We did afternoon tea in London with a Peter Pan theme, and it was absolutely dreamy, like stepping into a fairy tale. Everything was amazing: the tea, sandwiches, desserts, and the presentation was truly on point. Service was excellent and very attentive. The views were incredible, overlooking the London skyline with Tower Bridge and Big Ben in sight, just magical! Yes, it's expensive, but 100% worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A must do in London! And Don't forget to book in advance!
Set atop a beautiful building, Aquashard is an experience to have while visiting London. We made our reservation for 7 PM for the scenic dinner. It was a perfect time in April because when we arrived the sun was still out but his night progressed, we were able to watch the sunset over the tower bridge and reflecting onto downtown in London. The views are beautiful, but sligjtly obstructed because of the way that frame of the building is set. Our three course dinner was delicious. My wife's appetizer was the poached crab and the entree the halibut. I had the grilled octopus as an appetizer and the Welch lamb chops for my main. All four dishes were spectacular, well present presented, and delicious. We had a wine pairings, bubbles for the appetizer, my wife had a beautiful Chardonnay from California with her dinner and I had an Italian red. Dessert with also excellent. The apple tart was one of the best desserts we have ever had. The service was good but a little bit disjointed. We had multiple servers and the dinner was not very well coordinated in terms of the pairings and the food, arriving at the same time. In fact, we never got our dessert pairing but by the time we had finished we were too full drink anymore. Overall, a good experience, not miss, but they can do a little better with their service coordination. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied in the end.
It was my mother and my last evening in London and we wanted to celebrate a great trip. I had reserved the window experience and an experience it was! The view was amazing and the food delicious! My mom had the steak and I ventured out with the venison and I'm so glad I did, amazing! This is a pricier restaurant but certainly worth for a special occasion!
So, I decided to take my fiance here to celebrate our engagement and it, unfortunately, disappointed. Although the view was incredible, the service and food did not match it. First, the food was okay. The set menu items did not wow me and the a la carte menu did not have much flavor. The huge downside was the service. I will say that they were attentive to me and my needs, but my fiance was often neglected or ignored. Our server only addressed me, only checked in on my needs, but never my fiance. It really dampened the atmosphere.
Stunning views! The elevator ride is super quick so be ready for a fast change in elevation! We booked the Peter Pan tea and it was well worth it to have afternoon tea with gorgeous views of London. Was it expensive? Yes, but for us it was a bucket list item and something we were really looking forward to. The tea was delicious and you receive a generous amount of desserts, finger sandwiches and canapés. We were lucky to be seated right by a window and were offered tea refills and were even able to try multiple flavors. The food itself was average but the atmosphere was wonderful. Know that you're really paying for the view!
Last leg of my Europe visit and I was going to fly out of London. My SIL reserved a nice lunch at this restaurant for me and this is my welcome to London moment. If you're looking for such a place to dine and see the sights of the city - this is the best place to be. We were here for lunch last Monday. We were seated right by the window with a view of the city - the side of the London eye. We were presented the menus - there's the regular menus and a set menu. We opted for the 3-course set with white wine. It was 49 + 10 with the wine so I thought that was a good deal. I highlighted both our orders below. My SIL soup with quail eggs was creamy and good, my tartine was also well prepared. The Roasted fillet sea bream was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. They poured the sauce after it was served and it had all the perfect elements for a main entree. The desserts were also divine - not too sweet and just right. Best place to go when you're visiting the city. Everything in this place was immaculate.
This was our first time at the Shard and it took us a minute to figure out where to enter to get to Aqua Shard. So note to others - you enter from the lower street level. Once you walk inside you go thru security and elevator takes you straight up to the restaurant. The views are beautiful. We checked in for our tea reservation and had a drink at the bar. The bar had good service and a fun cocktail menu. We then moved over to a window seat and had the Peter Pan afternoon tea. The experience was a lot of fun. The tea presentation was excellent and all the items of good quality. The service was good but a bit slow. Overall we greatly enjoyed it.
Food was very good! Visited with friends and really enjoyed our experience. The service was top notch and the drinks excellent. We hit a clear day and could see miles. Make sure you plan enough time for the security line though!
A mind blowing view 30 stories above London is the perfect setting for what is literally "high tea". The service is excellent and the themed tea seems precious but is actually quite sophisticated. A highlight of our trip.
My husband and I came here without any reservation, wearing our casual clothes and sneakers, they allowed us in! My first reaction was "Wow"! As soon as you come in you'll be amazed with the glass windows, the layout of the restaurant was really pretty! We were greeted by Erin and she was really pleasant with a great smile. We were seated by the window and it was amazing to see the view of London. I'm pretty sure it's more beautiful at night! We were offered a Peter Pan Afternoon Tea so we were actually excited to try it for the first time. The food was elegantly presented but overly priced. Flavor is there but portion size not satisfied at all! We were asked if we wanted more of the sandwiches and baked fig which my husband said yes but it never came. The sweets not really impressed! Again, just cute to look at, food quality doesn't match the cost! The scones and sweets came in a pirate ship, the sandwiches and other savory selections came in a decorative lovely serving dish, both uniquely served! There are a few things not right and left us disappointed! We were able to experience the Afternoon tea and to see the breathtaking view, would recommend for the view but not the food!

The views are jaw-dropping--floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping panoramas of the Thames, Tower Bridge, and the entire city skyline. It honestly feels cinematic. The bar itself is just as impressive as the setting: elevated but relaxed, with impeccably crafted cocktails that are balanced, creative, and absolutely worth lingering over. Service was polished and attentive without being stuffy, which made the experience even better. Yes, it's a splurge--but for the view, the atmosphere, and the quality of the drinks, it's 100% worth it. A must-do London experience.
We were in London for a day, and searching for a place to have tea (as one should do when one is in London). Aqua Shard came recommended and the Peter Pan Tea seems appropriate as I was celebrating a birthday but also refusing to feel into my age. Let me start by saying that the views, atmosphere and service were worth it. Our server (ahoy Captain Jack) was fantastic. The staff checking us is were fantastic. Have I said fantastic enough? Probably not. The tea itself was the best hot tea I had on this run through London and France. The sweets were better than they needed to be. The presentation of the food was phenomenal. If the goal was to delight in a way that made me feel like a kid again ... they succeeded. A note for the gentleman who may be reading this ... the men's room was the single more spectacular men's room I have ever seen. Floor to ceiling views while one conducts one's business. I know ... I can't believe I'm reviewing the bathroom, but it's ASTONISHING. We only had about 10 hours in London on this visit, and I'm genuinely happy that two of them were spent here. Thanks to Aqua Shard for a truly special birthday experience.

Went for the Peter Pan afternoon tea. Mainly went for the view - seated at window table with perfect view of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Three main aspects to the afternoon tea -'some appetizers followed by scones and sandwiches.' Finally, dessert. Unlimited amount of all including coffee and a choice of three teas. There is a Peter Pan theme. See pictures. Service was a bit slow but friendly - it's ok because you get to linger in the beautiful surroundings. Check out the washrooms. Okay, this gets all the marks for an amazing experience. 30+ floors up in The Shard, amazing views, beautifully decorated Peter Pan themed restaurant at Christmas time and impeccable service! Make sure to allow time to be security screened when you enter the building, take the ride up, up, up and check your coat and shopping bags. Once seated, gorgeous views of London await you. If you are more than a party of 2 you will not be seated against the window. We were a party of 3 and were seat one row back but still a gorgeous view. Dress nice as this is an upscale bar. Tables are small and cozy for afternoon tea or a drink. Does get a tad cramped once all the items come out though. We came for the Peter Pan experience and it was an awesome presentation. From fun colored teas to the beautifully designed treats and the presentation of treats. It was most definitely fun. It's expensive fun though but that seems to be the case for a lot of the themed teas in London. The three of us (parents and teen) enjoyed the experience. The food was good but not as great tasting as other afternoon teas we attended during our trip however, the experience was memorable. Watching that ship smoke and discovering my blue tea when I poured is something I will always remember. The food itself had a number of finger type sandwiches and desserts but the real star of this tea was the scones. They were the most delicious thing. However, I was too full from the sandwiches and desserts to eat much of the scones but if I did it over again I would most definitely make room to eat up all the scones, lol. They come out second so if you're going for the first time save room for those and maybe not eat all the sandwich offerings which are pretty hearty! The gigantic Christmas Tree was so festive and picture worthy. We had a good time. Our waitress was really lovely. In addition to all the sandwiches, desserts, scones and tea, you can order other drinks and coffees which we did. We were extremely full upon leaving so you won't go away hungry. They did the Peter Pan theme really well. Several fun surprises and well, you just can't beat the views and service. read more

Always a great place to have cocktails whenever I'm in London The views esp if you actually have a window seat are amazing and the atmosphere is classy and chic They have tight security at The Shard which I appreciate and also a dress code - no trainers/tennis shoes etc Service has always been attentive Obviously drinks are expensive but as a tourist trap what would you expect! read more

First off-- the views are spectacular! But beyond this the Aqua Shard is just OK! We went for Sunday brunch --food was ok( desserts were excellent esp the Posset and chocolate dome)Service was less than stellar-- our waiter disappeared halfway through our meal on his break but never informed us---we had to flag down another waiter to get our plates cleared--never saw him again...basically it's all about the view as for the high prices they charge there are many better meals to be had in London...would we go back? Definitely not for a meal but maybe a drink...the third star is for the view. read more
The sandwiches are ok. The sweets are better. As for a "tea", the experience was not as good as expected. The waiting staff were polite and friendly. If you are looking for a real British height tea, look elsewhere Not bad for kids - entertaining in the Peter Pan theme. read more

I came here for the Peter Pan afternoon tea knowing that it would be expensive. The views were very impressive! Our server was very attentive and sweet. I had a glass of champagne to start, very nice! We had the savory part first, I really enjoyed the mushroom tart, incredible! You can even get additional pastries as part of the price. We then had tea and sweets. Everything was delicious! We were very satisfied with everything! The set up was cute with the Peter Pan theme. read more
Spectacular Views! If you're in London, Aqua Shard is a must-visit for the breathtaking views alone! The cityscape at sunset is truly magical. The food? Meh. For the price point, I was not overly impressed by any of the options that we had and I felt that service was incredibly rushed. We had a reservation for the 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. seating and before 7:15 p.m.,, we already had all of our food out and I felt that the wait was pushing us, rather than letting us take our time. With that said, the views are worth the visit - I recommend getting a seat at the bar rather than going for a formal meal. read more
People watching is almost as fun here as the view. Enjoy a nearly 360 view of London while amping your social media game (or watching others do so). Well placed tables make it both a nice backdrop to hang with friends or impress a date. Cocktails are great too! read more
Great experience and beautiful view of the city. We had a reservation for an afternoon tea - Peter Pan -themed. Upon entering the modern building, we had to go through a checkpoint security-not too bad. Once we got in, we had to take an elevator (lift) all the way to 32nd floor. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the first class service. Many options for drinks from tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The finger food was beautifully arranged and presented. The desserts and scones was magical and a nice way to end the experience. Scones I felt was the highlight with the different spreads that comes with it. read more
I'll have to say I was very surprised to see this place only rated a 3-star from Yelp. It's rated higher on other platforms, and for good reason. This place is a must-see when visiting the London area. Reservations are strongly recommended. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, from the coat check station to the host station, to the servers, and kitchen staff. We got seated right next to the window with just amazing views. It's a bit dark inside the restaurant and we had to use our phone flashlights in order to see the menus, but this is likely for a reason so that you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the cityscape all lit up at night. Food presentation is like a piece of artwork, crafted to perfection. The Shard dessert is a great example of what I mean. Portion size is a bit on the small side, but I suppose it's right on par with other high class restaurants. This will possibly be the only time I would every include the restrooms in a review, but like seriously the restrooms are just amazing. Everything in the men's room actually faces the outside so you can enjoy the views while conducting your business. Definitely glad to have come here. I would highly recommend this place. read more
The hostess was really nice and friendly. They accommodated me without a reservation and I got to do the afternoon tea service on the fly. The food, I don't know how I feel about it. It could be me but the baked pig was not my cup of tea. It was really heavy and also served cold. I do understand that a lot of prep that goes into this, and that things are made beforehand and kept cold right before serving. This place is more for fun / Peter Pan fans but not necessarily for foodies. But nonetheless, check out the view from the 32nd / 31st floor. read more
Ambiance - Phenomenal! Food - Unremarkable and $$$$$ - don't do it! When you walk up to the Shard building, tell everyone you meet that you have reservations for dinner. When you get off the elevator, go down one flight and then go left, toward the bar and find yourself a seat. There are cocktail tables and a cocktail bites menu - wish I had known that before we ordered our dinner that totally sucked and saved ourselves 200 pounds. Very much worth a visit, just not to eat. Come see the sunset over London. Beautiful views of the Themes and Tower Bridge and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine. Just remember, in the summer, the sun doesn't set until 9-9:30 so the later the better if you want to see the city lit up at night. read more

Come here for the great view. The food and service was lacking. Arrived at 8:15pm for our 8:30pm reservation (their instructions said to arrive 15 minutes early) but our table wasn't ready until 9:00pm. You have to go through metal detectors and security screening, so I guess you cannot bring any self defense weapons with you. Food was very small portions, overpriced, and lacking in any good flavor. I had the halibut which was small and tasted alright but nothing special. The bread with butter was fine. The carrots were lukewarm and ok. Overall none of the food stood out. The view is very nice, but I think I would prefer to come during daylight hours instead of late at night. Also the dining room is so poorly lit, I assume it's so you can see the view better, but it was so dark that it was impractical, I couldn't read the menu at all and people bumped into you as they walk by. The view from the bathroom is nice, so bring your phone to the toilets. Overall, it was a nice experience but you're paying a lot for the ambiance with subpar food. read more

The view is truly great but the food and service, not the best. The exotic one drink had way too much of the corn flavor. I did not enjoy it. Had to switch for a more refreshing drink. The appetizer list was pretty limited. Food takes a while to come out. We ordered the sea bass and a side of mash. Surprisingly, we were filled off the portions. The mash was the best thing I ate there. The sea bass needed a bit more flavor. Overall, I would go again to the bar for the view. Not worth the prices, in my opinion, for the food. read more
I came here to go to Afternoon Tea which was Peter Pan themed. You can make a reservation in advance online but need to add in your credit card because there is a no-show fee. When we arrived to the 31st floor where this is inside The Shard, we were greeted at host stand. We then were brought over to this small table that faced the window. The view was amazing - we could see tower bridge where we were at. Our waitress for the tea was amazing. She was super friendly, fun, and explained the experience very well. The tea was flavorful. I even got a mock tail to start which was very good (not too sweet or sour like most can be). The food was very filling too which was a good lunch. It was pricey but totally worth the experience and the view. I would do it again if I was back in London! read more
You can't beat the view and the service here. Our waitress, Charlie, was both prompt and very friendly. The food is good, but a bit overpriced for the portion size. We received excellent wine suggestions that were local to the area that really complemented our meals. read more

From the beginning the customer service was phenomenal. Even the security people at the front door were very polite & helpful. They offer to take your jacket and hold it at the check in, a detail I love. We paid extra for the window table, it was gorgeous, we loved it. We picked from the dinner skyline menu, everything we picked was so delicious. Our waiter was wonderful too, he took pictures of us for memories. We received an extra dessert to congratulate us on our marriage as we were on our honeymoon. Aqua shard easily had the best food we tasted the whole time we were in London. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you have the time & money! It was quite expensive but worth every penny. The ambience here was so comfortable, the service was very attentive.
