Friendly staff and servers, delicious food and amazing view of the river, right next to the Tower. Restaurant was clean and well appointed, giving everyone a fantastic ambiance along with the food that's full of flavor.

Fantastic! Ordered flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce and the Coppa pizza. I have to say the pizza was absolutely fantastic and my husband enjoyed the steak. Management was lovely and addressed my food allergies. The ambiance is casual and it's a lovely place for lunch or tea

This was on our way to and from our Tower Hill hotel, also along the North Thames right at the Tower of London entranced & Tower Hill Uber Boat dock. Lovely flower filled globe igloo seating, also lots of outdoor tables but on our visits, especially in the evening, it was far too chilly & breezy to sit patio side. No worries, one night we sat at a nice little table for two in the main room, the next time at the bar. A Negroni fan, here they use the traditional Tanguery gin & something that we rarely see in the states, classic Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino.Torino. Flutters of activity all around, excellent cocktails, good enough food and a wildly delicious sticky pudding with honeycomb dessert, our first & favorite in London. The other food items were not memorable, but decent enough, and sometimes it just must be about location & vibe (and the cocktails) If you are in the area, you will notice Coppa..it stands out in many ways, size & the globes.. Staff is friendly, accommodating. Met a lovely couple from Nepal who work together and were always smiling.

We wanted to try this place and (party of 4) and was fortunate to snag an igloo reservation for brunch at short notice. We were promptly greeted and seated. The ambiance and décor add to one's dining experience. I definitely recommend the igloo setting - looks great in the daytime and even more heavenly at night with twinkle lighting in the outdoor area. Our server (young fellow) was amazing and on point with his recommendations (both food and beverage). I ordered the crushed avocado & eggs with a side of bacon and paired that with a tropical spritz. The ladies were all pleased with their food and drinks. Overall solid experience and I do hope to visit again - highly recommended for first time visitors to London.

This is a beautiful cafe located just across the walkway from the Tower of London. Their pricing is a little expensive for what it is, but given the touristy area, it makes sense, to some degree. They have some really cute bubble/pod style tables outside that we were hoping to sit in, but they are reservation only. This was a Monday at about noon, and they only had bar seating available. They claimed it did not have table service, but we definitely did. I had a cheeseburger as my entree and it was alright. They serve it pink, which was fine with me, but made it more of a fork/knife situation. Overall, this is a little overpriced, but I'm sure it's worth it if you get to sit in one of the bubbles with a great view of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the River Thames.

Amazing experience from start to finish. We started off on the outside patio by the water for some drinks. It was a hot afternoon and they were light and refreshing, and came out fast. The ambiance of the outside was absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset when the lights come on and the igloos are lit. We went inside for dinner as it got chilly and were served right away. The apps came out quickly and tasted very fresh. We got the burrata and the small antipasti plate which paired nicely together. The small antipasti plate came with a good size portion of meats for 2 people. For the main course I got the fresh bucatini carbonara, which I can highly recommend. The pasta was made fresh, was cooked to perfection and was covered in the most incredible carbonara sauce which was both light and decadent. As a plus, they were able to make a gluten free version for one of our guests which tasted just as fresh. The puddings were nothing special but tasted good. We got a flourless chocolate cake and the crème brûlée (gluten free). The inside of the restaurant and bar was as beautiful as the outside and the noise level was moderate to low. The servers were all friendly and attentive and made for a great dinner. Highly recommend and will certainly be back if I am in the area again.

This place is amazing. We had a perfect last night in London. The view is breathtaking. The pictures came out so beautifully with London Bridge lights up and The Shard building in the background. Not to mention food is so tasty, nice presentation and price is so reasonable. I had the pornstar martini and it was delicious! Service is great, the best we had so far in London.

Coppa is a nice restaurant on the Thames near the Tower of London. Food is good, service is fine and the atmosphere is pleasant. All and all it is the best option in area.

I love the concept of the restaurant to eat in these cute little igloos. Our server Joel was amazing and very helpful. The chicken and Caesar salad were very tasty along with the mule. If you are in the area o recommend that you try it.

I honestly was hoping to like a cover club a lot more than I did. I made a reservation for the igloos outside, which overlooks the London bridge, and there was only one time available so I booked it. When we arrived the outside area with igloos where it was empty and we were seated as soon as we got in but then the staff forgot about us. We were outside for about 20-25 minutes till I had to physically go inside and remind them we were waiting to place our order. Mind you the restaurant is closing in about 20 minutes. We placed our drink and food order since they were closing and again I had to go inside about 30 minutes later and remind them, we were waiting for our drinks and food outside. Apparently the system had a glitch in our food order was never placed. We finally got our drinks and her food came out about 20 minutes later. We are at a couple appetizers and two main courses and the food was not bad. We were not a fan of the drinks, but maybe it was just the types of drinks and ordered. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we asked for dessert, which also took a little while to come out. At this point the restaurant has been closed for about 30 minutes and we were one of the last people there. She did like the desert so that's a plus, but I had to ask them for a candle to be able to sing to her. After waiting almost an hour for food I would've thought the manager would at least of come out or we would have gotten a free appetizer or at least some acknowledgment. But it was like we were almost forgotten the whole time. I was very disappointed. Especially since the restaurant was not busy at all and was hoping for a special evening for my wife's birthday. But we were let down. The igloos outside are super cool and the view is amazing but the service really put a damper on her birthday. We still made the best of it.

Very beautiful and romantic atmosphere at the Coppa Club restaurant.

We were attracted to the Coppa Club because of the beautiful design of the igloos- such a great and romantic atmosphere and setting. We thought the food was very good, too. We began with the sourdough bread with the dates butter - amazing starter. Then for the main course I had the most delicious fried eggplants served with farmer's cheese, and fresh herbs. My husband opted for the Coppa burger and my son had the margarita pizza - both of their dishes were really good. My son's fiancé had the fried salmon fish cakes- she enjoyed her dish as much as we did ours. Overall the meal and the night was excellent.

I loved my meal- the flavors were perfect and I ate every drop. The menu is short and simple and you can tell it's one of those places which does everything well. The only downside is that I wish the portion size was bigger. I was one person and ate everything in the pictures attached- although I'm American and probably eat too much! The restaurant was kind enough to do a half size of the pasta to fill me up which was great to sample a bit of everything. It was al cooked perfectly and the spacing between dishes was great. The atmosphere is relaxing and super friendly. There were two huge groups of 10+ and the staff was quick to strike up conversations with their guests and to check in. I happened to have breakfast included and the nice thing was that you cook receive one cooked item from the menu which was so nice. The only downside was that you could not substitute a cooked item for a smoothie and the smoothie was the smallest thing ever with the biggest ice cubes so definitely not worth it. Otherwise, definitely check this place out!!

I think of it as Viajante-level cooking taken off steroids. Innovative combinations but faultlessly executed, not to mention at a fraction of the price. My favourites include grilled squid with romesco, seabass ceviche and most importantly the Iberico pork with "bread pudding". Words cannot describe how delicious the bread pudding is - I can only imagine that A TON of butter went into making it. Chunks of soft buttery bread stewed in a tangy tomato sauce. Ahhh. Go early if you don't want to queue, or make it a late lunch. Be sure to order the pork/bread pudding dish - you can thank me later.

I know, there have been rave reviews on a number of sites - I know. I saw them too. But what could possibly top the Corner Room? After last week's visit to the Typing Room, I will never doubt another restaurant decision made in this venue (and I hope there are many more!). You have to go to Typing Room. Right now. I don't even know where to start. There is a set menu, of course, but this apparently varies by the day. We went with a vegetarian friend, so if that is you - you will also feel the love. To begin, the set menu (whether you go for 5 or 7 dishes) all includes a group of "snacks". After a couple drinks at the bar and rearing to see the menu, I can't tell you how excited I was to have food arriving at the table without even having to think. And all of it...was just. so. good. And the bread. I'll be honest - I'm hit or miss with bread - sometimes it looks pretty good and it's still warm and a restaurant has some special sort of butter so I'm all over it. Other times it looks like it's been sitting in a corner of the kitchen for the past week. At Typing Room, the bread was a course in and of itself. I'm not kidding. Two types of bread with two types of delish buttery, chutney, goodness. More bread. PLEASE. By the time we got to the smoke deer roe, I didn't think I could possibly have another bite. But I had too - because the remaining two courses were too good to be missed. Service: Literally some of the best I've ever had in London. Everyone was so super friendly and knowledgeable about each dish. We never felt rushed and each course was given time to settle in. I can't rave about this place enough. 5 stars.

Not so with Typing room. We had the 7 course lunch and skipped the pairing in favour of a couple of glasses of wine. Setting is similar with the restaurant on the left with very open kitchen when you walk into town hall and a bar to the right. Chef was on premise supervising the kitchen which was nice to see for a weekday lunch. Lots of Beatles and classic rock playing which I enjoyed although one of the other patrons kept complaining about. Certainly didn't interfere with conversation. On to the food the starter you pick from 4 snacks. We had the basil profiterole which was ok but the star was the smoked eel. Then can crab and pea dish followed by cauliflower which were both amazing. The raw beef was topped with what looked like granola and neither of us liked that dish. Too sweet and needed an acid to bring out the flavour of the tartare. The fish course following was also a 5 star. Then the lamb which also was good but have had better. Confit belly was nice but the yogurt didn't add anything and the onions were over charred. Desert started with almond foam and lemon sorbet which was a great palette cleanser and then a very interesting chocolate dessert. Cake almost looks dried out but is the texture of freeze dried chocolate mouse. Very tasty. Overall a couple of misses in execution more than design that I'm sure won't take long to correct. I'd expect this place to get a Michelin star in the near future. The star dishes were well worth coming back for.

After a long day of shopping and sightseeing, I wasn't sure if I had missed the boat by not making reservations somewhere for Sunday Roast dinner. Seeing as I was staying in the Stepney Greene area and really did not want to go to the other side of town for dinner, I found Palmer's Restaurant on my Yelp! app and mentioned it served up Sunday roast dinner. I walked over and made it just in the nick of time, before their last seating. First of all, this is East London and as gritty and edgy as that may be, Palmer's restaurant can only accurately be described as a hidden gem lost among the housing estate and what not. The flavours were rich, and well balanced. The squash especially was very well done. On the downside, I found the atmosphere a little lacking- though it was interesting to be looking into office cubicles. I haven't experienced that before. The real reason for the three stars however is our waitress dropped our bottle of wine while pouring, smashing the glass she was pouring into, and spilling wine and broken glass everywhere. Being two Canadians we were very polite about it (eh), but I admit I was very disappointed when there were no reparations were made. Not only was a big mess made, with wine spilling on my friend, but we lost at least an entire glass of wine. I do feel that there should have at the very least been a fresh glass of wine brought to make up for the spilled one, or a free dessert offered, or a discount given on the (not inexpensive) bottle of wine we ordered. I would expect better service from a restaurant.

I had the tomato salad which was lovely, followed by some octopus peach combo that was really nice, and a great plate of grilled sardines. The atmosphere is lovely and the only reason I'm dropping a star is the service could have been faster (it wasn't always the smiley waitress serving us) and the bench seat, although really cool to look at, isn't very comfortable to sit on for any period of time spanning a dinner.

Cuttlefish ragu (22 GBP) - Pretty good although I couldn't really tell there was much cuttlefish in there. The ragu tasted lighter than usual with a lightly crunchy texture. The spaghetti was cooked well. Duck leg (32 GBP) - Very well cooked duck leg and the mashed potatoes on the side with the sauce was surprisingly delicious.
