Great little place for a coffee. Lots of barristers and baristas

Fantastic coffee Very busy and limited space There are lots of barristers and baristas which is fun and confusing at the same time There is a downstairs with plugs and toilets If this place were a movie it would be La Dolce Vita as the coffee here is a taste of the good life

An unexpected, semi-hip decent coffee shop in the thick of it. I ended up there, having needed to park my Santander bike to avoid the charge. A decent cold brew, some friendly sassy staff and a good chocolate cake made me happy I stopped in. It's always nice to find a place in Europe that cares about the bean and isn't turning everything into espresso.

Great coffee! Friendly staff. Never had any of the food but if the coffee is anything to go by it should be pretty decent.

Amazing lattes. I stayed in London for a couple of weeks and this is the best coffee shop in the area.

Decent solid coffee, but lacking character (and that's what I'm basing my rating on). Amazing Red Velvet Cake.

All during my trip throughout the United Kingdom, my lady and I stayed in guest houses that…read moreincluded breakfast. And, of course, most of them were the Full English kind (made vegetarian). None of these homemade breakfasts made with love (or at least putting up with tourists) came even close to the one I had the first day off the plane at this coffee shop. Located in the middle of a row of hotels and hostels in a basement a slight walk from the British Library, this place is a treat. There are two comfortable rooms of varying side bar stools and tables with cafe service. We were able to sit and drink lots of English Breakfast tea with (lots of) sugar in an attempt to get over jet lag. They provide the adorable little tea service that many other coffee shops do in an atmosphere conducive to studying or chatting or pretty much anything but sleeping. The prices are wonderful for the giant portions they offer on their Full English. The 6.95 we paid for food made it possible to completely skip lunch. I would have loved another veggie sausage since they was delicious (I actually got an extra one because I requested no mushrooms and they will make substitutions) but it's not like my stomach needed it. My lady could not even finish her delicious halloumi cheese sandwich. While I will probably not have a chance to frequent this place ever again, I can't recommend it to locals looking for breakfast and tea enough.

It's a great place to hang out, meet new people and catch up on the latest hot news. Coffee is good…read moreand the variety of sandwiches is great!
