Found this place from reviews. Late lunch was pretty empty compared to the dozen places we passed on main roads that were busy. Sat outside in fabulous lil courtyard all alone. But after 10 mins we had to move inside due to the "smokers lounge" created by several rando ppl hanging around. Hristo was our server - so great with the recommendations and letting us sample an item. So much help. We got fish finger, focaccia sandwich - awesome fish, soft bread, delicious tartar sauce, and the chips were rockin, nice and crunchy. Also got the lentil soup (amazing - we fought over it) and salad (nice toppings) and grilled cheese (yummy) & added side of mac & cheese (super gooey & cheesy). Last my wife got the Hippie Bowl (decent but she loved all the other items more). Everything was so good, and we had so much food we were stuffed because we ate almost everything. Bill's gave me the pancakes I didn't know I was really looking for. Bill's was offering some Biscoff pancakes which hit the ball outta the park. They were delicious in all the right ways, the only item I was missing was some sort of savory compliment. Employees were kind and felt very welcoming. Overall a good spot for breakfast! read more

The ambiance here is amazing. We went for breakfast, it's easy to walk to in covent garden. Super cute space. It gives older gay men house vibes! Plants and cute things on the walls. Heck the radio was playing the theme song to The Breakfast Club! There's a brunch and a breakfast menu and my avocado toast was tasty and well made. My latte wasn't the best I've had in the area but it was doable and the food, atmosphere, etc made up for it. read more

This is my first time having an official English breakfast and I was not disappointed! The interior is so cute. It's like an elevated "Friends" living room. Late review for brunch that happened September of 2023. Jetlagged and feeling the side effects of my recent COVID vaccine, we commuted via an hour train ride from our Heathrow hotel to the Covent Garden. It was chilly walk from the Tottenham Court Road Station to London's West End. Now, being our first time in London, we were a bit excited to soak in the sites but we were also very hungry for brunch. I recalled that we waited around 15 minutes prior to being sat in our outdoor table. I would've preferred to dine inside the warm premises but I guess the hosts had other plans. Those precious minutes I spent snapping at the architecture around St. Martin's Courtyard. Drinks 1. Macchiato. Wife's morning dose of java 2. Trip Peach and Ginger. A CBD infused drink brought in a can but should've been served in a glass with a sprig of lemon or mint as described in the menu. 3. Rose Spritz. Bubbly for daughter 4. Hedgerow Fizz. Another bubbly for SIL. Food 1. Stack of Pancakes. Topped with bananas, strawberries and blueberries. 2. Eggs Benedict. Because my daughter and SIL are boring Americans. 3. Shawarma Breakfast Plate. My choice of a new dish to try. My mistake was I got the vegan without the chicken. No, we didn't get the Classic English Breakfast as we've had that before at the "authentic" Harry Potter's Leaky Cauldron in Universal Studios Orlando. But seriously, I wanted to, but my de-conditioned brain told me to eat my veggies. Also, our hotel was serving it with their complimentary breakfasts. Service was quick and the servers were attentive in all their British glory. But I would've preferred to be seated inside to a cozier and camera friendly atmosphere. Bill's offers online reservations with a convenient location, friendly staff and food served quickly. They have different sections for Breakfast, Brunch and the rest of the day sectioned into Nivvles, Smaller Plates and Mains, Salads and deserts. My wife absolutely loved they had an entire Gluten Free menu and she enjoyed her Chicken Shawarma. I tried the BBQ Bourbon Beef Burger which can only be described as disapointing. It's only available cooked medium or Well, and in typical British fashion, no matter how you order it, you receive it well done. But I get that is a cultural thing and Americans, especially who order more expensive beefs and cuts of high end steak, prefer medium rare. The about of BBQ Beef Biscuit which is supposed to top the burger would be measured at about 1 tablespoon- barely noticeable. It was, for me, mediocre in every respect, and the chips/fries, which Brits are famous for, were uninspiring. This place is very popular, and I wouldn't let this one review keep you from trying it out. I would consider going back for Breakfast but would not return for Lunch or Dinner. read more

I came here as my first meal in London to catch up with my sister. My sister made a reservation for 1:45 PM and, granted we were ~10 mins late, the hostess made a comment about us being late and that our table wasn't ready yet. We then waited another 10 mins for our table. During this time, a long queue formed out the door and I noticed that even though other people showed up for their reservations on time, they were still told their table wasn't ready, which left a lot of obviously frustrated customers even before stepping into the restaurant. FOOD: I personally ordered their Bill's Big Brunch and it was plenty of food for me. It was a classic English breakfast, nothing more or less. As always, the baked beans were my favorite part of the dish. You can't go wrong with this one! I will note that someone in our party ordered a steak cooked medium rare, but the steak came out medium/well-done, which was slightly disappointing. SERVICE: This particular location's service left much to be desired. Our waitress wasn't really friendly (or unfriendly), but we did let her know that someone at our table is gluten free and she mentioned she'd double check if the dish he ordered could be gluten free. We never heard back or saw her much after that and had to double check that the dish was indeed gluten free when they served it to us. To be honest, I felt like the staff wasn't attentive and didn't seem too keen on going above and beyond for customers. The food was decent, but service was mediocre. Given this, I'm not sure I'd return to this specific location again. read more

Cute restaurant with great and friendly servers. We came for breakfast and got a couple of different entrees to try. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. The sourdough toast was one of the best ive ever had. The butter was nicely salted and the jam was delicious. The English breakfast was standard and delicious. read more

Wait time: around 1pm on a Sunday in July, we got in without reservations with the caveat that we had to be out in an hour Price: super reasonable! This was one of our cheapest meals in the city, and we didn't even split anything. Food: my husband had the English breakfast and coffee, and I had the Hippy Bowl and one of their green juices. Everything was excellent. Staff: the staff looked a little overwhelmed, but cheerful enough! After we were done, there was a little queue forming outside. It was an amazing English breakfast anyone could ask for!! We all loved our meals, especially the fresh egg yolk that you can't find in the stages, the crispy bacon, and the rich hot chocolate!!! The staff was very attentive!! Perhaps it is the UK thing, they were extra careful with allergies. The staff asked and told us twice about allergies. They also spent extra time to explain about possible cross-contamination. My daughter got an allergy flag on her pancake that she took as a souvenir. It was crowded for a Sunday night. Two tables were vacated while we waited but they weren't cleared very quickly. We ate outside on the patio so I can't comment on the inside décor. As a tourist, I found the price of a hamburger and french fries to be high. It did taste good. I also enjoyed the Bill's beer which I would compare to a light beer in Canada. The menu stated that a tip of 12.5% would be added to the bill. The bill had the word optional next to the 12.5% tip. We waited a long time for the bill which didn't come without us flagging down a server. There was a further wait after we asked for the bill then we had to wait to get change. So there was no way we were going to ask for the amount of the tip to be adjusted. We specified that we wanted to pay separately when we ordered. But everything was put on one bill. I noticed in other restaurants in England that they don't know how to produce separate bills. Maybe the software used in the UK can't handle a request that's so common in North America. First off it's hard to get breakfast before 10am in Covent Gardens. We had a long day ahead of us and an early start. Totally expected to wander into a breakfast spot on a Sunday with no reservation but hardly anything was open besides Pret and A few bakeries. We found Bills and walked in without calling ahead. The hostess didn't have a spot really but snuck us in under the condition we were in and out in 45 min. Service was on point from there on. I had more than enough in a traditional English breakfast. This place reminds of being back in the states. Nothing really screams out london at you maybe except for the gin and tonic. They really take their gin and tonic seriously. Bill's even have their own gin distilled in house which is kinda cool. The lamb was super tender but the bottom of it was accompanied by a curry mash. They just had to weave in the indian influence even though dishoom was a few steps away and huge lines to boot. Steak was actually quite flavorful for a causal dining spot. read more

Bill's is right next to Covent Garden. It is delicately decorated. Just take your time to enjoy the small details. Servers were very friendly and efficient. We had the Full English Breakfast - SUPERB! ~$10. The portions were great -it does not come with beans which makes it a bit different to the Traditional but perfect for me that I dislike beans! The toast were made out of roustic bread, crunchy but soft in the inside, not the cheap toasts that you get everywhere. And the JAM... Specially made for Bill's by a French Farm. Oh My God!!!! The best Jam I had in my life! The Strawberry tasted as if I had a bunch of sliced Strawberries in my mouth. I will come back!! Cheers! read more

I had better breakfast and I had worst. I always enjoy spending time in a Bill's restaurant because I like the spirit of it. The decorations, the service, the menu... But this time I wasn't wooed by my plate. I choose to eat muesli with honey, yogurt, fruits and tea and it looked very good. The muesli itself looked like a homemade mix, with many different seeds/nuts and dried fruits. The fresh fruits were unfortunately not ripe enough and i had to use a lot of honey to wash out the taste of them. read more

So it probably was not the best idea to come here straight after all the free food samples we tried at a cupcake launch but even though we were quite full, it wasn't dinner and so off we went to Covent Garden. Yes. We're fatties. No, don't judge. I do this in the name of Yelp! and also i know what you're thinking ; cupcakes before dinner? Do you even know me? Desserts before dinner ALWAYS! I don't take the chance that I 'might' have space for dessert. That's a shit probability. Bills is located in st martins courtyard and the area actually been done up and made lovely with most restaurants having an outside patio. If only it wasn't raining. Anyways got there around 7.30-8pm and there was a half hour wait but given that we'd eaten beforehand, it's okay. I wished they had a bar seating area. I was getting parched waiting. Finally got sat down, under a MASSIVE three longed candlestick ( if you have a fear of fire and hair, move away now lol) ordered two bloody Mary's and a mezzo platter to share. The food, was standard. Sauces were nothing special, it's just a sharing board. But the lighting is pretty , if you're the fire sort of girl, which I am. :) ill be back for the cocktails - small selection but pretty cheap for London. I think we bombarded them when our group of 20 came in! According to my friends I ordered all the best stuff. I orders the sausages before my entree and it was delightful. Really nice to share. For my entree to ordered the clams in a creamy white sauce. I'm a big fan of seafood so I really enjoyed it. The presentation was also good- it came in a cute little pot on a plate of wood. The fancy drinks and floats there are also very enjoyable. Nice place for a date and is conveniently located in a nice small plaza. The only thing that went wrong was that when our food came out it came in different orders and some of us took others plates on accident which created a huge confusion. This might be a useful tip I consider for waitresses or waiters: seat numbers really help ! read more

Bill's is a cute homey restaurant decorated with their products so you can shop while you ate. And that's what I exactly did! I bought a few jams home to New York for friends & family. My friend & I had brunch here. The food is unbelievably fresh. Food is decently priced. They have apretty large selection as well. My first time at the wonderful Bill's. I've heard many good things about their breakfast, but we went for dinner and it didn't disappoint. The decor is an eclectic hosh posh of candlesticks and tissue wrapping paper, metal ladders and jars of goodies lining the walls. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. It's got food for friends down to a tee. The menu has all the basics - burgers, risotto, fish and chips, but with nice little twists, like the hummus and halloumi burger I had. Not bad Bill's. Not bad. I came here with some friends for lunch and loved the views from upstairs! It was a chilled, relaxing lunch with lovely food. My "lighter main" of marinated chicken skewers with tzatziki and cous cous was huuuge and really filling. So much so that I couldn't even contemplate dessert. My friend's food looked similarly lovely (and huge!) Service: This lets the place down for me...the lady that served us might have been in a grumpy mood (or maybe her 'resting' face was just naturally sour!?) She took such a long time to even allow us to order, then we thought she'd forgotten about our drinks because they took so long. When we checked if they were on the way, I felt like a naughty school girl. Don't cross your waitress here!! I think I'd like to come back, and just hope for a different waitress. :) read more

Stopped by on our last day in London for breakfast. My sister was determined to not leave London without eating a full english breakfast with beans. Unlike some of the other breakfast places in the area - this had no wait A+. The decor was super cute, the shelves are lined with jams and foods that you can purchase after your meal. As for the food, our family ordered: - Bill's Bread Basket (3.95): Came with a variety of breads and some jams - Bill's Breakfast (7.95): Sausage, Eggs, Mushrooms, bacon and toast. Super good! Definatly a must try. - Egg's Royal (7.95): Eggs benedict with smoked salmon instead. The hollandaise was to die for - Cumberland sausage served in toasted brioche roll (4.25): MUST TRY!!
