Super straight-forward and old school - just my type of bakery. The atomic cake is to die for. If you arrive later in the day, it's likely the cake slices are sold out and you are left with the choices of an 8" or 9" atomic cake. There were times in which I was tempted to buy a whole cake but for the sake of my waistline, I resisted... In those circumstances, I would venture out and try some of their other cake slices. We have tried the chocolate mousse, strawberry buttercream, salted caramel chocolate, and funfetti cake. They are very moist and flavorful cake but our favorite is still the atomic cake. There was a block club Chicago article about a society of bakers that originally put this place on my radar sounded like something from a Wes Anderson movie. Came in during afternoon. I constantly pass this bakery when I'm flying out of Midway Airport and would always see a lot of people going in and out so I decided to finally check it out. Upon entering you see everything on display but depending on how crowded it is, some items are more visible than others. Luckily we were able to get a good view of things to decide what we wanted. You take a number and wait for your number to be called. There are a lot of staff working and things move quickly so you aren't waiting long before your number is called. My sister and I got a few different items to try. We got cannoli, doughnut holes, a cinnamon roll, and a strawberry tart. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Our favorites were the cinnamon roll and cannoli. The cinnamon roll was so soft and had just the right amount of cinnamon and icing. The cannoli was perfect! The filling was not overly sweet and the shell was flaky with the right amount of crispness. I now understand why this place is always busy. I will definitely be returning for more treats. read more

Visited over the weekend, I pre-ordered a king cake online for a Saturday morning pickup. Arrived about 10 am, and this place was popping. There was a line out the door. After securing parking (which was a bit hard). I was able to walk into the pre purchase section and pick up my order. In and out in under 10 minutes. The king cake itself was delicious. Yum, Weber's Bakery is tasty! After a not-so-great experience at another local bakery, I'm so glad we were able to check out Weber's! This bakery offers cakes, freshly-baked breads, donuts, kolackies, poundcakes, and seasonal items. Patrons were leaving and stating that they have run out of pretty much everything, giving a heads up to those about to walk in. We still decided to take a chance! We were able to get: +a box of mini oatmeal raisin cookies - not too sweet, these were great with a cup of coffee or tea +a box of mini breads - I LOVED these breads - they were pillowy soft, and great with your favorite spread or on its own! +a German chocolate brownie - wasn't really a fan of this, as it was super grainy and had a weird taste/texture +a lemon square - this was like a thick bar of cream cheese with a shortbread crust, topped generously with lemon curd - pretty addicting! Service was welcoming and efficient - the line kept on moving, and people were just going in and out! The staff here have eagle eyes, and they make sure they tend to anyone who hasn't been helped.
