Wow, simply, wow... in a bad way. Came here on a beautiful Sat as they were just opening. My family and I sit to an empty restaurant. We place our order with a nice guy... then nothing... for over an hour. The first 45 mins, we continued to be the only ones in the restaurant. The next 15 - 20 minutes others coming and eventually get served BEFORE us. Seems they completely forgot about our order... the ones highly visible as the only customers in the restaurant! In the end, 4 other groups our size or larger were served their food before we got ours. The worst part, the pizza was mediocre at best. My sis ordered the shrimp salad, shrimp were not cleaned well and all of them had dirty gritty veins exposed. Staff was nice and apologetic but ultimately incompetent. Avoid this place. read more

I recently moved to Tiburon and don't know the restaurants and bars here yet. I was off work today and decided to swing into downtown and see if I could find a decent lunch place. I hit the jackpot with Waypoint. The food and serbice both were outstanding. You must try one of their "between the sheets" pizza sandwiches. They are delicious and filling. Pizza was mediocre. Service was just okay. Dough sticks were burnt and bland, cold marinara sauce. Decor was nice but food needs to improve.

Have not been a fan of changes made by new management but still have come back now and then because the kids wanted to. Another terrible experience tonight though. Friendly waiter who is usually here (tall thin guy) replaced by surly waiter who really didn't want to be there. Service took forever even though we were the only ones there when we arrived. Food was delicious without a doubt, but the wait killed me! I was visiting a friend and decided to come here after a hike at Mount Tam (amazing!), so we were literally starving. Ordered a small bbq chicken pizza and a coke. My friend ordered a pesto pasta dish and a beer. We waited, and waited, despite the fact there were only 3 other groups eating there. Perhaps they were understaffed, but they did not even come and tell us that our food was on our way. So it was a waiting game--for about 45 or close to an hour. Summation: the meal was so underwhelming, and we ate in silence bombarded by loud conversation from the staff So disappointed in this place, it looked so charming when we walked in the door; realizing now that I should have read more of the reviews. We ordered 2 walk the flank 'between the sheets' sandwiches. Cute idea of making a sandwich with pizza dough, and it sounded incredibly appetizing. However, after waiting for what seemed like forever, it was a big disgusting let down. It was basically an iceberg salad with HUGE chunks of inedible steak on top with some garlic sauce. I'm usually picky about service, and I try to give a few chances for bad service to recover, but it was almost too frustrating to watch. The counter waitress was nice enough, at least she subdued her condescension towards me. The kicker is that she was playing with her hair: clipping it up and down repeatedly, and then without washing her hands served food, REPEATEDLY. Gross. Also if you're wondering why your delivery is taking so long, the entire staff congregates in the kitchen/ordering area chatting loudly away, with ready to go food. read more

This is the worst pizza I ever ate. We ordered a veggie and a pepperoni pizza to take out, the staff were not friendly at all. When I got home, the pizzas were not fully cooked, tasteless especially the veggie one. The were only few slices of pepperoni on the other one. We were in a rush to go to the symphony, so did not have time to take it back. We threw away ¾ of each one of them. Will never go back again even we live close. read more

When arriving to Tiburon hungry I was expecting to find nothing but over-priced, touristy, nothing special eateries.. I'm glad I was wrong. Their menu was pretty diverse for a pizza place with creative choices at very reasonable prices, considering the location. For salads you have the option of ordering a half $4, full $7, and family $13. We had the transpac (I think?) and it was VERY good. Great food, ambiance and location. Been here a couple of times and my friends and I always like it. The Walk the Flank (flank steak and salad) sandwich and Thai Chicken sandwich are very tasty, with generous portions. You won't leave hungry but the food is heathy so you won't feel bloated either. I want to start by saying the service here is fine. The food is ok but often undercooked (mostly raw chicken on a pizza once, ew) but the reason I will never, ever patronize Waypoint pizza again is the new owner. I don't know them or when they took over, what I do know is that they cut the pay of their employees drastically, and raised the price of pizza. I think that's incredibly scummy, especially as someone who works in the service industry. I think some servers have already quit over it. I know people who have been eating at Waypoint for years but refuse to go now because they are so disgusted by the treatment of the workers. Local businesses should invest in the community, not exploit it, and I am deeply disappointed that Waypoint has gone the direction it has. I hope the owners rethink their strategy. read more

This place is one of the cheaper places to eat in downtown Tiburon. It's a cute place and popular with families. The location is walking distance to the Ferry Terminal, movie theatre, and popular shops/cafes along Main Street. We always order the "Between the sheets" (pizza style sandwich). We love the "Walk the Flank" sandwich which costs less than $10. The "Walk the Flank" is an open face sandwich with flank steak, garlic, red onions, tomatoes, cheese, romaine lettuce, and creamy garlic sauce. It's delicious!! read more

I enjoyed it, I rode the Angel Island ferry and was wary of tourist trappings. I was surprised at the great quality of the Gourmet Sausage. Not salty and not greasy at all. I am a big eater. I ate a large and was not even thirsty afterwards. You know how you eat a Round Table you get thirsty from the incredible amount of salt. No with this one. No as much fat as you would think from the sausage. Thanks! read more

Nothing to write home about. The pizza is well basic, and honestly is highly priced for what you get. Additionally don't buy the coffee, I'm not really sure what we got but it was definitely not coffee and was only tasted and quickly dismissed. Ran the tiburon bike trail here. It was a gorgeous day so we grabbed slices to-go and sat on the grass nearby overlooking the water. I wasn't expect much but this pizza wowed me. Might be the best I've had in Marin. A crispy crust and choose any toppings you like for the slices. Will be back! read more

I just came back from a business trip and was happy to be home. To celebrate, I thought I would order a pizza delivered... Living in Tiburon for 8 months, we have tried every other place that delivers, so it was Waypoint's turn to wow. And wow it did. The delivery guy was super nice. The menu looked fantastic. The pizza LOOKED good when we opened the box. That's where the good points ended. Trying to get it on a plate required more than a knife... The slices were incredibly wet and soggy, but I still felt hopeful- until I took a bite... RAW DOUGH.... And what IS that cheese???? It's NOT right! That's NOT mozzarella! The toppings were plentiful I must say, but the RAW dough and the strange mushy cheese was disastrous... Why US??? What did we do to get such a gross pizza??? One gross pizza loses a customer... One negative review on Yelp--- well-- Anyhow-- I had no dinner... the pizza is in the garbage. :-( read more

Again only reviewing the negative. Appears kid friendly and catering to parents. In reality far different I understand its touristy and I don't exactly look local. Sure you don't have fountain drinks. And you don't like making pizza by the slice as priced on your menu. I get its just you running the floor and you've possibly had someone bail on a shift for you Saturday morning. But your passive aggressive eye rolling isn't helping when I ask for a fork for a kid to feed himself. Is it so unorthodox an ask? Surely you've had someone ask for a fork and you realize you're in the restaurant biz. Maybe next time you can save me the fear of eating something nasty in my meal by just saying you don't serve my kind here you know you have that right to deny service right? This place has good location and the staff was friendly. However they were not very busy and still served us slowly. My aunt got her salad first, then we got our mini pizzas a good ten or more minutes later. Then we had to remind them that we had garlic bread. Oddest garlic bread ever but after reminding them we had it we got it about 5 more minutes after the pizza. read more

Pizza is worse then frozen pies from the freezer section of your local convenient store. Undercooked, soggy, no flavor and looks terrible. The sauce is flavorless. The pizza oven must be underpowered because the crust was not cooked. The garlic bread is a travesty it comes in pizza dough form with garlic powder and unheated cheese sprinkled on top. read more

Unfortunately, that crust was part of a tiny, almost sauce-less pizza that was so insubstantial it should have been an appetizer instead of an entree that cost nearly $20 and took 45 minutes to arrive. Oh, and the beer: The Anchor Steam was tapped out at noon on a Saturday -- seems like that should have been replaced at the end of Friday's shift or the start of Saturday's. My friends and I came here in the afternoon after a wedding ceremony. We wanted to grab some food in the area before heading back to San Francisco. This place is super casual with a beach surfer vibe, order/pay at the counter. Their specialty is the pizza in the blanket menu - it's a very interesting concept with a personal pizza folded in half and eaten like a sandwich. Looks a little messy and difficult to eat but my friends seem to enjoy their pizzas in a blanket! I wasn't feeling pizza at the moment so I got a mixed greens salad with grilled spicy shrimp instead. The salad was great - very refreshing and I loved the spicy kick from the shrimp was also very tasty. read more

Stopped by for dinner after returning from Angel Island, on the Tiburon Ferry. Small place, luckily one table was available. Sailing themed inside with a few picnic table and booths for dining in. No one really greeted us when we came in, so we walked to the counter to order. Briefly looked at the menu before a staff member asked if he could take our order. My friend asked if they had deep dish, which drew a puzzled look from the staff. So thin crust it was. Ordered one vegetarian pizza and one pepperoni pizza. Served in decent time, crust was light and flakey. Cheese however was hard to spot on my pepperoni. And a little on the dry side for my taste. Not the worst, not the best...middle of the road pizza in a fun sailing inspired space. Might go back for a slice if I need pizza in a pinch, most likely not for dinner. i love to get 'between the sheets'. shrimp pesto to be exact. pull up a fork and eat the tomatoes and some of the greens before you fold it in half and stuff every delicious bite in to your mouth. the pizza is outstanding too. ... and great for a lunch break beer if you have the unfortunate disposition of working in tiburon. read more

When I went to college this was the spot i missed!! I missed the smell, the atmosphere and the food!!! Family owned and high school sailors from SFYC staff it, great local spot with really nice people coming and going. The Shamrock is my favorite.. yum.. any of the between the sheets really!
