Came for the winter festive high tea. Worst tourist trap ever. Inedible but very cute pastries. Great service and ambiance but if you come hungry, you'll leave hungry Appalled at how overcooked/burned one of my sandwiches were and they still served it

Another of the most anticipated activities on my London itinerary. Sketch consists of multiple concepts all within the same building and is most known for their three michelin star restaurant in the Lecture Hall and Gallery. Came to their Gallery for afternoon tea, a must while in London. Costs £79, or about $106. Walk in to sketch and you'll check in before being escorted to the space you have reserved. The Gallery is this grand, yellow/orange room that feels elegant yet whimsical at the same time. Upon finding your seat, you'll be presented with a menu of about 15 teas that are all carefully curated and prepared. You can have as many different teas and as much as you like. The menu also includes a list of the sandwiches and sweets you'll have as part of your experiences. 5 unique sandwiches roll out next. They're artfully designed and overall very tasty. Some I liked and some I really enjoyed. Sweets are next and consist of another 5 bites. They leaned fruit forward and my favorite was the yellow lemon square. The second tier of platform they are presented on consists of scones, jam, and clotted cream. Traditionally, jam goes on first. These actually might be the best scones I've had. Exterior has a bite of a bite but the interior was quite soft, which I really liked. Service was attentive. Didn't need to flag a waiter for anything. Ambiance is quite enjoyable and live music also takes place. The strings trio was very talented. If you can, peak into a couple of the other rooms are you enter or exit the facility. The bathrooms are also a must and consist of these individual, futuristic giant egg-like stalls.

Another fabulous meal! In addition to the Michelin 3-Star menu, for New Year's Eve the restaurant hosted a performance by the London Festival Opera. As always, the service was perfect.

Afternoon tea is an absolute must when you're visiting London! Sketch is definitely an experience... playful, artistic, and unlike any traditional afternoon tea in London. The moment you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into an art gallery where every detail is curated, from the whimsical decor to the beautifully presented food. I'm not sure if this was an every time thing, but there was an amazing string quartet that was also playing while we were there. The afternoon tea itself was truly lovely. The pastries were creative and delicious, and the sandwiches were fresh with interesting flavor combinations that felt modern without trying too hard. You can also request for refills if there was something in particular that you liked. The tea selection was solid, thoughtful, and well-curated, with enough variety as well as classics to suit different tastes without feeling overwhelming. Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance makes everything feel a little bit more magical. The bathroom alone deserve its own star - it was gorgeous, almost futuristic, and just as photo-worthy as the tea room itself. I'd highly recommend checking out Sketch if you want an afternoon tea that's fun, visually stunning, and not overly traditional.

sketch was a really cool experience overall. The service was amazing, and the whole place is super theatrical. Every room has its own vibe, and the bathroom is iconic. I mostly went for the atmosphere, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It's a very unique dining experience that isn't like any other offered in London. We went during the holiday season - The Art of Après - so the restaurant was extravagantly decked out with Christmas trees, snow-dusted decor, and over-the-top festive touches. I did afternoon tea in the Gallery, and you can get unlimited tea refills, which I liked. The food itself was just okay, especially for how expensive it is (£115 per person), but the whole experience feels very London and worth trying at least once if you want something a little different.

My friend and I went into the garden themed cocktail lounge inside of sketch. We ordered the espresso martinis which were incredible. Made with distilled coffee, hence no color. The ambiance was great and so was the service but we were taken aback when we got the bill. On our bill was an "optional donation" charge for about $3-$4. Totally fine, however, we were never given the option if we wanted to donate or not. We gladly would have but why is it "optional" if we weren't even given the option? Our drinks were amazing though and worth the $$.the bathroom was unique too which was a fun experience.

Upscale dining in a very trendy, eclectic, and modern setting. The staff and food are worthy of the price of admission. Heck, going to the bathroom here is worth the price of admission! One must definitely have this on their "must do" list when visiting London. Their menu varies quite a bit so plan accordingly.

Sketch was a great dining experience from start to finish. This was a highly recommended restaurant from my friend, and we were very excited to go. The rooms and decor are so beautiful, and the food was delicious! They have a really good kids meal, my kids inhaled the salmon fillet and truffle mashed potatoes. The steak and salad were all amazing here as well. The service was fast and friendly, and their prices are not bad for a fine dining experience in the UK. The bathroom here is pretty cute so check it out if you get a chance!

We loved the delicious cocktails, unique pastas, and the beautiful decor. The waitress was welcoming and knowledgable about both London and the menu. When we got to see the bathrooms, we were blown away.

I came for the forest bar and it was such a cool experience. I loved the ambiance and they had a variety of mocktails for my friend. I got the best drink! Most drinks are about $30 and up so I ordered one and sipped slowly lol. They give olives and some small crackers complimentary.

Went for holiday tea with girlfriends and we had a grand time. They had live music and a ballerina perform. Such a cute thing to do for visitors. Highly recommend!

What a cool experience! We dined at Sketch in The Gallery room on a Saturday night in May. You're greeted by a doorman, then a receptionist in the lobby-type area, then a receptionist in the restaurant, and then we had a food waitress to take orders, drink waitress to take orders, two busboys to deliver the food, and finally a manager process our bill. They're all dressed impeccably and quite friendly. I had the Sea Bass with Baby Artichokes and Prosecco Veil. It was light yet filling but could've used a bit more flavor. My friend ordered the Black Garlic Arancini and loved it. I ordered a martini and it was a bit small! See picture of it compared to my friend's red wine. I guess I expected a martini glass! We made our 6:30pm Saturday night reservation about a month in advance on Open Table so plan accordingly! I took off 1 star because the food is a bit overpriced.

Had the most amazing night here two weeks ago. Just go! The space itself is beautiful! We sat on the gallery room. Everything was exceptional. Food was delish! Service was top notch. Bathroom is fun ! Great way to start my trip in London.

Can you tell I don't get out much? At least for drinks. Anyway. We came here with some friends and took advantage of their 2 for 1 offer (meaning you get two drinks for 10 pounds). It impressed me that they served really good drinks for such a good price. I personally loved The Last Word (super strong but great flavour) and the Elderflower Margarita (YUM!). They both packed a punch but weren't so overpowered with liquor that they didn't taste nice. The bar staff was fun as well. The one that wasn't popular was the honey one. I can't remember the name but none of us liked it. It's a cool bar!

This was one of the few places the bf and I had booked to go to during a brief 3-day trip to London, due to the 2 for £10 cocktails and general good reviews it had. I kinda wish we hadn't! Upon arrival the place was practically empty (but it was like bang on 6pm on a Monday, so a lot of people hadn't arrived for happy hour yet) and staff showed us where our reserved booth was. All good to start off with, the place looks pretty cool inside and the tunes were good too. Here's where it starts to go downhill. I skipped up to the bar having decided with the bf which cocktails to get (at this point we didn't realise 2 for £10 meant two of the SAME cocktail, because they never mention it) and ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri for the bf, plus a Chocolate Martini for myself. Nope, couldn't get the one I wanted as they were out of chocolate liqueur, so it was back to my seat to try and decide on another. I was gutted but excited about my next choice, the Show Me The Honey. NOPE. They were out of honey vodka so I couldn't have that one either! I get that obviously it's a busy bar at weekends, but I thought that was an extremely poor show - the staff weren't hugely apologetic about it either which didn't exactly help. Finally deciding on a Russian Spring Punch (yay, they had all the ingredients for that one!) I ordered the drinks. The bartender said "you know it's 2 for £10 yeah?" but again didn't mention the fact that it's two of the same cocktail for £10. Once he started making up the drinks I of course caught on to what was happening, whereupon he looked at me like I was an idiot for not knowing something they never openly tell you. Great. I begrudgingly paid for our drinks (I wouldn't really have minded except the bf wasn't sure if he'd want more than one cocktail and we now possessed four, plus I was really wanting to try a couple of cocktails instead of two of the same one) and went back to the booth, more than a bit deflated by this point. The cocktails were...fine. The champagne in my cocktail wasn't the nicest but it did the job of course. The atmosphere in the bar was...also fine. But that was it. Fine. It stayed pretty quiet the whole time we were there and I guess just wasn't the whole cocktail bar experience I was expecting. We then made our way to Cahoots where we had an absolute belter of a time and it totally saved our night, goes to show that sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

I'm not sure how close this bar is to Brazilian nightlife, but to me this bar feels typically Brazilian in cadence. I just love the atmosphere, the enthusiasm, the music, you feel transported to another place and I just don't understand how very few people, even those living in Camden, don't know about this bar! I was introduced by a lovely Yelp friend and try and get back whenever I'm in Camden as I really love this place. To me this is one of Camden's real hidden gems. So why do I love it? Let me count the ways: Live music: I'm not sure if there is someone on every night, but I'm always shocked by them hosting some fantastic, extremely talented musicians. Intimate setting: As a tiny little venue you huddle around small tables, it feels cozy, personable and warm. Art work: Walls, ceilings and tables are plastered with art, pictures, paintings collages drape all surfaces. It's like some hipster arty underground cavern... like so many bars in Shoreditch are trying to achieve, but this place isn't trying, it has charm and personality without having to try. Caipirinhas and mojitos: Using traditional Brazilian ingredients the cocktails here are just superb... and after a few you can't help but sink back into your seat and enjoy the ambiance. I'd also recommend the Cuba Libra, I'm usually not a fan, but would make an exception here. As a cocktail bar you need to expect to pay cocktail prices, but the live music, amazing atmosphere and art are free.

Apparently the owners want it to feel like someone's living room and it definitely has a relaxed and locals-come-here vibe, although our seating area was in what was once a VIctorian police cell, which was probably less cosy back in the day. The interesting concept here is to serve small bites of food tailored to each house cocktail which a beautifully presented and explained, as are the cocktails themselves. We sampled almost all of the house cocktail menu and generally everyone was very impressed. I think several people really liked the park bench, with its strong apple flavour, although I personally found it a bit one-note. In fact, I wouldn't say any of the cocktails here got it quite right for my palate, some of the balancing of flavours didn't quite work for me and none of them particularly blew me away. They were pretty good, but there weren't any I found incredibly delicious and "incredibly delicious" is really what I am looking for in a cocktail. I had the Get Me a Bourbon, I'm Hungry and Lost in Alaska. The first was a short drink which wasn't massively memorable, contra my favourite ever bourbon cocktail, the fantastic bourborini once on the specials at Pitt Cue Co. Lost in Alaska I thought was nice although others said they thought it tasted medicinal! Service was great - helpful, patient and attentive. It's expensive, especially now I live in Manchester and can get better cocktails at the Fitzgerald for £4 less, but I would still recommend Knowhere Special, especially if you're nearby having dinner.
