Skip the pizza and go for the sandwiches. They basically use a pizza dough as the sandwich and boy, was it lovely. I wonder why more people don't do it. I would describe it as an open faced calzone. I devoured mine (leave no man behind!!) and it was good until the last bite. I had the shamrock, which included chicken, pesto, tomato, mozzarella, romaine tossed with creamy garlic. The lettuce was refreshingly crunchy and in my mind, made the sandwich. Without it, the sandwich might be a bit too heavy. I also stole a cube of steak from my friend's walk the plank sandwich -- the meat was well seasoned and tender. The pizza, wonder what happened there. The slices were limp and flopped around like a fish on its last legs (or is that fins?). If they used the same dough for the sandwiches as the crust, it would have been much better. We visited in January 2014 and were pleasantly surprised. My wife and I split a yummy salad named after Block Island that featured beets, corn and a citrus vinaigrette. The pizza we ordered was also great, is was a Thai-style pizza with a peanut sauce. I ordered takeout and the owner was kind enough to wish my Seahawks luck even though they just beat the Niners that afternoon. Classy place all around, and great for kids. read more

I can say this is one of the best places in town, as i pend around $10 here once a week or more for lunch. Pizza is what they sell at waypoint, but if you want more, go for a between the sheets. A pizza dough with different toppings a a salad like mix, sure to fill you up and leave you satisfied. They make good pizza and have a great family friendly atmosphere. In terms of service, atmosphere, and cleanliness, I'd give Waypoint 4 stars. Very kid friendly, great location. They also serve beer which can be a saving grace for parents. But in terms of pizza, this has got to be the worst pizza I've ever had. Sauce can make or break a slice and theirs is utterly flavorless. I love thin crust pizza, but Waypoint's is either too thin or undercooked. Even with no toppings, pick up a slice of Waypoint pizza and watch it flop over in your hand like a wet paper towel. This is with a slice that is only 3" off the diameter of a whole pizza! If you ordered any toppings, this is where you watch all your toppings slide off the end. Thin crust pizza sliced so small should not require the use of a knife and fork. Maybe the sandwiches are better. read more

Ditto on what my yelper Connie said about the pasta. The shrimp penne was about as exciting as a wet paper towel. And tasted like it, too. We were in the mood for something light, and ordered two salads and shared a pasta. They didn't even have enough mixed greens to make the salads that we ordered, so we had to order a spinach salad. Salads came, and, they were simply OK......filled my belleh and......that's it. Like the rating says......A-OK. Great salads and a wonderful thin crust soft doughy pizza. The staff is young and always nice. They will also have a stamp card so that after 12 pizzas you receive a small pizza free. My daughter loves this place which is why we frequent it so much. Owners are always in the store which is nice and they are super friendly as well. They also have soft serve ice cream. My only suggestion would be to have a better selection of soups- mushroom and chicken seems to be the only kind they have and also seems as though it's a powder soup and not fresh . Hunger set in as the boy and I explored the Ark Row neighborhood and we found ourselves drawn in from the street. I immediately felt transported to another city based on the decor - east coast? Definitely not CA! No surfer 'tudes here - just good food and fun. After ordering at the counter, they give you a little boat toy that acts as your "number". Cute. Oddly, when our pizza showed up, it wasn't *quite* what I'd ordered... I wanted the gourmet sausage, with the olives and white onion relegated to one half (as some parties present object to such toppings). Well, what arrived had sausage, olives, and GREEN onions all over! Whoops. Oh well, we dug in anyway, and it was great! A short time later, the owner (I think) walked over and said, "we realized we brought you the wrong pizza. are you okay with it? do you want a different one?" So nice that they acknowledged their screw up! While i don't love that they mixed up our order, I do love that they figured it out and asked if we wanted something else. There were a bunch of tasty sounding menu items ("between the sheets", anyone?), so we'll be back! read more

As a native New Yorker, this is the closest I've had to a true NY slice anywhere outside of the tri-state. The combination of honey and beer in the dough is an excellent touch, creating a near perfect crust. Couple that with the variety of fresh toppings and you have the makings of an excellent pizza. I never go here even though it's minutes from my house because the service is always so horrible. But tonight was a new low. My daughter had some friends over so we ordered (online) a large cheese pizza and a salad for them to be picked up. We got there after the stated time and the guy just ignored us. There was a trick or treating event downtown so they had a rush. But then the online ordering system should have reflected that. Or they should have staffed up if they knew it would be busy. We already paid and just literally needed to pick up the food. The guy was beyond rude and just ignored us because he said he had to get the orders into the computer. So he proceeds to very slowly punch in the order on his notepad and refuses to answer any of our questions. There's now a line of people waiting to pay and pick up their food and he's just purposely taking his time entering this one order into the computer. I finally flag down another guy (the only other waiter/non kitchen staff) and ask him to help. He goes in the back and comes back in less than a minute with our food. How hard was that? This just shows you what happens when there's no competition and no incentive to even be nice to paying customers. And people wonder why downtown Tiburon is always so dead (except when there are special events). I'd rather drive out of town if I know the food and service are going to be good! read more

Where am I!? Nantucket!? Love the decor. Can I move in? I'm obsessed with everything related to boats and I felt like I was back on the East Coast. So cute and quaint, I was so busy looking on the walls and picking out things I wanted in my apartment that I don't quite remember what I ordered. What I do know is that it was the perfect place to stop after taking a little walk along the shore and a visit to Blackie's Pasture. So I will say this is one of my favorite places in Tiburon. Working in Tiburon can be expensive. So this low price of these pies; pulls this place to the top of my list. Also the Thai Chicken is delicious, and worth a try at least once. I would recommend the salads, surprisingly tasty. I have yet to try the pasta, and do not think I will. A Pizza & Salad place is enough for me in Tiburon A few things to watch for: ~ Toppings can be sparse; however it has only happened a few times. (I easily forgive) ~The decor could possibly kill even the hungriest of appetites, I strongly recommend carry out! The little seasoning/ color boats; take it to the next level. ~ There seems to be two different teams that work here; the Boys and the Girls. Service wise the boys win. I always get some wired attitude from one of the blonde's working at the counter. Maybe it's just me, but the boys are always friendly and kind. Waypoint offers some of the best pizza in Marin, but the service is often extremely slow. It can take twenty minutes before your order is taken, and during my last visit I received the wrong salad. Additionally, there is very limited parking particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. However, the excellent pizza and salads combined with the beautiful Tiburon location make Waypoint Pizza a worthwhile visit. read more

The pizza looked alright and apparently it's pretty popular. The pasta with meatballs I ordered was not the best. The meatballs tasted like breakfast sausage. The lady server, with dark short hair, was so rude. Sure it was our first time there and didn't know we had to order at the register. We tried to get the server's attention and and caught her twice and twice she gives us a "I see ya, but not gonna help you out" look. We finally call out to her and she yells that we order at the counter. Ohhh! We realized how it worked. After that the server was completely rude! Without looking at us or asking if we still needed the menu, she grabbed it super quickly, like she was irritated. We had done nothing to her but acted like new customers. Really good pizza, great service too. The pizza crust was light and flaky, flavorful (as opposed to just salty), and the toppings and meats were excellent. Short wait on a weeknight, they were highly accommodating. Tiburon is a bit off the beaten path for me, but this worth the stop. Looks like they have an ok wine selection too, although I did not imbibe. I'm an east-coaster, and while this was not authentic NY/NJ pizza, I would still describe it as excellent - probably closer to flatbread or whatever. Always loved it. Been a faithful fan for 8 years. Awful experience tonight. 1 hour 45 for or delivery with 4 calls unanswered or hung up or eternal hold from kids who clearly did't care. We came in on a Sunday. There were not a lot of customers in the restaurant. They do take out as well. There was only one person in the kitchen. So it took a bit of time. Anyway, had their garlic bread which was actually pretty good. They give you three chunks of sliced baguette with garlic and Parmesan on top. My husband really enjoyed his BBQ chicken pizza. I had the " between the sheets shrimp". Both pizzas seem to have been sitting a bit as crusts were only lukewarm. Thats a shame but no fault of the cook. The server just needs to be a bit more attentive. My " shrimp pizza " was just OK. Not bad not fantastic. The service was fine. Not memorable but fine. read more

Love this place! The new owners are wonderful people and the food has definitely gotten better since they bought the place. I like the table service as opposed to the old way of ordering at the counter. The beer and wine selection is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Left Waypoint Pizza tonight very disappointed. Came in with a party of 6...ordered dough sticks and garlic bread as appetizers and 1pizza, 1 salad and 3 Between the Sheets "sandwiches". It took an hour to get the appetizers and another another 40 minutes to get the food. It took us two hours to have this simple meal. They were rude when we asked about the order and made no apologies for the long wait for food. The food was good but not worth the wait and rudeness! Worst pizza ever. We had the grilled veggie pizza but the veggies weren't grilled at all. The taste was extremely bland. We were forced to add salt, pepper and chilli flakes just to make it edible. I don't see myself coming here again or recommending this place to anyone vegetarian. read more

Quite a disappointing experience overall. We definitely won't be returning. The food was okay- nothing special, but good. The pizza reminded me of Whole Foods pizza. If this place was cheaper, it might be worthwhile. However, it's not worth the money. We paid $145 for 3 tiny pizzas, 2 simple plates of pasta and a couple of drinks. Their "root beer float" as charged on the receipt was $4.95, but it was just a bottle of IBC root beer. Ridiculous. On top of that, the food all came out about 5-10 minutes apart, so we were stuck eating separately, or eat cold food if we wanted to be polite and wait. The server was nice enough, but didn't seem to know the menu very well and we still don't know if we really even got charged correctly. Long story short; $145 could've gone a lot further elsewhere. Unbelieve experience this evening at Waypoint. They need someone to come in and teach basic customer service skills to their employees. One example -- I had been waiting in line 5-10 minutes and noticed a youngster had been waiting at a table to an order for his family. He approached the counter and asked if his family could please place their order. The cashier replied "yeah sure, as soon as I clean up some of these dirty tables in here." Please take better care of your diners -- and treat the young with the same respect that you'd treat your elders. read more

Place was empty yet there was at least 5 people behind the register (owners/management included). 30 minutes later, after asking twice about my "missing" pizza, I was handed my box of cold soggy pizza to go (since we all know waiting 30 minutes for food with toddlers is NOT easy!) I asked the girl (she looked like a teenager) at the register to break it down to me (since i was SHOCKED at the most expensive pizza ever) and she pointed out that it was a pizza with 6 toppings therefore that's how much it is... and i said "1/2 of it just has mushroom" and she just gave a dirty look. Anyway, i paid and left. When i got in the car my boss called and asked why she was overcharged and the girl said that charging full price for toppings is their policy even if it is in half of the pizza. Then my boss asked her "are you telling me that i should have ordered A FULL GOURMET SAUSAGE for $25 instead of taking an ingredient off and having half of the pizza with one topic and paying $32?" the girl was quiet for a second and said "yes"... at this point my boss and i had nothing else to say and said "Thank you" and hung up!... Not going there anymore Their delivery service is more than HORRIBLE... it always takes more than an hour ... once i called an hour before i got home and we still waited 45 mins and i had to call three times, they always said "it's going out right now"!!!!!! Being a Tiburon Local, i end up eating here on average, twice a month, or twice a week when i have nothing to do.The environment: a relatively laid back [for tiburon] families with kids,seventh graders and sailor/outdoorsy folks, all Tiburon Natives, the place is charming with its sailing theme and beachy furniture yet slightly cramped. The Pizzas are somewhat over priced, the vineyard salad is mediocre, do yourself a favor and order a BETWEEN THE SHEETS [walk the flank and shamrock are my favs].
