Popped in here on a Saturday afternoon when exploring Harvard square and WOW is all I can say. We sat at the bar and received excellent service from the bartender Rocco. The lady ordered a cosmo and me a custom martini that Rocco had zero issues accommodating. We ordered dollar oysters (rare in Boston!) and they were incredibly fresh. Chef Duvy was incredibly welcoming and friendly, even hand-delivering the smoked shrimp dish (pictured) - as good as the shrimp was, the SAUCE was to die for. We mopped up the sauce with the bread until we were stuffed. But one of the best bites we had were the baked oysters - flavor packed heavenly bites. The service, food and ambiance were really incredible all around with beautiful tables, dim lighting but plenty of natural light, an appetizing raw bar near the entrance, and a cool chef's table. This was a perfect experience despite one minor detail. I'm not going to let that take away from how great this restaurant is but it makes for good comedy.* Here it is. Last Friday, Miss K and I were meeting two couples for a triple date and the six of us were seated in the semi-circular booth next to the entrance. I wanted to talk to my buddy so I eagerly climbed into the booth and slid in, followed by Miss K. In the hostess's mind, seating yourself before your lady is as bad as denying women the right to vote because she shot me a scowl the likes of which I've seen only once before (when a guy in a New York Penn Station men's room opened a stall door to see shit all over the floor). You know how some looks could kill? Well, this idiot's look could have hooked my balls up to a car battery and then waterboarded me. To put things in perspective, I've met very few hostesses who were thrilled about their jobs. They earn less than servers on average, especially in high-end establishments like Waypoint where servers are elite and hostesses are glorified signposts. I wonder where she keeps her boyfriend's nuts. I think I saw them hanging off a chain around her neck. Enough complaining. Let's focus on the food. Despite the fact that Waypoint is the Alden & Harlow of the ocean, it does have a couple of hefty turf items on its menu. Miss K and I decided to get a surf appetizer and a turf entree. I looked at the menu. I had to google most of the items and their ingredients. I thought I knew food pretty well but there's a whole other level of ingredients that people who have fuck-you money have access to regularly. (And I don't. I'm just more frugal than a family of ten during the Depression). So if you usually eat fried chicken, pizzas, ramen, or sushi when you go out, Waypoint's menu will simulate the experience of being shipped to a foreign war-torn country to cover a breaking news story. You'll see none of your familiar, comforting choices. Not even close. Suddenly, you have to eat mysterious flavors and textures and you just want to make doubly sure you're not eating the balls of a man who spoke out against the king and disappeared mysteriously. Waypoint doesn't have seed bags on its menu, so don't worry. But you will learn something looking up the ingredients. Our appetizer was the grilled monkfish cheek with inked eggplant and kohlrabi salsa verde. See? Ever heard of kohlrabi? Me neither. It's a selectively bred relative of cabbage. It makes a nice tangy salsa verde that complemented the inked eggplant. By "inked," Waypoint literally meant that squid or octopus ink (or at least food coloring) was used to give the pureed eggplant the appearance of the night sky. This puree had the consistency of mustard and it was fantastic. It was seasoned well and had just a slight, rough granularity to it that made it extremely pleasing to the tongue. Like making out with an angry squid. Pause for a second and reflect that Yelp considers me elite for likening gourmet food to squid rape. I've never had monkfish before so eating the cheek was an immediate immersion into this delicacy. The cheek was soft, white, and melt-in-your-mouth with just a hint of chewiness, just a hint, that made it such a buttery, pleasing bite, especially with a smear of inked eggplant. You should get it. Even if you get other starters, just get it. You'll love it. The monkfish is the world's best argument why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Before butchering, it looks like Welven da Great but access the right parts of its horrific-looking body and you have a small piece of fish you can sell for the price of ten Happy Meals. Get it! Our main course was the roasted chicken and veggies. This doesn't sound too glamorous but places like Waypoint do things to food that elevate it beyond the impaled birds at Star Market. First of all, this bird still had its feet. I grabbed a drumstick and it was the first time I had the talons of a chicken threatening to fondle my breasts. Yes, breasts. I've gained weight. You'll see this in the photo below. It wasn't creepy at all, though. I thought it was badass. It seemed like something a medieval warrior would do: Just bop the bird on the head, chop off said dead head, cook body, and rip off a drumstick with foot still attached. I devoured the meat up to where the ankle would be on a human. Then I tried chewing on the foot but it was too rubbery and there wasn't enough meat. The sight of the foot had me regressing to caveman by that point, which doesn't take much anyway, but I had to stop because there just wasn't anything there. I reached in for seconds As expected, even the tougher parts of the chicken were flavorful and tender. I think slow-cooking was partly responsible but I'm not going to deconstruct it. Delicious food- we were fortunate to be about to try an array of small plates, compliments of the chef, in which none disappointed. Of the ones that were on the menu- the CRAB FRENCH FRIES and PARSNIP HUMMUS were plentiful and addictive; the EGG SALAD was light and tasty. Pizza and pasta had good portions. Pasta had good texture (cooked al dente) and tasted homemade. The SQUID INK GEMELLI was a bit salty for my taste but I still enjoyed the other flavors. UNI BUCATINI was light and fresh, would definitely want more of it in the dish; pasta was also a bit salty. Ambiance- hip is a great definition. Music was loud but we were still able to converse. Good for groups. Open kitchen. Service- was ok. Water was always filled. We were not approached much which fine for this occasion but made it a little difficult to get the check when we needed it. Went there last night to celebrate my mom's retirement. We had the most amazing hostess, Marissa, who went above and beyond to help us have a great experience. Whomever Marissa's boss is, this woman deserves a raise. I messed up my reservation and cancelled it by accident so when I showed up and it was jammed packed, things weren't looking good for us getting a spot. I imagine Marissa had to move heaven and earth to get us a table and she miraculously did and showed such great empathy for our situation. So grateful for that!! Our meal at Waypoint was delicious from start to finish. We ordered: *The Smoked Whitefish Pizza: This was basically the pizza version of an everything bagel, topped with flaky whitefish. Fairly light. Not too flavor forward, but a crowdpleaser for the table. *Uni Bucatini: Wow, extremely good. Bouncy, house made noodles in this uni-adorned take on carbonara. The cheesy sauce is thick and delicious. *Chicken Fried Oysters: That fresh, sea-like taste in a crispy little bite. *Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings: Flavorful and viscous broth fill this medium-sized soup dumplings. Flavor is more on the pork side. And the star of this restaurant is definitely the Maine Lamb Shoulder. I am not usually a fan of lamb, but this meat was so tender, moist, and perfectly spiced. The meat fell of the bone and melts in your mouth. The kale and crema are also delicious and go perfectly with the lamb. I wish it came with more of it! With our other dishes, this was more than enough to share between four people. We barely finished it. Waypoint lives up to the hype and the lamb shoulder surpasses it. read more

Went on a week night and it felt like they were t even trying there was no music playing in the restaurant and it wasn't busy which if you've ever eaten in a quite restaurant with no filler or white noise it's quite awkward as all you really can hear is the conversations at other tables and the sounds of the kitchen/ bar. Was pretty underwhelmed by the food and service and for a $16 glass of wine they come to your table to pour it straight out of the bottle and don't even give you a full glass. Came for brunch with a group of friends. Service was good and pretty fast, but the food was mediocre. I shared the salmon bowl and WP burger with my boyfriend. The salmon bowl was way overpriced for the sad amount of food I was given. It was basically a few pieces of salmon, two spoonfuls of farro, and some cream cheese with everything bagel seasoning smeared on the edges of the bowl. Good concept and good flavor, but I don't think it was worth the money at all. The WP burger was okay. It wasn't particularly juicy or flavorful. As a group, we got a giant cinnamon roll to share for dessert. It really was huge. The six of us combined had trouble finishing it. It tasted good, not too sweet, not too cinnamon-y. Fantastic new place!! I loved it! We started out with delicious oysters; ichabod and spring creek and then proceeded to the best steak tartare we have had in a while. The Fried Smelts are an absolute must! Every friend that had come here before us said it was the must to have and it did not disappoint. The roasted bone marrow is delicious, but something about it here was not great. I'm not sure I would recommend this dish. However, 10/10 for the smoked whitefish pizza. My doula, her wife, and my wife came here as a thank you for the successful birth of my three kids. I was excited to be done breastfeeding and finally be able to have an adult beverage. Well... I guess my husband and my doula were the only people on the servers mind cause I only got one weak cocktail. While it was delicious, I wish I hadn't pumped and dumped for this. The portions were small- I have to look after 3 small kids on these calories so I need a lot. Had to get takeout after. Not worth the $85 but loved the atmosphere. Absolutely love Waypoint!! Chef Scelfo outdid Arden & Harlow. Waypoint has easily become one of my Boston staples. It seems expensive but you will leave satisfied and full (especially if you get a pizza)! Fyi: I didn't order all this the first time. I've been multiple times so I'm listing some of my favorites. I love how they keep changing their menu. Although some of my favorites are no longer available. Raw bar -oysters & clams are super fresh! They have a house made hot sauce that I always save for the rest of my meal hehee Pizza- all tend to be a bit more heavy & greasy but flavors are on point heehee Thin crust with big portion of toppings! Came for brunch on Sunday to try Michael Scelfo's second restaurant (of Alden and Harlow) and the "coastally-inspired fare" since I'm such a huge fan of seafood. The restaurant itself you wouldn't notice right away but once your inside, you definitely notice the vast amount of space the restaurant has in comparision to Alden and Harlow. Tables and booths of all sizes, and the bar has a decent amount of seating and table space. Between the two of us, we ordered the bucatini carbonara, raisin & walnut cinnamon roll, steak tartar, and chopped clam pizza (this is the order of my favorites from the best being first to my least favorite last) I usually don't like sweets like donuts and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, more like a midday snack. but this cinnamon roll was FANTASTIC. A friend of mine works here and suggested it and I absolutely loved it. It's huge so you could easily split it up among 3-4 people, the frosting and the softness and warmth of the roll is superb. In some articles I read before the restaurants opening, I noticed the clam pizza was mentioned a lot so I figured I would try it, but it was just good in my opinion, didn't really amaze me, although my friend loved it. Loved the bucatini as well, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the steak tartar with the trout roe and poached egg were delicious as well, almost didn't even need the bread that accompanied it. Indifferent about our waitress, nothing extraordinary, nothing terrible either. Menu is large and versatile from pasta, pizza, small plates, and all sorts of drinks. 4.5 stars for the food and service, 4 stars for the portions (yes, I'm aware this place is served tapas style) I came for a team dinner (10 people total). Service was on point with prompt seating for our reservation, speedy drink orders, overview of the menu. Our waitress even hung up a few of our bags even though our table didn't have its own coat hangers. Everything we ordered was wonderful, and I would eat everything again. The seafood was incredibly fresh and pasta was heavenly. The only part of the meal that wasn't memorable were the desserts. They were good, but I've definitely had better. Excellent, most excellent new Venetian street food Italian restaurant in an awesome spot from the team at Alden and Harlow. Hugely open kitchen straight to the left upon entry with a long bar directly behind the hostess station running the length of the right hand side of the wide open room. Banquet seating and high tops as well as table dining set ups are available. The space is open and airy - huge exposed beams line the ceiling from which hang irregular glowing glass orbs that bathe everything in a rush green hue. Somehow it looks like it should be loud but it is not. While our table is prepared, bartenders deftly prepare rich, well chilled classics (think manhattans and martinis) expeditiously. The bar tab is settled and after our brief wait, we are led to a high top near the kitchen. The service is impeccable. The knowledge of the menu and descriptions provided are accurate. Food arrives in waves and drinks are refilled on request. The menu includes raw dishes, small seafood dishes, pasta dishes and plates to share. A half dozen oysters are shucked expertly and have zero shell residue in the crisp, briny oyster meat. We sample uni marrow - a giant beef bone roasted with a generous helping of uni and sardine filets balanced atop the unctuous beef marrow. Grilled squid ink bread is for making bites of magic come true - spread marrow, uni and sardine with the crisp onions and diced chives and wonder how many salty, crunchy, buttery sweet sensations the tongue can handle at once - it's alot. An order of king crab (out of shell) with a brown butter aioli, black rice and chili oil melds heat with crunch and sweet crab meat. The tender, finger sized pieces of flesh stick to the aioli and distribute the spice from the chili oil through teach bite. The black rice is crisped and helps provide substance to the plate. This is a special dish. Gemelli infused with squid ink is not shy in putting forth the sapid salt flavor so often obscured by other ingredient when the ink is used solely for coloring purposes. The pasta is dusted with pecorino and coated in fat from rendered ham and swordfish lard. Ocean essences are the main element: the sea is nearly recreated through a slice of sashimi and a handful of mache cascading down the wavy mountain of "water" foaming on top of the dish. An order of uni bucatini presents al dente pasta coated in cheese, butter and fresh ground black pepper topped with bright orange uni. Mixed together, sweet, salty and crisp pepper are jumbled in a flavor bomb. Next time, plates to share shall be ordered. This place gets high marks - the prices, the food, the gracious service - its all worth searching out between Central Square and Harvard square. read more

Came with my friend to this place for some nice brunch! The menu looks really interesting with some extravagant items like cavier.. which i did not get to try. Restaurant Vibe: Super cute, all the tables are marble tables. Service: It was OK, the server didn't seem really happy to serve or recommend us much on the food. Here are the things we ordered: 1. Steak Tartar - pretty good, they give a generous amount of meat (see my photos). I liked it that they do not add too much veggies into the meat like other restaurants but I do think that it could have been saltier and the eggs could have been a bit more raw. Again, my preferences are different, I tend to like really raw stuff and salty food. (dish rating: 7/10) 2. Chopped Clam Pizza - the pizza is a good size to share between two people. I really liked this dish because of the generous amount of clams that they gave. The pizza just smelled really good and the thin crust pizza was cooked perfectly. (9/10) I'd give it a 10 if there were even more clams! haha 4. BUCATINI CARBONARA - my friend really liked this dish. I find the dish a bit too bland (again I like saltier food) and that the pasta was not cooked enough. I generally like pastas that are on the softer side. They do give a lot of bacon though, big chunky pieces! (6/10 - mainly because I don't like the hard pasta) (6/10) 3. Cinnamon Roll - Nothing special for me. The bun was almost tasteless without the sauce that was drizzled on top. There were barely any raisins. I think the one from Flour Bakery is much better (3/10) I wouldn't recommend this dish. 4. Coffee - It was normal coffee but what I liked about it was that it came in a cute filter jug. I do want to try out their dinner menus though! So I guess I'll be back. read more

I'm disappointed. This restaurant looks fancy and is nicely decorated with a good location near Harvard Square. But the dishes are not what I expected. We first ordered Pemaquid Mussels, Uni Bucatini, and Kings Crab to try out. The mussels were too salty and lost the freshness of seafood. The Uni was OK, but too much cheese made it not so Uni. The portion of the Kings Crab dish was so tiny that I was not able to tell if it is tasty. What a ripoff. We ended up order another pizza just to fill our stomachs. I guess you probably already know what I would recommend, but if you insist to dine here, I would suggest you go for their pizza. But then again, you probably can find another place that is more pizza worthy... read more

This is a cool, trendy spot thats down a bit from Harvard Square. The environment is very chill but classy and there's some very interesting dishes here. Our server was great and she was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We got the steak tartare, clam pizza, and octopus pasta. The steak tartare was the favorite thing I had. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the egg and fish eggs were a great addition in terms of flavor. The entire plate came together very well. The octopus pasta was pretty good as well though I thought the dish was a bit salty. I didn't really care for the pizza. It was way too overseasoned and way too salty. There was too much dry cheese and not enough clam. I can still taste the saltiness of the pizza. This place would get a 3.5. read more

Squid Ink Gemmini: Pleasantly surprised that they make their own gluten-free pasta. It was the best gluten-free pasta I've had to date at any restaurant. Overall the dish had the perfect balance of salty, sweet, creamy, and peppery with a delicious rough chopped pesto and bacon and mushrooms perfectly cooked. Lobster Tail: perfect level of spice. The lamb was dry and way too salty. I tried to balance it out with the mash and kale the accompanied the dish -- but overall it was horrid. If I am paying $74 for a dish, then it better knock my socks! For alternate recommendations, you should go to Pammy's. Pammy's is also super pricey, but it hasn't let me down. After my fourth time here in a span of 2 months, I felt like I should share why Waypoint is the very best of the Boston food scene. Ambiance & Service: The service has been fantastic. I've sat both at the bar and at a table, and have received great service in both places. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and passionate about the food. The ambience is great - low-lighting, neon, trendy bar. Food & Drink: Absolutely incredible. Everything I've had here is fantastic. The $1 oysters are a steal and absolutely delicious. The uni bucatini is extremely decadent and rich and worth every bite. The crab and farro salad is also delicious and has such interesting textures. But honestly, you can't go wrong with the food. Very disappointing. The only dish that my husband and I liked was the Jonah's crab & angel hair pasta. The striped bass was way overcooked and tiny. The Brussels and guanciale pizza was very salty, oily and all we could taste was garlic. Met a friend for brunch here since it's highly rated and on quite a few top restaurant lists for the Boston area. The ambience of the restaurant was a little off for brunch, it is more of a dinner place, but it was colorful and unique. My friend got a basic breakfast option with eggs and potatoes while I tried the latke Benedict and had a coffee. I was surprised to discover the coffee was a french press which was nice but honestly a bit much for what I was looking for. The latkes were fried to perfection but the dish itself was extremely salty and was just very...small. If you come here expect to order a few things and be ready to shell out. read more

The food at Waypoint was disappointing, especially at the price point. We were excited about the menu, and presentation was beautiful, but the food was not very flavorful and in some cases not very well prepared. The smelts were bland and a little chewy. The Uni Bucatini was genuinely a little undercooked (I do prefer my pasta al dente) and underwhelming. The crab and farrow salad was light and nice but the crab was a vanishingly subtle flavor. We had the octopus polpetti and grilled octopus and similarly the flavor of the octopus was nearly lost and rather bland overall. Brussel sprouts were heavy and sweet but at that point I was grateful for some flavor. All in all, the quality of the preparation was failing the rest of the concept and, again, the price point. I don't want to belabor value, but there are so many good restaurants in Boston that we really have fantastic options at $100/person, and there's no reason to settle. Finally, the good: we enjoyed the ambience; the interior and lighting works for a date but it was bustling and the music was upbeat enough for dinner or drinks with friends. Drinks were good. Waitress was overextended, but competent and friendly staff. We won't be back but the restaurant seemed quite busy and I hope they step up their game in time as it seems like a good concept. read more

Food was delicious! The crab and Angel hair pasta was to die for. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was yummy. Food came out quickly but had a good pace between dishes. Would very much recommend if you are in Cambridge! read more

We arrived at 11:55am for our brunch reservation ready for a festive Mother's Day celebration. Although no one came to take our order until we asked 20 minutes later, we were still feeling relaxed and festive. 30+ minutes later we received 1 order of our first course (it was a 3 course pris fixe menu and there were 3 of us) but the other 2 dishes, both salads, never arrived. We inquired and they finally came out-maybe 20 minutes later. Then 2 main courses arrived but the third one was nowhere to be seen. We had planned to share everything and we tried to wait but we were now 1.5 hours into our lunch when the last entree came out, a very overdone burger. By now we had lost our appetites. Our server was constantly apologizing and then told us the desserts we had ordered 1.5 hours earlier were no longer available. we had to pick something else. SInce we were coming up on the 2 hour mark we had them packed to go. I did ask to speak to the manager and he told me feedback is important, When trying to get him to address our concerns he told me they don't usually do brunch and it was not the usual staff, he was trying to sort out the kitchen, and when I told him the back of our booth panel was not attached to the frame he said "someone did not install it correctly" and he "inherited" the problem. No wonder everything was a mess-when the manager takes no responsibility why should anyone working for him? He finally said he would comp us lunch and we left-hungry! One of the best restaurants in Boston! I came here with a couple foodie-inclined friends on a pleasant Saturday evening with the intention of just having a few appetizers and a couple drinks. That did not happen. The apps were too good to not not get an entree and the cocktails were too good to not not get a bottle of wine. You know... treat yourself. For a 2 1/2 hour meal consisting of 3 cocktails, 3 apps, 2 entrees, 1 dessert + 3 coffee, the final total was less than $100 a person...totally worth it. Quick facts: Dress code: smart casual Occassion: Catching up with friends, 3rd date and up unless money is of no object and you're both foodies then you do you. Ambience: Dimly lit, modern Food: Order many dishes and SHARE. The food is flavorful but quite heavy. Nantucket bay scallop crudo: nice balance between the mandarin orange and the savory, spicy sauce. Smoked mackerel: When you order this dish, do yourself a service of cracking the egg and mixing it in with the sauce Citrus grilled prawns: Very flavorful, a bit difficult/ messy to eat if you do not want to eat the shell. French onion pizza: Super heavy, the apple balances the gamey lamb. The comte is just there to enrich the dish and increase the calories... Came with a group of six for Sunday brunch. The food options were very interesting. I had the eggs Benedict on latke which was very crispy and perfectly cooked, though was smaller than I expected (I was picturing an eggs Benedict with latke in the middle, not that the latke would replace the English muffin). I also had the fried oyster on a waffle (can't remember the name). That was unique and really tasty, especially the waffle. Finally, we ordered a cinnamon bun for dessert. It took a while to come out, but we were delighted by it. First off, it's huge. The six of us were happy sharing the single bun. It was also really well made, not overly sweet or overly cinnamony. The food was all excellent and I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, we felt abandoned by the service for a very long time before ordering and after we had finished and were looking to pay. We LOVED our experience here (we were there yesterday - 4/17/19). We found the 8 course chefs tasting special & cocktail pairings online, and decided to book our anniversary dinner there. First off, Toni was so quick to respond to our request (I had booked this dinner a month ahead of time), and was very understanding when we had to change it to one day earlier than planned - still plenty of time in terms of giving them notice, but I appreciated their kindness and helpfulness. We arrived a bit earlier than planned, and were planning to just grab a drink to kill some time after checking in. We were informed that they were ready for us, and we were seated at a table facing the kitchen. While the table was shared with two other diners, it still felt intimate since there was plenty of space and all four seats faced the kitchen. The service was fantastic. You could feel that the team worked well together, and we felt well taken care of from check-in to the end of the meal. The food was amazing, too. Oysters, Chopped Tuna Crudo, Blue Crab & Wild Watercress Salad, Smoke Mackerel, Butter Roasted Snails, Chopped Clam pizza, Emmer Casarecci, and dessert - Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. Each dish delicious, and generously portioned. The cocktails were wonderfully thought out, and paired beautifully with the dishes. We enjoyed the table facing the kitchen since we could watch all the dishes coming out. It helped give us ideas of what to order the next time we visit. The timing of the dishes and drinks was perfect. Our server was sweet to wish us well on our anniversary. She even mentioned how even though it wasn't the initial date we planned for that she hoped we enjoyed celebrating a day early (referring to our reservation changes & email exchanges with Toni). I thought that was such a sweet touch to an already wonderful meal/experience. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying other dishes (and drinks) on the menu! read more

This place was randomly suggested to us by an old couple and it did NOT disappoint. My friends was But disgruntled by the "lame neon" (her words), but we were seated at the chef's table and our view was great (with no neon signs in our peripheral vision... Not that I care tbh). The servers are all really nice and the food was amazing. - oysters: delicious but $3.50 a piece - crab fries: yummy and plentiful. There crab aioli was bomb. We didn't finish and after a while it felt salty. If you're really hungry order it.. otherwise you could skip this. - lobster tail: SO. GOOD. They use this like Szechuan pepper or something- the kind that starts to numb your tongue a little?? So good. The puffed rice was perfect. And THEN they gave us bread to sop up the sauce. - salad (s). We ordered the apple radish salad but got the pickled veggies one instead. Then they brought us the right one later. The apple radish one is GORGEOUS and refreshing and delicious. The pickled veggies one is like a basic salad with different pickled veggies but... It was just okay. It was plentiful. We got the half size but there was a lot. - lobster pasta- freaking delicious. Pasta is perfectly cooked and textured. The lobster is plentiful. In the end we didn't order drinks or dessert because we were full and they brought us our bill in a cool choose your own adventure book Everything was shared and it was definitely a night of food I'll remember!! read more

Delicious food though somewhat unusual - a plus and a minus - and it's a bit pricey. Good special occasion spot.

Waypoint is in my Top 3 Boston restaurants no question! (Little Donkey & Island Creek are the other two). I've been a few times now and never had a bite of food that wasn't sublime. Their cocktails are on point, specifically i love the "down to the root". I've also enjoyed many glasses of both sparkling and non-sparkling rosé #basic. For food, I love love any of their crudos. Always so balanced, tart, and fresh. The chopped clam pizza goes without saying, but i love it. Finally there was a king crab dish last time i was there that i will #neverforget. Can't wait until i see it on the menu again! Don't leave without trying the cinnamon sugar donuts (don't blame me when you have trouble sharing with whoever you're there with). read more

I disagree strongly with the reviews that Waypoint is quiet. My group of 3 couldn't hear each other over the music. Each time we asked for the music to be turned down, it was turned back up again by the staff. Even the staff couldn't hear us and mixed up the order. The food is great and the experience would be fine if you are dining alone. Otherwise, you are shouting over the music, your neighbors are shouting over you and the music, you are shouting louder over your neighbors and the music.... and turtles all the way down to misery. read more
