Only reason I know about this place is from my best friends holiday party that I crashed! The food is so fresh and flavorful every time. Fabulous Portuguese restaurant with lots of seafood and meat options. Hidden gem in Yonkers for sure!

Food was honestly super delicious. I would definitely recommend the steak on stone if it is your first time here. I had one of today's specials, shrimp with vegetables and potatoes. It was very delicious! It exceeded my expectations. Potatoes had a nice crust to them, vegetables were very good and the sauce with it was perfect! Had a nice garlic taste. Service was good and our server recommended many good options to eat.

Can't say enough good things about this place! Victor took great care of our table of 8. 7 of us came from across the country or from Europe to celebrate an event. Food was AMAZING.! Felt like we dined in Portugal. We hope to return next year. Victor went above expectations, making excellent suggestions for our table. Calm and sophisticated ambiance. Obrigada!

I will admit that based on all the 5-star reviews on here I was REALLY looking forward to trying this restaurant. Disappointingly it wasn't what I expected. I ordered the chicken and rib dinner for 2 which comes with a large salad, a round loaf of bread, a pan of rice, french fries, chicken and ribs chopped into pieces. Now I will admit that you get plenty of food and most of it tasted ok, but the chicken was dry. Really dry. Thank goodness that I asked for extra garlic sauce because it came in handy. The ribs were better than the chicken but still cooked a little harder than I would like. Wish I could give a higher rating but they missed the mark on my meal.

My wife and I met up with some great friends at this restaurant. The restaurant is in a not so great area, and parking is limited. Our friends ordered the mussels for an appetizer. The broth that the mussels were in was very tasteful. Along with the mussels we decided to get a bottle of red wine. I am not a fan of wine but this wine was worth getting. We decided to order entrees and I ordered Portuguese steak. It was thin streak but topped with a layer of ham and a fried egg on top. My friend decided to get the steak cooked on a stone. The steak was just perfect. To top it off the service was on point. Our waiter Victor was attentive, friendly, and was quick. I would come back here again definitely worth coming

I throughly love this place, from the food to the service. To me it's as close as I get to being back home. Food is authentic, tasteful and filling. Service(Wednesday - Thursday) Vitor will take care of you. Not only guide you with whatever questions you may have, but sincerely take care of you as if you were in his own home. Pricing is affordable, and they offer amazing wines! Also ask for the sangria if that's your thing, it's out of this world!

Amazing Portuguese cuisine, grilled sausage and sizzling steak were perfection, the owner makes you feel like family, totally worth the trip.

Good place in a not so good neighborhood. But hey, friendly staff, extensive menu with many Portuguese specialties. My favorite being the Steak on a Stone which came out on a sizzling stone perfectly medium rare with 3 condiments on the side- a hot sauce, some garlic, and a melted butter sauce. This place would boom in a different neighborhood, but not a bad restaurant if trying something new.

Came here for a pre-Valentine's day dinner with my hubby. The Shrimp rice, the wine, the steak on a stone was to die for. The steak on a stone was very interactive and we were able to cook it the way we wanted, condiments came complimentary to the steak to use while you cook it. Amazing flavors!!!

Very good seafood. Service is ok. Had to ask for more water. Just be more attentive to the diners and all would be well.

His standards are quite high being from Jersey, but we decided to give it a try. The fries were good. Salmon and rice, just eh. But the one star is really for the poor service... We couldn't find a menu online and had to order in person. No big deal, salmon doesn't take long. After placing the order and waiting 30 minutes, we started to wonder. The place was mostly empty, only a few people sitting at one table. The woman taking orders told us they were backed up. Once she said this, the group at the table got up and went in the kitchen to cook. Turns out the whole time we were waiting, the cooking staff were chillin next to us. Our food came out a few minutes later, not nearly long enough to do a good job. Probably why the rice and salmon were lackluster. It's a shame bc we wanted a good Portuguese spot over here. It doesn't even come close to Ferry Street Barbecue in Newark. Don't waste your time. Take the drive to jersey instead.

We came on a Saturday night around 8:00pm and the restaurant was packed, with diners filling every room and even the bar area. Thankfully we had reservations and were seated right away. Parking can get tight on busy nights, so we used the valet, which made things easier. We started with a table favorite, chouriço, perfect for sharing while settling in. I ordered one of my go-to Portuguese dishes, Carne à Alentejana, tender cubes of pork loin sautéed with little neck clams, wine, and fresh cilantro. It delivered exactly what I was hoping for, savory, balanced, and deeply comforting. Others at the table enjoyed the broiled Mediterranean octopus and the Chilean sea bass with caper sauce, both well prepared. Service was attentive throughout, and they even offer to take a table photo for you. Portions are generous, the dining room is spotless, and the classic crumb-scraping after the meal is a nice old-school touch. Short of heading to Newark's Portuguese enclave, this is one of the best options in the area.

I very much have always loved the experience of Texas de Brazil…read more I love the cheesy bread, the salad bar and tried a really yummy Brazilian soda this time around. At the salad bar, I got some cheese, prosciutto, rice, potato salad, green beans, asparagus and potatoes au gratin. The only thing I found worth getting again was the potato salad but I didn't even need it because the mashed potatoes they bring out were enough for me, they're pretty good. I didn't like how the vegetables were all cold. The potatoes au gratin were warm but weren't good in my opinion but I was here for the steak so let's get to it: Picanha top sirloin - fire honestly, my favorite. Perfectly cooked. No notes whatsoever. This heavily weighed my rating. Tri tip - Pretty good taste, could've been more rare in my opinion. Flank - Okay, a little tougher than I was expecting. Garlic steak - Tough, not garlicky enough, overdone :/ not good. Barbeque ribs - Alot of cartilage, flavor was fine, not my favorite especially when there's steak involved. Bacon-wrapped filet - it was first brought out well done so I asked if they had it more rare. The server was nice enough to put in a medium rare request for me! He came back in about 5-10 minutes and it was more medium than rare (he asked me if it was alright and I lied because I didn't want to cause more stress so that's on me lol) I will say that it was definitely more rare than that first one and was more tender than the garlic steak but it fully absorbed the bacon flavor and it was a bit too much for me to enjoy. Other notes: I avoided the chicken because I remembered that it tends to be dry and I was right based on my family's reactions. I'm not a huge fan of sausage but my brother did have three of them so they're probably good lmao. The bananas are a good palate cleanser for in between and after. Since my birthday is coming up, I got a piece of the banana's foster pie and it was good! Just could do without the nuts inside personally. I would try something else next time probably. I think overall, Texas de Brazil is a bit hit or miss but I do enjoy the experience of trying and comparing different cuts, and there are some really good ones that make it worth it especially when I've been to expensive steakhouses that definitely don't have anything as good as that amazing picanha steak.

The service - well you feel like family. We did a tasting menu that the chef planned. 8 courses (plus bread service). Dessert was served in the kitchen. All courses had a beverage pairing. Menu: Beet / yogurt pairing with little hints of different flavors that surprise you in a good way Tomato soup (cold) - not like anything I have had before. The father of the chef grows the little tomatoes - maybe grape tomatoes. Not sure. The best tomato soup I have ever had - there were three small tomatoes floating in the soup. So tender (no skin). Wow! Raw yellow tail with two differed sauces that you combined it all together - super fresh fish, amazing sauces - I really can't find the words to do justice for this dish. Even my husband who doesn't eat any sushi had this. And loved it. Seas bass on fava bean sauce - likely the best seas bass I have had. I'm used to Black Sea bass off the boat in Montauk; hard to beat this and they did! Tiger prawn tempora - this was served with a cold beer. Omg. I will never have tempora without a beer again. (I generally don't drink beer.) The batter was exceptionally light, the flavor if the prawn shined. Sockeye salmon on rice - I am not explaining this properly. Wowowow Filet beef with a concentrated au ju - perfectly prepared ... so flavorful. So good. Dessert: tiramisu, two different decadent cookies small and wow. Chocolate truffle (maybe not the right word) but wow We started with champagne, had white wine, red wine, beer, and port. The wines were from Portugal and were sulfite free. And they were spectacular in their own right and perfect pairing with the food. We were here for a big bday cele - it was so special. I will never forget! And I look forward to going back. I wish there were more stars to give. Wish there were more adjectives. I am at a loss at how to explain how good this experience was. If you ever get a chance to go, run there! This is a small, compact place with about 2 dozen tables, but the tables are large enough and arranged well so that you don't feel crowded in. They have a small bar, but not for sitting, just serving. Everything seemed to be clean. The restaurant fills up very quickly; so you definitely need reservations. We both ordered a glass of chardonnay from Chile and lobster bisque, and we split an arugula salad. For the main course my Son ordered veal scallopini and I had the rabbit. For dessert we shared the Molotoff, which is a merengue. I had espresso and my Son a cappucino. At the beginning, they brought some nice fresh bread with a choice of butter or olive oil. The soup was so delicious with tender lobster chunks (best I've had in years). At that point I was thinking of giving a rating of 5, but then my entre was disappointing. The sauce was good, but the rabbit was tough and tasteless. My Son enjoyed his scallopini. The salad, although not exceptional, was good. We also unexpectedly received some vegetables on the side with our entre. The dessert and coffee were also good and blessedly light because the portions here are huge. We were very stuffed by the time we left. I would definitely return if, for no other reason, the soup; but I would order a different entre - maybe a pasta.
