Espresso goodness

New place just behind hammersmith broadway at the top of Fulham palace road... Australian run coffee shop that has sprung up and currently runs odd hours.. You should be good for the morning and afternoon but some evenings and weekends you have extra hours as they switch into being a little bit if a bar.. They use Nude Espresso beans and they make a great coffee which is something the part of hammersmith is lacking.. A welcome addition to home turf..

Little coffee shop close to Hammersmith station . Staff very warm and welcoming. Stopped for a flat white but as you know I am a kaffeine addict, but this time i was very disappointed, coffee very bitter but I will be back to try again !!!

Wonderful mocha

Love a stop to antipode. I'm willing to go west a stop and then east by two on the tube just to get a mocha! The drinks are top notch and always come with wonderful art. My go to is the salmon smash, but I'll often take a croissant or two home for later. The staff are also kind, and very friendly. Nothing wrong with grabbing a drink and relaxing while studying maps of Australia...

Upon walking in the entire staff greeted me even though they were busy up to the door! Their smoothie sounded delicious (trying to cut back on caffeine), and they even let me personalize it with coconut milk instead of apple juice. Thick and delicious! I can't wait to come back and keep exploring the menu.

I like their sense of humor

Cute cafe with two good looking/ friendly staffs Walked in here to grab a latte and it's looking good so far. Loving the interior design and choice of music they play here.

Best coffee in Hammersmith and surrounding areas in my opinion. Treat yourself and get off one stop really on the 211 / 295 before work and start your day off right with a visit.

Shashouka and Salmon avocado smash,

I became really fond of kicking off my Sundays with a proper bakery brunch. This week I visited…read moreHammersmith for some of its famous wunderbread. The game plan was to follow the savouries with the sweets while engaging in some casual sketching. The charming lady was happy to provide some butter to have with the bread (£0.20/portion) and so I went on to pick my stuff. Starting with the most aromatic, delicious pretzel I know Bakehaus was a hit. And so the rest of the goods tasted great with the highlights being the Butter-nut Crest, Bienenstich Pastry (vanilla and almond) and Chocolate-Hazelnut Crocant(delectable!). I have spent a solid hour in there and had a very relaxing start for the day, recommended!

Ask a German living outside of Germany what they miss the most about home and I guarantee you that…read morethey will almost always mention the bread. I do not have such strong ties to German bread, but my time in Berlin has taught me how to appreciate a good pretzel (with butter if necessary, not mustard, you heathen!). Bäkehaus isn't quite as gemütlich (or cozy) as your favorite neighborhood bakery in Germany since it's all self-service, but it gets the job done. The pretzels were soft and chewy and surprisingly enough, reasonably priced! Bäkehaus also offers loaves of rye bread and a plethora of sandwiches with a German twist (I spotted a pork schnitzel sandwich with cranberry sauce on ciabatta for £3.99!), so why not grab something here for lunch instead of opting for a pricey sandwich from Pret or a sad sandwich from Tesco? It's located on the high street just minutes away from the Tube station, so you really don't have an excuse.

After wandering in the forest the whole day, we needed some hot coffee before sitting down to…read moredinner. Standard problem, post 6:30pm in a Saturday, none of the coffee shops in the area were open. So we started walking, while looking for an Italian restaurant (they do serve coffee after dinner, right?) We just happened to find Cafe Maya at the Polish cultural Center before we found an Italian restaurant on this street and headed in. They have a ton of Polish dishes on their menu and there is a more upscale Polish restaurant upstairs. Cafe Maya operates as a self service cafe, but it has beautifully cosy interiors. Hot meals meals from the kitchen are delivered to your table, but you order and pay first and pick up your drinks and cakes before you sit down. We tried lattes and flat whites and were very very happy. We also tasted a chocolate and cheese cake for the first time in our life and never realised how well the flavours go together. Almost like a cream cheese frosting taste, but baked along with the cake. Not sure I'm explaining this well, but you have to try it! We didn't try any of the food as we had reservations elsewhere with friends, but I'd love to go back to taste their food too.
