Forget Shake Shack and Five Guys - this is the burger spot to go to! Finally got to try it - ordered my food online and went to pick it up. It was ready when I arrived (even though I was a little early) and nice and hot. It was still hot when I got home. Top three burger joints ever and it's not 3... My wife and I are extremely pleased every time we revisit. Patties are always juicy and fresh, vegetable toppings crispy and well portioned, wide variety of cheeses and even vegetarian options. Fries are some of the best I've ever had, and take my word for it, try the yucca fries too. Get the jalapeño burger if you want the heat, the brunch burger if you're hungover. I have driven passed this restaurant so many times on McLean Ave in Yonkers, but I never knew it existed... that is, until I had a craving for fries. A simple Google search led me to this location and I am happy with the result. Overall, the food here is reminiscent of Smashburger, with a Latin twist. The restaurant itself is pretty small and they do have a few tables inside and on the sidewalk for diners to eat at. When you walk in, there is a counter and a menu that shows all of the available options. You can even build a burger based off of the different ingredient combinations that they have. I also loved that they had different options for fries, such as regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and truffle fries. I decided to keep things simple and just order from the menu. Once you finish placing your order at the counter, the server behind the counter brings the food to your table when it is ready. I ordered a Passionfruit juice. The juice itself comes in a plastic bottle. The juice itself is pretty simple and not overly sweet. The size of the bottle was more than enough for one person. I also ordered a large size sweet potato fries. The large size is definitely plenty for two people to share. The sweet potato fries were pretty standard and met my expectations. Now for the stars of the show: the burgers. My girlfriend ordered a Jalapeño Burger and I ordered the Shroom Burger. The Jalapeño Burger comes with a beef patty, jalapeños, red cabbage, onions, melted pepper Jack cheese and a signature Cocina sauce. The sauce was actually pretty good and is sweet to balance out the other ingredients. The only thing that I wish was different with the burger is that it would have been nice to cut down on the amount of red cabbage and have more jalapeños added in. There were only two small jalapeño slices in the burger that were stacked on top of each other in the middle of the burger. It would have been nice to have a bit of jalapeños in every bite of the burger. Overall, the burger was pretty decent. My favorite of the two burgers was definitely the Shroom Burger. The Shroom Burger comes with a beef patty, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and blue cheese. This burger came loaded with onions, which I did not mind, because it gave the burger a nice touch. Although the burger was flavorful, the burger did drip with grease every time I took a bite. Now, I do like a juicy burger, but there was a bit of a puddle of oil that I left in the wrapper once I finished eating it. If the burger was less oily, I would have enjoyed it more, but overall, it was a good burger. All in all, I enjoyed Cocina Burger Shop. This is a restaurant that I will come back to whenever I have a craving for burgers or fries and it is a great alternative to going to Smashburger, in my opinion. Next time, I will create my own burger and will have to report on that experience. read more

So I was starving at home and trying to figure out what I wanted to eat I wanted to try some that was really good I had decent reviews all the way around the Google and TripAdvisor I found this restaurant here on boy was I not disappointed. The chicken and turkey burgers here are something to die for really fresh really well made really well seasoned all the ingredients tasted fresh. The Yuca fries or something different they are really good here really soft on the inside nice crust on the outside not like any you can fry that I've ever seen before and they have various different sauces here that are also very very delicious. This is definitely a 5 out of 5 restaurant and every time I've ordered here I've never been disappointed. P.S. the dessert is pretty good but it's very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth you're definitely covered if you're not too much in the sweets it's still a really good dessert but you may not like it. read more

We stopped here from CT while on our way to New Jersey. We were looking for a quick stop but good food and unfortunately this place came up short. The spicy chicken sandwich was okay- it was messy and fell apart. The chicken itself was tasty and flavorful but there was way too much sauce and "garnish" on it that it became soggy and kind of gross. Now, for a burger shop, I was expecting the burgers to be incredible but nope- fairly average- my kids said they were a little better than McDonald's... that's not good when you aren't paying McDonald's prices. My husband added a hot dog after his burger because he was still hungry and he did say that was tasty. Pass on the yuca fries- they don't taste like fresh yuca and we're not worth a single calorie. The egg was fried well, so no runny bits for those who like runny bits, but the burger was juicy with two thick slices of bacon. The small cheese fries felt like a large. The sauce was regular nacho cheese sauce yo y would get at the movies, but it satisfied a craving. The sweet potato fries were crunchy with just the right amount of salt. We shared a strawberry milkshake which tasted like blended up strawberry nesquick and ice cream. There's a grainy after taste. Do not get the strawberry milkshake.
