I just came from Yum Bros food truck @Shearwood Station, and the smell of the food cooking was definitely delicious, and I ordered chicken BBQ rice bowl. I have to say it was delicious and very yummy home cooking or going to the aunts house for dinner or BBQ. The server took my order, and in 8 minutes, I had my food. It was a nice day outside to have lunch or dinner, and the ambiance was just great.

The best Filipino food I've ever had! The food is so yummy and the service is excellent. The owners and their employees are so nice and professional. I would literally drive to wherever they are just to get my Filipino food fix!

I was visiting harbor Island park to check out the beach and I am so glad to stumbled upon this new food truck in town! I believe it was their soft opening first time I tried their food. It was good I keep coming back (it is a bit of a drive from my work, but totally worth it!). The staff at Yumbro are attentive and friendly. They provide helpful recommendations and are knowledgeable about the dishes, ingredients, and flavors. the menu offers a diverse selection of Asian-inspired dishes, combining flavors and ingredients from various Asian cuisines. There are options for vegetarians as well, making it inclusive for all. The skewers rice bowls were very well marinated pork, and chicken (chef's kiss to this). The kawali loaded fries comes with a unique orange sauce and mouthwatering combination. Dishes were beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The vibrant colors and thoughtful plating added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Considering the quality of the food, and service, the prices were very reasonable. The portions were very generous. the overall experience justified the cost.

Way too overpriced for what you get and my order of corn was cold and meh. Definitely did not look or taste fresh.

I recently stopped by Karenderya in Nyack looking for some good Asian comfort food, and it definitely hit the spot. Known for delicious, made-from-scratch dishes, they were flavorful, fresh, and clearly cooked with care. The menu offers a wonderful introduction to Filipino cuisine, with hearty, satisfying dishes that feel comforting, taste scrumptious, and speaking for myself - as I rarely go to Filipino eateries due to my location, unique. The cashier/waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit. While the atmosphere is fairly simple and not really the reason to come here, the focus is clearly on the food, and that's where Karenderya shines. This is an excellent option for takeout, and many of the dishes would be perfect to bring to a potluck or family gathering. Despite Nyack's often challenging parking situation, I found parking easy enough nearby, which was a pleasant surprise. Service can be slow when crowded, be forwarned. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Filipino-inspired food and don't need a fancy dining room, Karenderya is absolutely worth a visit.

Tried the kare kare which was creamy, had a good peanuty flavor (though not too strong/personal pref would have been an even stronger peanut flavor), and the oxtail was nice & soft. Also loved the adobe pork belly bowl & the rec to switch out the boiled egg for a fried one was on point. In comparison, the pancit was ok but didn't really stand out/not my favorite (perhaps a bit mild in taste compared to the other dishes. Our friend was allergic to jackfruit so they put it on the side for the halo halo which was nice of them. Good service! Would definitely come back :)

This is a hidden gem for good and affordable Filipino food…read more Though it might look like a plain little restaurant, when you walk in, you are greeted by such friendly people who are always so helpful and sweet when you have questions, especially if you don't know what certain dishes are. The restaurant is cantina style so you order what you want and they pack it for you. I go there specifically for their "breakfast all day" deal, which includes garlic fried rice, 2 eggs, and your choice of protein/dish, along with a bottle of water for - guess how much?! - $11 cash or you could pay with a credit card with the additional 3% credit card fee. But you get sooooo much food! I couldn't finish everything, so I had to take the rest home. I usually get the longsilog, which is a sweet and savory sausage. Soooo good! When I went this time, I decided to try their tapsilog (marinated beef which is also sweet and savory) and that was delicious, too. My mouth is watering thinking about the meal I had there. Next time, I do also want to try the daingsilog, which is the dried fish. I love Filipino dried fish but not the fish afterwards when I cook it at home, so this is a good place to get this if you want it. If you love Filipino food or want to try Filipino food, this is definitely the place. Again, super sweet people who work there and all their customers are super nice, too. This is the place that everyone seems to stop by for a quick and filling and delicious meal either to take home or eat there. It got pretty busy after I sat down to eat. There are other Filipino restaurants in Bergenfield but I personally like this place because it's simple, authentic, home-cooked food, and it's cantina style, so it's not overpriced. There are sit down Filipino restaurants but they are more expensive with different but they do have more extensive menus. So, it's up to you what kind of dining experience you want. Things to know before you go: -They do have other proteins/dishes other than what is on the menu, so definitely ask if they have anything else they would recommend. -Don't forget to get some vinegar from the big jug to dip your protein in. Elevates the umami of your food! They have condiment cups at the counter for you to get your vinegar to eat there or to take home. -When you order, they simply give you the food and you have to grab your own utensils and napkins which are at the counter. -I also got some Shanghai lumpia, too, and they are 50 cents each. Theirs are really good! -They also have bubble tea. -Seating is limited, so if you are a big group, it might not be possible for everyone to sit, so plan accordingly. Maybe get it to go and eat at someone's house or the park?

It was our first time trying Filipino food and wasn't sure what to order. The owner/chef was so sweet and gave us recommendations. We tried the tapsilog which came with rice and the smoked fish with noodles and veggies. She also recommended we take the vinegar sauce on the side and we really enjoyed that too! There are a few tables here but mostly a quick lunch or takeout restaurant. We will be back to try other dishes soon!

We also had the Bicol Express, which was spicy and simple. There is plenty of street parking plus extra parking in the back. I also like that they sell small grocery items inside the restaurant. The service is not as friendly as I remember from the Elmwood Park days, but the food still makes up for it. I'll always stay loyal to Mama Fina's. It is very casual. - Pork Sisig (5/5): some of the best Sisig I've had. The pork belly is SO crispy even after we were almost done eating! The sauce wasn't too overpowering and heavy. Loved the fresh zing of the red onions. The spicy one is the way to go. - Garlic Fried Rice (4.5/5): I could eat this on its own. So good. The rice was a bit mushy but otherwise great taste - Kare-kare (4/5): a soupier variation of the peanut based sauce I've tried. The oxtail chunks were tender, but all sliced really thin and very few pieces of each. Also lacking a bit in the green beans and okra- flavor was good though. I like the Sisig the best. Only a bit bummed by the high price and small portion sizes
