We stopped in for brunch here on a recent trip to London after wandering for a while. There aren't many brunch places in the area, but even if there were, Bill's is blowing them out of the water! They've really mastered the farmhouse feel, creating a cozy restaurant. We were able to walk in as a party of 2 around 10 AM on a Friday without a problem, but by the time we left, there were many people waiting all around the front entrance. Food was great and service was quick and efficient. Our food actually arrived before our drinks! Overall, highly recommend Bill's if you're in the area for breakfast. My only complain is that they have a large restaurant, but they've packed a lot of tables into it. Like I said, it was super busy, so totally understand they need the space, but it does feel a little bit like you're sitting on top of the table next to you. read more

I wouldn't have known about this spot had it not been on the London Marathon free burger list..but baaaa-by let me tell you....this would definitely be a return spot for me when I return to London. The ambiance is great. The waiters are fast and in sync with each other. It can be a casual vibe with a group of friends or a nice spot for a date. The burger...omg that burger was AMAZING. We absolutely loved Bill's the first time we were there. The food was great (still was this last time, mostly), but the server made all the difference. This time, it was more frustrating. For one, we were sat next to the ordering station, which we didn't mind, as it was right by the open door and a big table, which we prefer. But our waiter, who literally was there every minute or two, never once checked on us, forgot about our orange juice and coffee, and despite being right at the ordering station, had to be asked three times and a fourth by the manager to get our check. Plus we got to see a lot of the back and forth bickering between the manager at the front door (who was awesome) and the two servers who were on the floor. They weren't that busy that a friendly check in one of the two dozen times you stood next to our table should have been overlooked or basically being forgotten about was excusable. Last visit we were at Bill's three times. This time we only went the once. I'm sure we'll be back when we return in a few months. read more

The rest of the English breakfast was just ok, nothing horrible but probably something I wouldn't order again. Service was friendly but a little slow. I had dinner here with a friend on a Thursday evening. We had a drink (Prosecco £7.50) and some food (halloumi burger and Korean cauliflower). The burger was full of flavour and the only thing I didn't like was that it fell apart in my hands and I struggled to get the attention of the server to ask for more. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding and oh man I am glad I decided to do that. It was everything I missed about London ! Great ambience for dinner - lots of fun! I wish I'd come back for brunch the next day. The sticky duck salad was more of a lettuce wrap but it was so unique! Definitely a hit of the night and unlike anything I'd had before. Grilled lamb rump was a huge hit as well. Those are the best two items in the menu. Disappointing experience at Bill's.My daughter's chicken dish was a major letdown. The chicken had a strong, unpleasant odor, like it was past its prime. Unfortunately, the taste was even worse. It's concerning that expired ingredients might have been used. Hopefully, they'll take steps to improve their food quality and safety. We had a reservation and waited over 10 minutes at the check-in for someone to acknowledge we were checking in. The AC condensation was dripping on me every few minutes and I realized it had been doing that for a while since I saw the seat was water stained. Our server was lackluster and seemed more annoyed than helpful. We were next to the bar, where staff would repeatedly and hurriedly stack glasses and throw away bottles which was loud and distracting. The other servers often complained about their co-workers in next to us which set an odd mood. Bill's in Soho has an absolutely incredible ambiance and decor of elclectic fabrics and wood. The walls are smattered with paintings of game birds and patterned, safari- type art (possibly African influence). The coffee was great, the food was traditional British and it was just okay. I think if I was a bigger fan of British food I would have enjoyed more. There was construction in the front of the street that caused a ruckus the first half of the meal, but afterwards it was peaceful. I recommend this place for the ambiance and coffee, and had a great time there. The gluten free and dairy free options were scarce, but there were several great vegan options. We chose this place because of the high # of reviews and the modern European food category. What we didn't realize was how popular this place really was or how cheap the food would be. I got Bills breakfast and for £12.5 you really can't beat it. It's a traditional European breakfast with several different items such as bacon, beans, sausage, eggs, black pudding, toast, etc and it had me completely full. While I was in London, I ordered the traditional English breakfast at almost every restaurant where we had breakfast. Bill's was no exception. We ordered the Traditional Breakfast (with fried free-range eggs, Cumberland sausage, smoked streaky bacon, roasted plum tomatoes, mushrooms & toast). I really enjoyed the English breakfast as everything was absolutely delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Bacon and sausage were cooked right. Our fave London-SOHO Brunch so far! Easily found on our (Brewer) street, this casual country breakfast is in the heart of SOHO. We were seated quickly, and quickly served our first drink orders - even though it was prime Sunday brunch hours! The good service continued throughout our meal. Bill's Breakfast included fried eggs on toast, w tomatoes and mushrooms, thick full-flavored bacon, with tasty small sausage links. Perfect! My wife enjoyed the Scrambled Eggs w Bacon, which was served on toast and proved very filling for less than £5! Drink options ranged from coffee & tea, to soft drinks and shakes (try the Choco-Brownie Milkshake!), and limited cocktails (the Bramble Mojito will blow your Cuban mindset right into the English countryside!). It's a nice local's place (at least this location had no tourists but us). The decor is rustic and fun, it's clean and we were seated immediately. Overall the service was a little slow, but not horribly. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Bill's Breakfast, the Children's Buttermilk Pancakes, English Breakfast tea, a Flat White and a Hot Chocolate. My Eggs Benedict was pretty good - not as heavy as what I am used to in the States, but I still liked it. I actually only got to eat half of it - because my 6 year old polished off the second English muffin, ham and the deep golden poached egg on top! My husband liked Bill's breakfast, and we all shared my son's pancake, which was topped with powdered sugar, syrup and assorted (really good) fresh fruit. The food was delicious - simple, yet the good ingredients shined.
