The highest level of afternoon tea you can imagine in London, upscale restaurant, good tea with snacks, and in the tallest building Western Europe - you can't go wrong! Higher price than most other places but you get what you pay for and it was worth it. Endless small snacks, scones, a huge variety of tea, the servers were all very helpful - and of course you have a view over all of London. They do multiple courses first with choices of tea, then small sandwiches, a dessert as a replica of The Shard itself with a dry ice display, pastries, and finally scones with that beloved clotted cream and jam. Oh and their men's bathroom overlooks all of London where you can watch the entire city while you use the restroom. I also recommend to dress more upscale, enjoy the upscale ambiance, and drink all the boujie tea you can with ya' pinky nice and high!

Ambiance - 100% a high end vibe, live jazz music, beautiful views, wonderful thought out decor Service - all staff was friendly, professional, and checked in on us regularly Food - I ordered the vegan high tea and I was happily surprised. It was flavorful, had great texture, and had different varieties of sandwiches! Many times vegan dishes are not thought out, are repetitive and bland. This was thoughtful, fun, and delicious. Bonus: dessert came with a bit of a show!

Afternoon Tea experience at Ting is definitely an experience to remember but too pricey for what we got although they have the most reasonable price of all tea experiences in London. The view though was spectacular. Booked through open table and requested for a window seating although not guaranteed but we're glad our request was honored. There are several afternoon tea experiences available but the base price was £75 per person. We opted to add cocktails to our booking. Included in the experience are as follows: Welcome Tea - your choice and they do have a lot. I chose the ZEST (lemon and ginger) hubby chose GREEN MINT, daughter chose MANGO Finger Sandwiches: Coronation Chicken - Sultana, Curry Mayo, Coriander Smoked Salmon & Cucumber - Dill Crème Fraîche, Lime Zest Reuben - Gherkin, Mustard, Rocket, Pastrami Truffle Egg & Cress - Truffle Mayo, Organic Eggs, Mustard Cress Savouries: Hibiscus Flower - Chicken Liver, Cheese Sablé, Hibiscus Powder (My fave) Rata Burger - Provençale Ratatouille, Green Pesto Scones - Plain & Raisin Scones Strawberry Jam & Clotted Cream Lemon & Olive Oil Plum cake (not so much a fan) Pastries: Exotic Bush - Vanilla Sablé, Pineapple Compote, Coconut Mousse Forest Log - Berriolette, Vanilla & Chocolate Flower Power Choux - Yoghurt Creméux, Peach Mousse The Green Shard (To Share) - Vanilla & Lemon We opted to add cocktails-mine and daughter's choice was the sweet and quaint while John and hubby chose the chinese whisper. The tea experience lasted 2 hours and we were not rushed. It's a better alternative than just climbing to the top of The Shard to get a glimpse of London from above since I have the ambience. All in all, I do recommend but lessen your expectations.

Really great service, as expected, and really beautiful space. They also had live music which was lovely and really added to the ambiance. Their finger sandwiches were crusty and dried out, which is unacceptable for this kind of price point. Their clotted cream with scones was my favorite part.

This is a fantastic place! We arrived late in the afternoon, early for dinner. Decided to have drinks before dinner, switched to tea, and stayed for dinner. Everything was top quality and the flavors were interesting and amazing! The service at every level was absolutely top notch. Giannis, who seems to be one of the managers, was also extraordinary. For the afternoon tea there was a live singing, and needless to see the view was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful atmosphere! Amazing staff! So much food and tea, it was truly worth the money and memories! #MomandDaughterDate

Tea at ting was definitely an experience. Fascinating views of London. The tea is 75 pounds per person but if you want champagne or a cocktail it is 20 pounds more. I feel like you're not only paying for the food but also the views and experience. When they take out the miniature shard... it's absolutely beautiful what they do with the table. Loved it. The service was OKAY. They weren't fast nor as attentive as I would have liked. Overall it was a nice experience. Great for dates or even groups. I posted a video review of this place on my tik tok & IG: @jessiica0204

The breakfast buffet is amazing. Restaurant has amazing views as it is located on the 35 th floor of the shard building in London. We also stopped by there at night for some drinks. Great restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. Will def be going there again if we stay at the Shangri-La Hotel

I made reservations for my fiancé and I while in London. We were seated promptly and the service was amazing and we had an amazing view of the city! The wait staff was incredible and constantly checked in on us and provided great service. The food was amazing! Very flavorful and filling! It was a great dinning experience and I highly recommend.

What a 360 view of London! Breath-taking and amazing views. Ting Restaurant located at the Shangri La Hotel in London at The Shard Building. The hotel is off the London Bridge tube station. I made reservations for dinner at Ting and they were offering a 5-course truffle meal. It was outstanding, the food was exquisite. The duck was on the salty side but every other dish with truffle was perfect. The only thing that I would say was the wait-time. We were there for almost 3 hours for our dinner, waiting for each entree to come out.

What a lovely festive afternoon tea at TING! The food was a solid 4 stars, but the service, tea, and atmosphere bump it up to a 5 star experience. - Atmosphere: It's hard to beat the atmosphere of TING, on the 35th floor of The Shard with amazing views of London! Our table was right up against the window, so we enjoyed the view throughout our meal. The Christmas decor was classy and beautiful. - Service: Jenny provided us with impeccable service! She was insistent that we sample as many teas as we liked, which was very appreciated. - Food/Drink: We started with the delicious welcome tea with flavors of cinnamon, pumpkin, and lemon. We sampled quite a few of the teas throughout the meal including masala chai and the shangri-la blend. For those who'd like, there are options to add on alcoholic drinks as well. We started the meal with a mix of finger sandwiches and savories. I noted in my reservation that my sister was a pescatarian and they were easily able to accommodate her dietary restriction in the meal. After the savory food, we enjoyed plain and savory scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Lastly, we had pastries beautifully decorated as stars, planets, and The Shard. Everything was delicious with large portions. They gave us takeaway boxes so we could take the leftovers home with us. - Value: At £69, the festive tea is not cheap, but the amount of food and tea, along with atmosphere and service definitely make it worth it.

YouTube influencers who recommended afternoon tea at this restaurant probably get free foods here for their recommendations. It's extremely exaggerated and expensive for mediocre food and tea. The service was decent at the beginning but tapered off significantly as the meal progressed. The view wasn't great either because the windows were dirty like looking at the city through a sticky film of dust and grimes. It's a one try and bye bye never again kinda place.

Definitely a go-to spot for afternoon tea, the view was amazing (request a bar-side window seat). Service was good as well, we did come a bit later in the day (4-430 PM) for tea but they were still attentive. This was our first time EVER having a high tea experience so perhaps my view is a little skewed. However, I thought the food was phenomenal! I enjoyed the sandwiches: coronation chicken, lox and cucumber, Reuben, and the stars of the show (!): truffle egg salad and the prawn cocktail! The truffle was on point (tasty and not too salty) and you can order more as desired. They SHINED with the desserts: the flavors are chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry and each one was pretty tasty. The green one (pistachio) was my favorite and I loved the scones - flaky, crisp on the outside and soft in the middle - just lovely. The amount of sweetness was a bit much for me, but it was still a fun, unique experience. Great views and a super pretty restaurant - highly recommend!

However, it was a whopping 93 GBP for 600g, which is meant to share between 2 people, but still not that much (refer to my pic). This is simply just too high of a price for this. Bone marrow and onions (12 GBP) - This was surprisingly good. Although the marrow itself didn't have much of a flavor, it was a nice buttery consistency to spread on the bread. The onions were cooked very well. Sticky Toffee Pudding (9.50 GBP) - This was more of a bread like dessert than a pudding, but was tasty and not overly sweet despite the toffee (which is good). The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service speed is pretty quick. The interior is decorated in a nice yet not too pretentious steakhouse style. There were still plenty of open tables available on a Sunday night. Overall, while the steak and food are very good, the steak is simply too overpriced to justify me getting it again. Maybe worth trying once but not twice. I would potentially come back for the other menu options though.

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

I just have to say in general, everyone at this hotel and pub are just extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I'm not that familiar with pub culture and apparently the way it works is that you have to go up to the bar to order your food. I asked the hostess about it and she said that if we want a waitress there is an added service charge. We were on three walking tours that day and we're exhausted so I didn't care about paying the service charge. We started off with Yorkshire, puddings and gravy. I'm from the US. I don't usually get to have a Yorkshire pudding so I wanted to try it. It's kind of like a popover with gravy. The Yorkshire pudding was okay but the gravy was delicious. I saved the gravy and used it for the next part of my meal. We both had fish and chips. Unlike the US when I ask for malt vinegar, they know what it was and had it right away. I can't tell you how often in the US I'm giving red vinegar. The the fish and chips were spectacular. The fish was crispy even after sprinkling on the vinegar. The fries were very nice. Not as good as blacklock but very nice. And I am fry snob. My wife ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I couldn't even finish my fries, so I passed.
