The pretzels were soft and chewy and surprisingly enough, reasonably priced! Bäkehaus also offers loaves of rye bread and a plethora of sandwiches with a German twist (I spotted a pork schnitzel sandwich with cranberry sauce on ciabatta for £3.99!), so why not grab something here for lunch instead of opting for a pricey sandwich from Pret or a sad sandwich from Tesco? It's located on the high street just minutes away from the Tube station, so you really don't have an excuse.

Big mistake. All the savory crepes we ordered (variations of different cheeses, ham, bacon, potatoes, and other great ingredients) were exceptional but there was no way I could eat more. I cannot say enough about how delicious they were. I had one with bacon strips (smoky and delicious), with Gruyère, and a sunny side up egg on top. It was my way of finding an American bacon and egg breakfast here. I was not disappointed (but may be back home now). I will be back to try the sweet crepes next.
