I was deciding between the turkey salad and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta from the lunch specials and asked our server how the chicken salad was, She said it was her favorite and that it was a lot of people's go-to, so I decided to order that. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Heritage Nachos, Loaded Tater Tot Skillet, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta. The nachos weren't really for me (I didn't love the type of chips used), but the tots were good and my boyfriend liked his cheesesteak. I absolutely loved the chicken salad sandwich and fries. I get a little fixated on foods I like, so I had honestly been craving that sandwich ever since. 3/14 SECOND VISIT: I decided to come back on March 14 specifically hoping to order the chicken salad sandwich again. It was much busier due to St. Patrick's weekend,I was alone, I was seated in a booth in the back. I was given the dinner menu, so I asked the server about the chicken salad sandwich I had previously ordered. She didn't recognize the sandwich but offered to ask the kitchen after I showed her a photo and the menu from my previous visit. Unfortunately she came back and said they couldn't make it. She suggested a grilled chicken sandwich, but I declined since I'm not really a fan of grilled chicken. I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich and asked for a few modifications (no stuffing or cranberry mayo, just regular mayo on a ciabatta). When the food came out, I immediately knew it wasn't turkey. I waited until the server came back and asked her to confirm what meat was on the sandwich. She initially told me it was turkey. After taking it apart & having a few bites I knew it wasn't turkey. I winded up eating the fries and asking for the bill. I decided to show her the inside of the sandwich again and asked her to double check with the kitchen, she returned and confirmed it was actually ham, even though the ticket showed that she ordered turkey. She did offer to remake the sandwich, but it would have taken another 10-15 minutes and at that point I was already over it. I ended up just paying, and leaving. I completely understand that menus change and servers can't memorize every item. I just wish the sandwich had been confirmed with the kitchen sooner when I questioned it the first time. Overall, my first visit was great, and that chicken salad sandwich was honestly amazing. I just wish the second visit had gone a little smoother.

Wow! The dishes were delicious and innovative! Our server, Daniel, was spot on with his…read morerecommendations - we enjoyed our cocktail (La Guelaguetza) and sharing the generous portions of Esquites (corn), Tlayuda (large tostada), and Enmoladas de pato (duck confit). As a corn lover, the flavor note of Esquites just reminded me of elotes that you get from a street vendor in Mexico. The Tlayuda was huge! We added carne asada as our topping, and it turned into an huge entree that's shareable between two people. We finished our meal with the most flavor-intense dish - duck confit enmoladas. Despite not being a crazy mole fan, the mole sauce that was drizzled all over the enmoladas had a perfect balance of rich notes with a bit of bittersweet chocolate undertone. The ambiance was great with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, and the restaurant made it so special for us by providing a menu printed with "happy anniversary" with a note card and glasses of sparkling wine! This is a gem that's not to be missed!!!

By then the hostess had already seated us and I was immersed in the excellent service and the delicious aromas from the open kitchen. My husband lived in Mexico City for a time and he said this was some of the best Mexican food he'd had. The corn vermouth was delicious and I'd never heard of sotol so tried it in a paloma, which was great. Definitely will go back again, but only once my wallet has recovered.

When I tell you that the food I ate here made my entire week, what I'm trying to say is that the…read morecatfish and cornbread are the most pure soul food I've had. We ate in the brewery behind the restaurant (there's a cool service window to the back kitchen behind the bar!), and I could not possibly have expected the meal we enjoyed. As I mentioned, the catfish sandwich was lovely, soft fish encased in a light frying batter that was just deliciously spiced. The cornbread is absolutely not to be missed, it is thick and moist. The servings are generous and you will feel fulfilled at the end of your meal. My wife had the honey BBQ wings, and when you get the option, have these baked, not fried. I'm sure the fried wings are lovely, but the baked is cooked so tenderly that the meat was just falling off the bone into the sweet sauce below (which you should dip your cornbread in). Don't forget to ask for some house secret sauce for your food. I'm fairly certain you could put it on anything and it will become even more irresistible than it seems when you first smell the aromas wafting up from your dish. I have two regrets. I didn't take any pictures of my food, and I don't have a second stomach. Get yourself here as soon as you can, bring an empty stomach and an open heart. The staff is so kind and the owner is a joy of a woman that serves up her smile and kindness as much as she serves up a filling meal. I will be making sure to get back here soon so I can explore the menu more.

Most of my oxtails were inedible; so tough a fork couldn't penetrate and neither could my teeth. Rice was mush; yet at the same time loaded with crunchy, uncooked grains. A lot of money wasted. Macaroni was mush too, with clumps of unmelted cheese. Greens were edible, but not the best greens I've ever had. I know any restaurant can have a bad day, but this was so bad I would not even think of giving it a second chance.
