this place a try. Went to celebrate my birthday and we had a fantastic time here. Definitely must order: Chourica Assado (flaming sausage) - holy hell the tastiest sausage I have ever had in my life, wrap it in a bread and WOW so good, Camaraon Aguillo - a nice little shrimp starter with some black olives, Bife Na Pedra - wow this cooks nicely on the stone and was soooo tasty - I think it was shell steak, and Bife Portuguesa (a classic), that came with a ton of potato chips, egg, ham and a nice sirloin steak. We also enjoyed Quinta De Cabriz wine with our meal. This place has an old school, casual vibe to it. It's a bar but functioning as a restaurant as well - a place you can take your non-bougie friend to or even your grandparents or dad who likes their steak. Being in NY for the holidays I was looking to try something I hadn't yet so I Yelped and found this place. I read the reviews and decided to give it a chance. I was looking to try this due to not been tried Portuguese food until that moment. The place is unassuming and is visited mostly fit for the locals and the name can be disguising "Barbecue". I had a really gratifying surprise with my decision. The place didn't disappointe at all. Everything in the place was awesome! From the chorizo and the clams to the sopa galega to the Mariscada and Paella Valenciana everything was on point. Lincoln barbecue what can I say I'm an avid bird hunter in the Northwest and a film director and VFX supervisor in Los Angeles and have directed a lot of hip-hop music videos and felt right at home when I was in the heart of the hood in East Yonkers last night when I came across a Portuguese barbecue restaurant called Lincoln bbq. It is an amazing place the clientele mainly seemed like Portuguese. Their's a family atmosphere in which an hour to close, and I quickly saw and ordered the "Duck with blueberry sauce". Damn, these mothf*#%ers gave me one of the best duck eating experiences I've ever had, right up there next to perfectly roast Thai duck I use to get in San Francisco in the 1980s. Lincoln bbq created a perfectly roasted Portuguese style duck with blueberry sauce, with succulent mashed potatoes and spinach. I love that they're above the par, here in NYC area, but they're on a fine gourmet level and the surprise is you can find it right in the East Yonkers hood:) Try it aight! read more

Yelp doesn't often steer me wrong, and I often trust reviews almost more than I would one friend's personal recommendation ("power by numbers"!) Unfortunately, this was one of those rare occasions where I was unpleasantly let down by high hopes from Yelp. My family and I stopped here to get some take-out to take home. Firstly, the name "barbecue" is misleading, because when I searched for BBQ joints in Mt. Vernon from Yelp Mobile, this one shouldn't have popped up. Yes, it does have some BBQ items, but its selection doesn't qualify for a BBQ joint. Needless to say, we were tired and decided to select from the menu anyway. There was an odd split between very reasonably priced sandwiches and appetizers and relatively pricey entree items. It didn't seem like there was too much of a middle ground. We ordered cheese empanadas (should have been called 'Mozzarella Sticks from the freezer, that's what they were'), chicken wings (battered and fried with no seasoning on the wings what so ever), a pork sandwich (not too much flavor with a lot of peppers all over the plate), ribs (a small rack - not too much value for what you pay for), and a roasted full chicken. The first waitress who took our order did not know English very well at all, which is something I often expect in a small restaurant owned by immigrants, but she also didn't understand any of the Portuguese names for any of the items. Out of desperation, I said "Hablas Espanol?" and she started chatting away full-speed. I know Spanglish pretty well, and thought my dictation of what we wanted was going well, but she was having such a hard time understanding the Portuguese names for the dishes that she had what I assume to be her supervisor come over to help. This individual was the type of person who says something with an attitude but has a smile on your face while doing it. After an extremely long day, it was hard to understand if she was being helpful or pissy or both. She was very odd in many ways, especially when I ordered rice and beans for my mother who was outside smoking and she asked, "Can you please call your mother now to ask her if she wants red or black beans?" after I had just said red beans and rice. After ordering a $60 meal for takeout, I asked for 3 portuguese rolls to take home. She actually had the audacity to say to me that she normally charges 50 cents per roll but they were on the house. Why even say something like that when someone just spent that much money? I was born and raised in southern Westchester county, and there is absolutely no way that this establishment has one of the best meals in the county as previously mentioned. Maybe in Mt. Vernon, but there are better places to eat that are worth the drive or walk... read more

Lincoln barbecue is really more of a bar than a restaurant- there are only 3 or 4 tables- but wow is the roasted chicken here delicious. Ribs are also great. Call in advance for pickup, or sit at the bar and watch the game while you eat. the sides are generally strong- with a few that are not great (I don't love the conch fritters). One of the best meals in Westchester- and at a great value. read more

The bbq chicken here is one of the best in the area. The garlic sauce they give you in those small cups really makes the meal. The french fries here are also crispy and delicious. Great place for take out. An alternative to chinese or pizza. However, you can eat there if you want - small remodeled dining room/bar. My favorites at Lincoln Barbeque are the duck with blueberry sauce, roasted chicken and last but not least...the steak lincoln with potato chip fries. The foods are complex and layered with flavors. I couldn't find a menu on line but you can call them, the staff is helpful and friendly. I can agree with the rest of the other 5 star reviews. It's really good food. read more

This place is a little gem. I have been ordering food here for the past 5 years. The grilled chicken, grilled ribs, steamed vegetables, and seafood paella is absolutely the best and very well priced. I had some guests over this past weekend, ordered a variety of items mentioned above and everyone was quite amazed and fascinated about how good the food was and the size and portions. I hope this restaurant stays as consistent as it has been, and you have to make sure you get the garlic oil sauce to pour over the chicken and ribs (to die for). It isn't your traditional bbq sauce that most are used to, it's grilled South American style to perfection with great seasonings and condiments that go with it. read more

This place is horrible. Before you can enter the restaurant your greeted by what looks to gangsters huddled up smoking , be sure to say excuse me because they will not move . The food is so so at best! I had a simple steak salad ! I say simple because for the 12$ I spent the salad included tomatoes , onions and lettuce!! Came here at 8:00 on a Thursday night. Not to many people in there maybe about 3 or 4 people.. They have a bar that is decently stocked booths on the right hand side when u walk in more of a bar atmosphere, a TV on each wall of the room. There's one bartender/ server who was helpful when I asked for recommendations. Ordered the chicken ribs and fries and a shrimp appetizer. She told me it would be about ten minutes. 45 minutes later the order was brought out. I came to pay and she looked through the bags as if something was missing. Took the bag back in the kitchen and came out I guess with the right order. I don't mind waiting for food if it's made to order and it's fresh but waiting four times the time I was told is sucky... Very sucky. So I came home and opened up my food. The ribs were mediocre a little on the dry side. The chicken was ok nothing to do backflips over. The shrimp appetizer came with alot of shrimp but lacked flavor and looked like they were swiming in oil. I however did like 2 french fries that were not soggy that I purchased. I probably wouldnt go back here again theres plenty of other bbq options in this area. read more
