For the items they have on the menu in general, they are pretty hard to mess up, so I would say that everything that I have ordered was done properly, just not spectacular. I was satisfied with everything I have gotten, for a relatively reasonable price. I will say, though, that the mozzarella sandwich is slightly underwhelming because the vegetables around it seemed to just be placed there to be minimally edible. But the sandwich itself was pretty good, with mozzarella and balsamic vinegar constituting the taste. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, although it was slightly more expensive than the equivalent I have had elsewhere, maybe because the establishment was right next to the Tower of London, but that's okay. The food was solid and allowed me to have a good experience. For those around the area ready for a quick bite, and visiting the Tower of London, I would recommend this place.

Friendly staff and great food! Was my first time having a full English breakfast and everything on it was delicious!

Everything about our visit exceeded my expectations! A bit hard to find, but it was well worth it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was simply beautiful, and the gentleman host was a gem.

Quaint indoor restaurant near Tower Bridge and All Hallows Church.

A quiet indoor but airy spot next to All Hallows Church and the Tower of London. It was a perfect spot after all the school children and stories of torture and imprisonment. Fish and chips and an English breakfast warmed us up after a cloudy, damp morning. Service was quick, too.

This was our first meal of the day. The scrambled eggs were fresh and tasty. The eggs in the UK just taste better than in the states. The gamon was served cold, so of course I asked them to heat it up. It was fresh and a quality piece of meat. The other entree was a traditional English breakfast minus the blood pudding. We also had a mango juice which tasted like boxed juice and a Coke. The staff was friendly. They charged a 10% discretionary service charge.

Great atmosphere, breakfast is excellent! Beautiful hidden spot by the Tower of London. Staff is on top of everything and very pleasant. I highly recommend!

No reservation needed here which was good. It was an easy walk over the bridge. I had the English breakfast and the yogurt waffle. Food was good. I didn't care much for the waffle. I ordered it with just the fruits on top and no yogurt. I don't think the fruits were too fresh. I would've been better off with a plain waffle and syrup.

Stopped in for breakfast before my flight out of London. It was a few minutes walk from our hotel near the river. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside. My friend and I already knew what we wanted. I had English tea with English breakfast. My friend did the veggie breakfast. Both were delicious. I love having the beans for breakfast and the veggies. A little different from our typical American breakfast. The restaurant is cozy and cute inside. You can see everything outside around you. Great spot for grabbing some food if you're around the Tower of London.

Love this brand and all of their drinks.

This is a great spot across from Towers London. Inside is super cute and there is plenty of natural light. Flowers on all the tables give it a nice touch. The service is good, efficient but not overwhelming. The food is great! I highly recommend the fish and chips. It's perfectly battered and fried so it's crispy and light, and then lightly salted. The fries are delicious too.

Had a very enjoyable full English breakfast here after arriving from the States the previous day. Warm atmosphere and nice daylight to top it off, some great oldies music to complement the atmosphere. Wonderful food and service, highly recommend.

However, it was a whopping 93 GBP for 600g, which is meant to share between 2 people, but still not that much (refer to my pic). This is simply just too high of a price for this. Bone marrow and onions (12 GBP) - This was surprisingly good. Although the marrow itself didn't have much of a flavor, it was a nice buttery consistency to spread on the bread. The onions were cooked very well. Sticky Toffee Pudding (9.50 GBP) - This was more of a bread like dessert than a pudding, but was tasty and not overly sweet despite the toffee (which is good). The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service speed is pretty quick. The interior is decorated in a nice yet not too pretentious steakhouse style. There were still plenty of open tables available on a Sunday night. Overall, while the steak and food are very good, the steak is simply too overpriced to justify me getting it again. Maybe worth trying once but not twice. I would potentially come back for the other menu options though.

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

I just have to say in general, everyone at this hotel and pub are just extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I'm not that familiar with pub culture and apparently the way it works is that you have to go up to the bar to order your food. I asked the hostess about it and she said that if we want a waitress there is an added service charge. We were on three walking tours that day and we're exhausted so I didn't care about paying the service charge. We started off with Yorkshire, puddings and gravy. I'm from the US. I don't usually get to have a Yorkshire pudding so I wanted to try it. It's kind of like a popover with gravy. The Yorkshire pudding was okay but the gravy was delicious. I saved the gravy and used it for the next part of my meal. We both had fish and chips. Unlike the US when I ask for malt vinegar, they know what it was and had it right away. I can't tell you how often in the US I'm giving red vinegar. The the fish and chips were spectacular. The fish was crispy even after sprinkling on the vinegar. The fries were very nice. Not as good as blacklock but very nice. And I am fry snob. My wife ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I couldn't even finish my fries, so I passed. Overall a very nice meal and perfect for us as we were exhausted from walking all day and only had to go upstairs to our room afterwards.
