We decided to hear it as it was nearby the hotel we were staying and they had the hours that accommodated our schedule. We were very glad that those two items brought us to this place... A very welcoming and homey decor greets you at this place and the folks working here are friendly and let you sit where ever you want. After we did so, we enjoyed what there was to offer. My wife had their Eggs Hollandaise while I enjoyed their British Breakfast, it was served hot, fresh, and fast which speaks a lot to their service as attentive as it was. I'd probably not try and squeeze in more than 4 but you could certainly have more people, just at different tables. The food is delicious! Everything has always been hot and fresh and wonderful. We were looking for an English breakfast spot before we left Kensington & found Liz. A small and cozy cafe which is making scratch made dishes. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. We ordered a couple of Cappuccinos and ended up adding an extra shot as it was closer to a Latte. Although the English breakfast sounded really good we ended up not ordering it & instead went with a Salmon Benedict, Bacon Benedict & Salmon/Scrambled eggs with toast. All with a side of Cumberland Sausage. The Hollandaise was quite rich and plentiful. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection. Bacon, Smoked Salmon & Sausage were all tasty. My hotel, the Dorsett nearby, wanted £15 for their breakfast buffet. No thanks! Luckily Liz Cafe is less than half a block away with a variety of breakfast dishes under £7. Friendly staff and charming and cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately, as with every European cafe, the outdoor seating area is always overrun with smokers. But luckily there is seating right by the windows. £ 6.50 Salmon Eggs Benedict £ 6.25 Bacon Eggs Benedict £ 6.50 Full English Breakfast Shepherds's Bush is not a tourist area, so lots of locals do eat here. For my first food stop in London, we visited this cute cafe in Shepherd's Bush. We were very pleased with our food. My girlfriend had a full enough breakfast, I had smoked salmon and eggs. Conveniently located near Dorsett Shepherd's Bush and Shepherd's Bush Green. It is a very cute cafe which seems to be family-owned and operated. Love the rustic tables and simple yet decor. We stopped in for a late breakfast (1pm) after we checked out of our hotel. English Breakfast was really good (and decently priced at £6.50) and the chicken and mozzarella sandwich hit the spot. We went there to get our mandatory English breakfast, and they even still served breakfast when they'd already started serving lunch! They also only use free-range eggs! The coffee as well as the English breakfast were delicious and very reasonably priced, especially since everything was very qualitative! Liz Cafe is a pleasant enough place, and a welcome addition to Shepherd's Bush. But it doesn't really mark itself out as being above average in any way. Their strongest offering is probably their sandwiches, which are made with sourdough bread and tasty fillings like goats cheese and roasted vegetables, but they're also quite expensive, at £4.50-£5. Their coffee is possibly slightly below average. It's also quite expensive and their flat whites are, well, a little flat. Watery even. That's almost the problem: much of Liz Cafe (such as the facade, interior, coffee machine, grinder, prices) hints at a strong product, but the reality is more average. That's not so bad, and better than many cafes in the area. Just not quite as good as one might expect based on looks alone. Hummingbird Deli, on the other side of the green, is a far stronger bet for coffee, cakes and food. read more

This is a hidden gem. The neighborhood around might not be the best, but the service here is really good. My friend and I went here two times. We got the Eggs Royal, Benedict, and the Traditional English Breakfast. They were all very flavorful. Each dish is around ~£7, which is a great deal in London considering the prices. Nothing too amazing. I don't think the photos presented here did a good job showing what we got. My parents and I came on a Wednesday morning for a little treat before exploration. Service was nice as I tend to love a place where you pay before you eat. Always nice not having to settle the bill when you're trying to get in and out right? The English breakfast was good but a little conservative. The coffee was strong and black but no nice designs like in the pictures (both on yelp and outside!) The eggs Benedict were good but a little bland. It's not hard to mess up a hollandaise sauce and they didn't impress. When I was researching our trip to London, I was pleased to find good reviews of Liz Cafe, a literal two minute walk from our hotel. When we got into our hotel, jet-lagged and starving, we hit it up first thing. It did not disappoint. It does a fine English breakfast (with delicious toast made from house-baked bread) for a reasonable 6.5 pounds. Its orange juice is freshly squeezed, and great sandwiches and dishes like lasagna can also be had. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband enjoyed his Americanos. It's definitely still more of a local place as the hotel hasn't been open that long. I have a feeling that's going to change, though. read more
