But for a quick bite my mother and I decided to try it out. I ordered the salmon Caesar salad and my mother ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. I was trying to be the healthy eater and not fall in to temptation of fatty foods. Our waitress was super kind, but the food did take some time to arrive. Luckily we aren't those kind of customers and weren't hangry. My salad was a bit drenched in dressing which was my fault I forgot to ask to have the dressing on the side. While in NYC my cousin took me here as soon as I got in. It was late and I was surprised to know they were still open. I really enjoyed the service that was given during my visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The friend chicken was amazing and their ranch dressing was one of the best I've had. I usually don't eat fresh cut fries, but they were good and I wanted more. During my visit I wished I would have went back again, but I didn't. Will for sure return the next time. I came here last night for Big chicken wings and big Texas sized drink. When we walked in we were immediately seated last night. We had the best server - Khalil was awesome he went above and beyond for us and he assited us in the pranking of my brother. Thank you Khalil! We had an array of food we started with Crab Cakes and Shrimp combo the carb cakes were bite sized. Which is definitely not a cake. We then had the Henny, Stickey and Hot wings. They all were huge and I am still trying to figure out where they get such big chicken. We also had French fries and tostones with some mystery dipping sauce. As for beverages we had Moscato Mama it came with a shot of pineapple rum and a mini bottle of Moscato, virgin strawberry daiquiri for my underage brother and a Hulknotiq it was three frozen cocktails and a shot of hypnotic. Food was good. Service was slow as hell. We were a large group (50+), called ahead and they refused to do separate checks. Was told that we could do separate checks. We sat at the table 15 minutes with no water or anyone to take orders. They added 20+ people to one bill, added others not in our party and it took over an hour and a half to settle the bills. Staff told us at our table of 10 that they would not do a separate bill. Waitstaff was not helpful. After further discussion with waitstaff our party was able to get a bill for our table only. I used to go to Dallas BBQ's as a kid in high school (circa early 2000's). My girls and I thought we were balling! Ordering virgin pina coladas! Anyhow my last visit to Dallas BBQ's was a rude awakening. Either things have changed drastically or what I thought was good BBQ just wasn't. Where do I begin? The portions were smaller than I remember, like significantly smaller. The sauce was, for lack of a better word, generic? Our server was okay despite the place being busy. Our food came out rather quickly and given all I know after my last meal there I do not think that was a good thing. The drinks are still good and still big which is good. When it comes to real BBQ I expect a piece of white bread but when I end up with corn bread along side I am one very happy girl, this has always been the case at Dallas BBQ. We have passed this location several times on our way to and from the Bronx Zoo and finally decided to make the stop. First thing is, they do not have their own parking lot but they do offer valet parking I believe after 5. If you are lucky, there is also off street muni parking (2 hour max time). Upon entering the location I was not immediately wow'ed by the decor. It's hard to explain, but it wasn't horrible it just felt like it could use something to liven it up. Over all I would have given the location maybe a 3 out of 5. We were immediately greeted and seated by a host and hostess. Our waitress was over within two minutes and ready to take our drink and food order which was great. She was also very kind and attentive, we did not need to wait to ask for anything . The food came out about 15-20 minutes after we had ordered it. Fast service! I ordered the chicken and ribs combo. The chicken which was honey basted was absolutely amazing! Would definitely come back for the chicken. The ribs were only ok. This came with yellow rice (good) and corn bread (also good). My nephew had the chicken and waffles which was also very good! My biggest complaint although it didn't affect me as I never needed a refill was that they do not offer free refills on soft/fountain drinks. I find it hard to come by locations these days that don't offer that. But I did get the large drink, which is pretty large. So there is that. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I was in the area this would definitely be a place I would be ok stopping by to eat at! read more

On Saturday December 30 my wife and l after visiting my mother-in law in Williamsburg Brooklyn decided to eat at the Dallas BBQ located at 1265 Third ave. We live in the Hudson Valley and thought since we had visited this eatery many times before at different locations that we would end the year enjoying a great meal. As always this location was filled to the brim with people appearing to be enjoying their meals. We were escorted to our seats and introduced to our waiter who was very cordial. We ordered water with lemon and as a starter, vegetable Tempura. We then ordered our main course which consisted of half a chicken with french fries and cornbread for me and a quarter chicken, baked potato and cornbread for my lovely wife. A minute into the meal l took a bite of my dark meat chicken and to my surprise it tasted strange. The chicken had a vinegar after taste. l shook it off as the problem being me. l even very gently complained to my server of the taste and he placated me with another piece of chicken which l took home in a take home container. We finished and graciously thanked our server and tipped him 20%. We then drove our customary 60 miles to our home in Chester new York. When we arrived home l felt and noticed that my stomach was bloated. And for the rest of the night l had very little sleep because of my constant having to run to the bathroom to relieve myself of the diarrhea and painful stomach cramps. In closing my wife and l enjoyed the memories past of eating at a Dallas BBQ. I just got food from Grubhub. The delivery portion was good. However the brisket sandwich was nasty and salty. My husband could not eat it. My ribs were small and not meaty. I thought maybe cat ribs that's how thin and not meaty they were. Sadly I won't eat from here ever again. The health department might want to check out that kitchen. read more

I placed my order online and I'm not sure how the order was sent to the wrong location (Livingston - Brooklyn) but I called the BK location and let them know the situation and the manager Omar advised to go into the Fordham location and have the Manager Mariano call him. The menu has expanded a lot and the company is even trying to use environmentally friendly straws. The franchise has expanded since then all the way to the bx. This location is right off the degan highway and Fordham road. And from time to time I will stop by for an early lunch as I did today. Had the apple martini with extra shot in addition to the sticky tenders and caesar salad. The restaurant is in a convenient location in this side of the Bx. And it does get loud as I believe this was a club years ago. Thehave all the favorite including the drinks which think they put a cap on when ordering. Good morning I had an unpleasant customer service at this location close to my residence two subway stops away at 8:30PM Saturday July 8 evening. I arrived alone and was seated in far left near the window. I could have been missed had I not waved or said anything. It wasn't hardly packed in this restaurant to be waited nearly 15 minutes. I ordered a grilled salmon fillet and a baked potato and a regular 8 oz ginger ale with my server Carmen. I received water and ginger ale within 5 minutes yet I waited nearly 30 minutes for my grilled salmon which was burned underneath. I asked Carmen for a manager since my order took longer than expected and she informed me your order is coming up in a few minutes papi in a hurriedly way to avoid me leaving and complaining. She could have explained the salmon would have take longer to cook or broil upon ordering to decide if I could still order this or another meal. Normally I order salmon fillet from Upper Manhattan Washington Heights W165th location or salmon protein bowl from Lower Manhattan Chelsea W23rd location previously I would have received it faster and it was cooked to perfection. Service with a smile Now I have to leave my Bronx residence to travel back to Manhattan or a different borough to receive better and faster service. I will not visit this Bronx Fordham Road location until there is a reorganization of new management.
