This place was a relatively short walk from our hotel and my parents wanted to try English Breakfast, so we found this place. It is cheap yet plentiful for breakfast. The tables were a little small but that might just be my jacket taking up a lot of room. I got set 4 with no substitutes and a hot coffee, which was nothing special but hits the spot. The food, like the others have mentioned, is a bit bland but that's what the ketchup and other condiments are for. I was very full and my parents left satisfied so I would call this a win. I wouldn't make a trek to try this place but if you're in the area for breakfast, I would suggest stopping by in the morning. read more

Cheap, cheerful, and extremely popular traditional London cafe, with a loyal clientele. Just down the road from Lambeth Palace and the Garden Museum, the cafe is located in a former pub. Aficionados of "Passport to Pimlico" will recognise the location as being opposite the bombsite at the beginning of the film. They serve a range of traditional English breakfast options, and lunches, which include sandwiches, baked potatoes, and omelettes, as well as fry ups, you can have all day. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but I'm not sure if any are vegan. Service is quick and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. Some of the serving staff are very pleasant and smiley, others less so. But it remains extremely popular at all times of the day. (NB. They are not open in the evening.) read more

Small looking dinner type place. People were lined up to place their order at the counter before sitting down. We sat down first, and a person took our order at the table. He then left carbon copies of our orders on the table. My husband had the Olympic Breakfast, which had a lot of beans, mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes, and sausage. I ordered a pancake breakfast that had three cakes with syrup on top, scrambled eggs, ham, and sausage. My child had a cheeseburger and fries. I would love to give this place more stars, but the food was bland to me. I asked for more syrup for my basic pancakes to give it more taste, but it didn't help. I at least had ketchup to add to my eggs. I thought it was just me, but my husband said he needed to add hot sauce to his meal. Even the orange juice didn't taste like oranges. The server was hard working and nice. Locals seem to love this place. read more

We were in the hunt for a traditional English breakfast our first morning in London, and stumbled across this cafe just a 10 min walk from the Eye! It was quaint, but busy on a Saturday morning, and offered seating inside as well as outside on the sidewalk. The menu is huge, and allows substitutions/ a la carte options, so you can really customize your meal. We started with an americano and a latte - both were prepared nice and strong. The Hale and hearty plate came with everything under the sun and could've fed 3 people. The sausage that came with both meals was crazy good and the eggs were cooked perfectly! Lovely little cafe nearby various attractions. The food was affordable, and everyone was very welcoming. I ordered the tuna mix jacket potato, and oh! My God. It was massive. It could have fed 10 families. My husband got the egg burger and chips. Simple ingredients that make a fine and hearty meal. I'm sad I couldn't finish it. This is a cute little cafe in the Waterloo area of London. We stopped by for breakfast while playing tourist in London. It is a smaller place where seating can be a little cramped when full. It is self seating (as opposed to hostess seating) and we ended up standing around waiting until someone left. While it does have table service, you have to pay at the cashier on your way out. They had a pretty extensive menu where you have many options to customize your food with different meats and sides. They also offered a large variety of coffee drinks. We ordered cappuccinos which were excellent. For food, we ordered the Spanish Omelet and a few customized versions of their English Breakfast. Food quality was very good in general but I found my Black Pudding (English Blood Sausage) extremely dry, even crumbly. Overall a good, solid choice for a quick, quality breakfast while on the run. read more

This is my first trip to a cafe since the lockdown, but colour me impressed! The menu that had was simply staggering. The prices were reasonable. The food itself was pretty good. And, as a bonus, they allow pick-up orders in a effort to prevent COVID! Long story short, this place is amazing. Very good all around. We went there for breakfast since it was right down the street from our hotel, and the place far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself has a very quaint "neighborhood restaurant" vibe to it, and our server was very friendly and welcoming even though we had never been there before. The food is what makes this place, though. The portions were very filling, and I loved their English bacon (which is more like a slice of ham instead of the bacon we have here in the States) ... it went really well with the grilled tomatoes and the baked beans, which apparently are staples in an English breakfast. Came back a second time on my last day in London. The place was packed with locals, and this time I ordered poached eggs over toast and coffee. Parking can be a bit tricky since there are so much road closures around for construction sites and road repairs, but not a far walk from the Waterloo underground. The food was delicious, i had the Veg.1 which was a couple of eggs, chips, tomatoes, beans, and onion rings. Back in February 2017 after traveling from Budapest to London by plane and train and slowly getting hangry. I wanted to have an English Breakfast! My wife looked up The Corner Cafe and we walked there from the Purple Line before heading to our rented apartment. Oh the English breakfast was good! I devoured it! If you are looking for a Cafe weary travelers and suffering from being hangry, please go here! The food was ready soon after we ordered it. It was the most honest meal I had after traveling nearly 10 hours.
