We just ordered from Reno's tonight and it was very good. I've been reluctant to get delivery from new places because we're often disappointed but I do have to say that the delivery time was reasonable, the food arrived hot and it tasted really good! We had penne vodka, minus the prosciutto (my pork run is over), and they made it exactly as I requested. We also had fettuccine alfredo with chicken which was tasty but could have used a bit more chicken. We also added a side of sautéed broccoli rabe with olive oil and garlic which was extremely oily but is to be expected and kind of a bonus since they sent a huge chunk of crusty bread to round out our meal. There was definitely enough for tomorrow's dinner so I'm off the hook with cooking this weekend. I would definitely order from them again. Our one peeve with this experience was the fact that despite our delivery profile request that our doorbell not be rung because we have a baby and dogs that bark, the delivery guy called us to say he was outside with our order and then STILL rang the bell. Luckily our daughter wasn't sleeping but it is certainly a pain in the ass when they ring the bell, causing a few moments of wolf-like howling from our shibas.

Love the traditional ambiance of this neighborhood restaurant. There was a live singer on Friday night. Obviously a local because he knew everyone. We were seated right away in the main dining room and attended to quite well. Staff very friendly and checked on us at a good pace. They served us a generous basket of Italian bread along with 3 pieces of foccacia. Some dipping oil would have been a nice touch. We ordered a mussels appetizer with spicy marina, seafood pasta, broccoli rabe, and the home made spinach cannnelloni. The mussels were okay. Our mistake in thinking the sauce would be thick versus soupy. Taste was fine. The cannelloni was very good. The pasta was tender and the sauces were very good. The broccoli rabe had delicious slices of garlic and was swimming in olive oil. The pasta was presented well but just okay. The calamari was over cooked. Oh, and we ordered dessert to go. Impressive dessert menu. We got a cannoli and a slice of ricotta cheese cake. I hadn't had ricotta cheese cake so it seemed too wet. I ate the slice and grew find of it. Cannoli was very good. Crunchy shell filled with ricotta and chocolate chips. It was not overly sweet. We are visiting from out of state so we can't come back. I'd visit again if the opportunity were to come up.

A customer got up to sing with the piano player

A hidden gem! I've been living 15 minutes away from this place for years. So glad my friends invited me. On Friday nights does a fabulous romantic piano player... I'm Italian, so I can be very critical on Italian food... The food was really good! They even have valet parking sometimes.. we were a very large party, and all of us agree. The food was great, the service was great, and we will be returning.!

My daughter gets the penne a la vodka with chicken every time!

Very reasonably priced for such great tasting food. Every person at my party of 110 people were raving about the great food and service. I am so very grateful to the three lovely ladies that served my guests; Bernadette, Chrissy, and Leona. they were attentive, polite, professional and could not have worked any harder. There was also still plenty of food to take home which left me guests feeling very happy to have another day of delicious food. To everyone at Hearty and Healthy, thank you all so much from the food preparation, exceptional service, and all of the take home containers you prepared. I cannot thank you all enough!

I grabbed a tin of Shepard's pie for $7 (they had a hot option, but I wanted it for work the next day). It was quite tasty and a very good size for the price. In addition to the prepackaged reheatables and salads, they also have a hot food bar where you can get a fresh plate--small around $9, large around $12. It was post-Thanksgiving and they had roast turkey and sides--pretty decent as well--again, good portion for the price--I might have been a little turkeyed out at that point, though. They also have a sampling of sweets and pastries and a coffee/tea bar up front. A couple of stools if you want to eat in, but really seems best suited for grabbing something hearty and, well--not unhealthy, at any rate--for lunch or dinner when you don't have time to cook.

Though not huge, their menu is plant based with an assortment of brunch/lunch items like bowls, salads and interesting sushi, as well as smoothies and other drinks. If you're open to vegan food and uncommon items in a western diet, you'll enjoy it. The pad thai slaw and sushirito were delicious and well made and everything on the menu was inviting. The teas were lovely and I really enjoyed being able to select a blend of herbs for my tea mug. There was some herbal water available, and a selection of desserts on the counter and in the fridge - chocolatey delights like "snickers" bars. We found a corner next to the stage with two armchairs and a coffee table which was the coziest corner to sit and chat. Though it was Friday afternoon at lunch time and there were several other small groups, it never felt crowded and we were able to stay for a few hours enjoying our tea and meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and non-intrusive. You order at the counter and then sit down, and we were not disturbed at all besides our meal being brought to us when it was ready. Parking is limited but at least they have a lot. It's a short walk into the main part of the town. They also occasionally host events. Looking forward to returning!

The baked clams and mussels were outstanding, and the crusty bread was perfect for soaking up every drop of sauce. I added jalapeños to the Snow White pizza and it was incredible. The dough had the perfect chew and flavor. My boyfriend's chicken parm was massive--two huge cutlets--and easily a 10/10. The seafood pasta was equally delicious. Dessert was the perfect finish: frozen espresso, refreshing lemon sorbet, and a giant tiramisu that's big enough for a crowd. My only small complaint is that guests pack their own leftovers. At this level, I think the staff should handle that. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

My friend and I stopped by La Lanterna on April 12, 2026 during a long bike ride for lunch. We…read moredidn't have bike locks with us, so I went inside to ask the manager, Bill, if we could leave our bikes in the (closed) patio area since we were worried about them being stolen. Unfortunately, he was extremely dismissive and simply said no, then added that there were no tables available for us--which was odd considering the group right after us got seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or what, but his overall attitude felt very cold and unwelcoming. We ended up sitting at the bar, and to be fair, Bill did help coordinate with the bartender Ana to get us seats together, which I appreciated. Ana herself was kind and attentive, though when we asked for food recommendations, she mostly just said "everything is great." I personally prefer a bit more honest guidance. For food, we shared the Hot Honey Roni Sicilian, Caesar salad, and calamari fritti. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were good, and my friend and I always make the best of things, but for the price point (about $80 each with two drinks and tip), I expected better service and slightly more generous portions. I'd consider going back, especially if we're biking in the area again--but next time, we'll definitely bring bike locks...and avoid the garden
