Had lunch here. Our waitress was super kind. We got a nice booth by the window and was served quite quickly. My friend ordered the henny wings and fries on the side. i had the lunch special half chicken with honey basted sauce and a side of ranch (a must). Tasty as always.Every time I visit NY from DC I have to hit this spot.I got the shrimp and Sticky wing combo. Also had a big drink called nut cracker something. My son had the onion bacon burger with fries. The food was on point, as always. My drink should've been a little stronger. Came here for a farewell celebration of a friend who is moving out of state. I still don't care for this particular location but I have to say, it's really good because it can accommodate a large crowd. The prices still remain affordable. Lunch was provided for those that I work with as a generous gift. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to try the food from this restaurant location. I ordered the steak and rice. The food was delicious and I loved how the steak was prepared. The fat to meat ratio was perfect. The rice was a little bland but still good. It was an all around terrible experience. I ordered a beef rib and BBQ chicken combo. The beef rib was hot around the edges and cold on the inside The BBQ quarter was tiny. Everything seemed as if from a microwave. The onion loaf was raw on the inside. We returned that back to the kitchen. We ordered one drink, somehow two came out. I have been to Dallas many times. I been to this location the most of all of them I been to. The only issue I've ever could say was a bad experience with any of them is that they don't have their own parking. They do not have their own parking. And you know parking in NY. The service is excellent, bathroom clean, the food is of great proportions. All the food is not the very best. However, those Sticky Wings are, in my opinion, the very best you will ever taste. Stopped by here on a whim after a day in the city. I didn't take pictures but still wanted to leave a review. The food is delicious. Everything from the ceasar salad to the honey basted chicken, the food is great and an amazing value for what you get. $17 and I got a half of a chicken, 6fried shrimps, a huge piece of cornbread, and fries. Service was where the place lost a point. We were seated by the manager, that was fine. He took our order and then disappeared. So I would not normally review a place like this because with most places that are a chain they can be hit or miss. I have come here numerous times and I honestly come for the Honey Sticky Wings. I usally do not get a cocktail because the frozen drinks are not my thing and they are huge and simply way too filling. However I decided to order a frozen drink and I am sooooooo disappointed. I get being environmental conscious however who said it was cool to use paper straws who wants a decomposing straw in their drink.......I will do my part to save the earth however it should not have to be at the sacrifice of a cocktail. Luckily I had Dunking Donut in the morning and had extra straws in my purse. Other than the paper straws....I give this place a struggling 3....its like an Applebee's or Friday's....nothing to write home about. I've eaten at this location pre-covid multiple times. As of lately I've been ordering delivery.  Love that i can order pina colada(without liquor but i add my own at home..yass). The pina coladas are always good.  My family and i mostly order the same thing from here.  Husband will get the wings or hot wings and the mac and cheese. The wings are really BIG. We always get the small order because the BIG tub is too much.  The mac is really creamy and also has chopped bacon which is so GOOD. It could use more cheese. You can def tell that they used processed cheese. If they added some real shredded cheese, that would top the cake.  I always get the Classic Combo, it comes with ribs, half chicken with honey and fried shrimp. I usually get the baked potato. The chicken is so good with the honey based sauce. Its the only way ill eat it. The ribs are okay to me but my kid absolutely loves them. The shrimps are really tasty and crispy.  This last time i also ordered the Mini Onion Loaf.  It was okay. I wouldnt order this again but it was good to try. Its super super thin pieces of onions. Reminds me of the shoe string onions people put on burgers.  I always order extra pieces of corn bread. This was a take-out order. The onion loaf was either old or overcooked (see pictures). It's a "Shame" that we have to go downtown to a Dallas BBq's to get decent food. Anything above 96th Street and the Bronx, NY is a risk. The Department of Health should really get involved. I received this order from the Dallas BBQ's in the Bronx, NY (Fordham Road). Please check your take-out orders before leaving the store. From my experience most restaurants will give bad or old food in takeout orders, knowing that the customer most likely won't return when they get home. I thank God for sites like Yelp and Trust Pilot. Consumers are losing money and wasting food because of very bad managed restaurants, and these restaurants should not get away with it. Yesterday i was feeling great and decided to go to BBQ with my family. I ate ribs, baked potato and cornbread and topped it off with a regular size Moscato mama with a shot. I ate all my food and only drank a half glass of my moscato mama, never touching the shot. As I was walking out the establishment I instantly started to not to feel well. As my family and I crossed the street from BBQ I suddenly fainted not once but twice and scrapped up my knee. When my family finally got me together, I had stomach cramps and wanted to puke. I looked over to see my mom on the verge of experiencing the same exact thing. She also had stomach cramps after drinking the same exact thing that I had. My sister and brother in law was absolutely fine because they didn't have what we did. I don't know whether it was the alcohol or the food. But I think it's something that BBQ's should look into. It's one thing to do heavy drinking and black out but that was not the case. I didn't drink enough of it to even get a buzz. I doubt I'll ever go back to that location because I can't trust that I won't experience that again. read more

To me, the other food is never really that great, but they do have some new menu items that I will likely try in the future. This time I tried the angry shrimp. Good choice , but nothing to rave about. Service is inconsistent. Sometimes it's great sometimes not so much. Was debating on a 3 or 4 star rating because changes are being made @ bbq. Something doesn't seem to be the same. Maybe they are changing recipes bcuz the wings are still good but taste differently and I remember years ago, the chilli was accompanied by cornbread not a bag of Doritos. I like this location; the restaurant is huge. The food was good, except for the steak that came with the dinner of the day. I asked for everything well done, and it came out pink and chewy; it really was a cheap cut of steak. I loved the pina coladas. The waitress was friendly, but extremely slow...
