Vegan breakfast
Michelle L.

While staying in London, Hammersmith for the night we wanted to find a good place to have breakfast before our flight. Well, this place is not vegan they do have a great vegan breakfast option. I got a café latte with vanilla, which was delicious and I got the vegan breakfast. I love the little sausage the hash brown triangle. The piece of toast with tofu on it was also good guy stole some greens from my moms play as she got the smaller toast and added it to mine. Such delicious, good vegan food. Glad they have an option. Would 100% come back. The ambience and decor is cute too and the servers are very nice.

Always a cute slogan on their signs out front.

I'm a bit torn about this place. It's really nicely done with wooden benches and earthy decor, but staff were reeeeaaaalllyyyy slooooooow. They're friendly enough but really not attentive, it takes ages to even be handed a menu. I also had the feeling they weren't listening very well, ordering was a very slow process with many repetitions. When the food did arrive, it was fantastic. I ordered eggs Benedict and they were perfectly poached, plenty of ham, delicious sourdough bread. So the food was awesome. However, my smoothie was terribly watery and tasteless. I get the feeling this place could be a hell of a lot better than they are if the staff would step up their game. Unfortunately, the way it is, I feep I can't rate them higher than 3 stars.

Goats cheese sandwich on sourdough bread

Cozy interior, sweet staff and fresh menu. I love all places serving all day breakfast and brunch!! Ordered cucumber-pineapple juice and a goats cheese sandwich. It was such lovely weather so I sat outside and enjoyed my meal. Fresh and filling! Next time I'll bring a friend and go for French toast xxx

My mum arrived in Hammersmith at lunch time, having spent an extra four hours travelling due to a…read moredelayed plane, and was understandably hungry. Which offered me a perfect opportunity. Having lived here for nearly two years, I've walked past Antonia's very, very often. And almost every time I do, I think about going in and giving it a try, but never do. So this time, it was a perfect solution. And I'm very glad i did visit! The food was delicious, fresh, health and vibrant. I had a butternut squash, feta cheese and pine nut salad - a very simple plate, but something I would never have done on my own, and which was delicious. My mum had an equally tasty tortilla, and we shared some bread. Not a hefty meal for either of us, by any means, but as I'm not fond of heavy lunches, this was perfect. The prices were pretty decent too - and would be even more so with a taste london card! The only thing preventing me from giving it a full five stars was one slightly un-smiling waitress. Mostly, the service was fantastic, but the waitress who served us our food and was at the till when we paid didn't really make eye contact and barely cracked a smile the whole time we were there. Which was a shame really. But I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she was just having a bad day - I'm definitely still going to go back sometime anyway!

Free wifi to while away the day (good value coffee), fast service for a quick lunch (nicer than a meal deal from boots) and licensed if you need a post work refreshment or early dinner. Definitely go here. Soon to have a taste London deal apparently - that will be a steal.

I became really fond of kicking off my Sundays with a proper bakery brunch. This week I visited…read moreHammersmith for some of its famous wunderbread. The game plan was to follow the savouries with the sweets while engaging in some casual sketching. The charming lady was happy to provide some butter to have with the bread (£0.20/portion) and so I went on to pick my stuff. Starting with the most aromatic, delicious pretzel I know Bakehaus was a hit. And so the rest of the goods tasted great with the highlights being the Butter-nut Crest, Bienenstich Pastry (vanilla and almond) and Chocolate-Hazelnut Crocant(delectable!). I have spent a solid hour in there and had a very relaxing start for the day, recommended!

Ask a German living outside of Germany what they miss the most about home and I guarantee you that…read morethey will almost always mention the bread. I do not have such strong ties to German bread, but my time in Berlin has taught me how to appreciate a good pretzel (with butter if necessary, not mustard, you heathen!). Bäkehaus isn't quite as gemütlich (or cozy) as your favorite neighborhood bakery in Germany since it's all self-service, but it gets the job done. The pretzels were soft and chewy and surprisingly enough, reasonably priced! Bäkehaus also offers loaves of rye bread and a plethora of sandwiches with a German twist (I spotted a pork schnitzel sandwich with cranberry sauce on ciabatta for £3.99!), so why not grab something here for lunch instead of opting for a pricey sandwich from Pret or a sad sandwich from Tesco? It's located on the high street just minutes away from the Tube station, so you really don't have an excuse.
