What a lovely peaceful place to grab a coffee on a boat in Little Venice. I visited around 3pm & had some very friendly older couples already there who were quite eager to have a conversation. We had a nice chat, but then I told them I had some emails that I needed to focus on & they let me carry on at my table in silence. So its friendly, but also respectful. the coffee was very good & I had a lemon + ginger drizzle cake that was amazing. They do offer some hot food too. Its a tiny space, so definitely no big groups. But its a great place to sit down and relax. They have tables on the bank outside if you would prefer to sit outdoors.

Have you ever been out on a miserable day and thought I want comfort? I want somewhere that will make me feel cozy, cutting out the cold, damp environment? Today was such a day for me. I emerged from Warwick Underground Station to a miserable wet London day. I wanted instant comfort. I decided that today refuge remedy was the Waterside Café in Little Venice. The Waterside Café feels as though it has been in Little Venice forever. It is almost a local institution. I think most of the Yelpers I know in the W9 region of London have either checked in or reviewed this place. It is actually a barge that sits on the canal, in the heart of Little Venice. In the summer it is really popular, and difficult to get an outside seat on the canal bank. Today though, I wanted the warmth of the inside of the barge. I ordered a Latte, and sat down looking out at the drizzle and felt good. I had the place to myself and liked it. The staff here are very friendly and the service is good. It has the usual café fayre, plus a selection of gluten free cakes. They offer a limited selection of hot dishes, which usually consist of pasta. They mainly serve sandwiches, jacket (baked) potatoes and Panini's. I enjoyed my visit here today as it served its purpose. It's not somewhere where you can spend hours over an afternoon of continues refreshments, as it does not have a restroom. It worked well for me today though.

The Waterside Cafe was the first place I was advised to go to when I first moved in the area. Little Venice is a beautiful area and the opportunity to get into one of the canal boats and have a nice lunch or coffee is something you don't want to miss. I have been there many times and it's definitely one of my favourite places in London. The food is amazing, the coffee is great and the atmosphere pretty unique. The breakfast and the omelettes are the best so you have to try those first and then you'll want to keep coming back for more. I can not recommend this place enough! Just go ahead and go there and you'll understand!

We stopped in for breakfast on our first morning in London, mostly because it was near the hotel. My girlfriend and I both had the fried egg roll (two fried eggs on a baguette). The baguette was good, but as a meal, I'd rather have something I couldn't make just as easily at home. In short - good, but nothing special. The most memorable part of the visit wil probably be that the cafe is on a canal boat. I will say that I enjoyed my large cup of filtered coffee (what we would just call coffee in America). It's surprisingly hard to get a decent pot of coffee, and they were spot on. This place is very small, no more than 4 or 5 tables that seat 3 each. If it's busy at all, you will probably end up taking away your meal, which wouldn't be a bad thing, because you can enjoy walking along the canal while eating it.

Beautiful area, Little Venice Beautiful setting - a boat restaurant, you can see the water or other boats/birds passing by Great food - The omlettes are both delicious and very big, enough to skip lunch that day Coffee - only decent enough to drink it The service - absolutely horrible. The lady that took our order didn't seem to be that happy about her job. Tap water - they refuse us a glass, ok I bought a botle no problem but then I had to eliminate the water I drank therefor I asked about Toilets - of course they don't have (that was the attitude I was answered) Wifi - no So my personal experience was a bad one saved by the food, so if you read my review: go there for the food and the view, expect nothing else.

Great service and breakfast- we got the full English and I got the yogurt (so good) added some honey and jam and the ham and cheese sandwich!

Very cute Cafe in little Venice, the food and drinks are ok but it's a nice spot to chill after exploring the area

Setting is fairly nice. People serving a bit clueless and don't speak good English. Ordered an English breakfast, comes with usual items, including mushroom - literally one mushroom! Complained and got extra mushrooms (2 this time, see photo). I paid £10 for this, better places to eat around the corner towards Paddington (canal walk) and a nicer more chic location.

Great food and a great place to sit and eat. You get an awesome view of the water and have the option to sit on board or enjoy the outdoors. I ordered an omelette and it hit the spot! I'm definitely returning for more :)

Cute cafe, but the tea and coffee were tasteless and they added milk to both after I explicitly asked them not to.

Nice to be on the water, but otherwise not really worth going out of your way for - neither the food not location warrant it.

I had breakfast with my cousin: we had warm croissants with butter and jam, buttered toasts with jam, a portuguese pastry and cappuccinos for 14 pounds.

One eventually came to our table after sitting awhile. I of course had to try the fish n chips. A couple of veggie burgers were ordered and a regular burger. Surprisingly happy hour was still on at 8 o'clock so drinks were ordered. The food all came at the same time and everything was cool. The fish had a nice flavor from the fried batter. To me it was similar to Long John Silvers as far as the batter is concerned, but slightly better quality overall. The fries were standard. The only thing horrible was the very bland mashed green peas. They should be omitted from every pub across the country, but I think it is a traditional item included with the fish. The cocktails were good as well as the price. The sticky toffee pudding was something else I was advised to try while in London. I must admit it was really delicious. It came with a scoop of ginger ice cream and a warm buttery toffee sauce to pour over. It was delightfully warm and sweet and paired well with the ice cream. The cake itself was moist enough on its own with notes of brown sugar and molasses. I could have had seconds and thirds of this desert. Yum! The majority of my party didn't think the food was fantastic. The burgers happened to be somewhat alright. This was a first for me having pub food and I would have more again as long as I stick to the basics.

However, on deeper inspection - the Cow is a marvelous dining experience - complete with an extensive wine selection, rotating specials, and a bespoken approach to food preparation. The food? Well, it's British pub fare - with a slightly divergent menu on Sundays. Everything is fresh and beautifully plated. The bangers and mash was exceptional. The green bean salad was so unique and popping with flavors, I scribbled the ingredients list in an attempt to reproduce the dish at home. The atmosphere is hopping - it's a small pub ambience and there is not any wasted space. Not to fear, the delightful staff can help find a table for your party. I was a bit intimidated walking in on a Sunday night all by myself. My trepidation quickly went away as the server made it easy to relax and enjoy my evening. As a small aside, I sat next to the small kitchen space on the main floor. To see the amazing plates being prepared one after the other in that tiny kitchen, well . . . that was an amazing experience in and of itself. Chapeau to the chef. Truly a masterpiece to put out such accomplished food from a space no larger than most bathrooms.

We chose the tasting menu since it featured a variety of farm-fresh dishes. My husband added the wine pairing.
