This is an exceptional English breakfast. This was my 2nd day in London & my 2nd breakfast. I will say it was the best & I can't imagine having a better one than this. I attempted to finish the plate but it was just too much for myself. Sharing is caring & if you're American please consider sharing. We like big portions but trust me it's too big. The latte was exceptional as well! If this is on your list, do not hesitate in coming.

Terry's Cafe is everything you want in an English classic. After reading about it on Yelp and other places online, we knew this had to be our destination for our day 1 full English Breakfast and it did NOT disappoint! We all ordered a variation of the full English breakfast and all food included was absolute perfection. To drink, I had an amazing oat milk cappuccino, while others in my party had spicy bloody Mary's or Pimm's cups. The location is quite small, so seating is a little tight, but manageable. I spent the entire time looking around at all the fascinating memorabilia on the walls from way back. Service was fine, but nothing particularly special, but nothing to complain about either.

After trying the Regency, I came here for part two, hoping to complete the trifecta of infamous breakfast places in London. "The Works" (the full English) seemed slightly too much for me, so I opted for one rung down the ladder and got "The Blowout" which was perfectly sized for me that day. Two free range eggs, bacon, Cumberland sausage, bubble & squeak, grilled tomatoes... though you do get a choice with the sides. The staff smiles and is incredibly friendly. Be sure to enter the door on the left side, as the right is coffee and pastries take-away only (I think). The food and drink may take a while to get to you, but with good reason. Everything is so tasty! The couple next to me were tourists, also having seen Terry's on the YouTube, but there were plenty of locals there as well. Once again, maybe I got lucky, but I was seated pretty much right away. A bit of a journey to get to, maybe, depending on where you are staying or going, but well worthwhile.

This place came highly recommended. So we made a point of coming here. They had the chicken pie on special today. So I ordered one. The table also ordered the traditional breakfast, and a sandwich. Everyone seemed to really like their food. I thought my chicken pie was very good. Simple, but flavorful. Reasonable portions, service was good. Place was "cozy". Lot of memorabilia on the walls. Very quaint.

The Works English Breakfast with a cup of lemon ginger tea

Coming all the way to London I was promised the best English Breakfast. I don't know if this is the best English breakfast but it was certainly very impressive. Once we arrived we were seated inside a cute cafe. They had outdoor seating as well. A friendly waitress came with water and told us in order to get the menu we needed to scan the QR Code on a card on the table. They had an impressive selection of different English Breakfasts. After debating whether I could finish it or not I got "The Works". This included 3 bacon, 1 egg, 1sausage (bubble and squeak), 2 blood sausage, beans, grilled tomato, and hash brown. I also had a ginger lemon tea which was refreshing and cut the fat of the breakfast. So first off the best part was the bacon which was more like a cross between thick cut bacon and Canadian bacon. The sausage was ok but the texture inside was softer than I'm used to. And one day I need an Englishman to tell me what good blood sausage is supposed to taste like. So far of all I can tell is that the texture is crunch on the outside, creamy on the inside. The egg was nice. The beans and mushrooms helped to provide a different flavor and texture. Same with the tomato and hash brown. I do recommend it as it's a cute place.

Welcoming neighborhood spot for breakfast, wonderful to avoid overhyped tourist spots with great service! Cozy and thoughtful with a historical touch!

It was great met the owner and learn the history of the area and the restaurant.

I traveled all the way from Californian to eat at Terrys! I even got to met the owner and have coffee with him. Cute and fun location and restaurant! One of the highlights of my London trip. I even got a T-Shirt, one of my favorite souvenirs of my London trip. I got there early and ate breakfast with the locals. They sent me off for a day of exploring London on a full stomach. Best coffee I had in England

If you want the full-English breakfast experience, Terry's Cafe is the place. "The Works" comes with it all: sausage, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, bubble and squeak, bacon, and blood sausage. The atmosphere feels very traditional while providing a cozy ambiance. Definitely recommend checking out Terry's!

This place had a pretty good reviews and lived up to it. Nice small local place set up with very friendly staff. We all ordered " The Works" and it was great. Recommend if you're looking for an authentic English breakfast restaurant.

It's a bit out of the main tourist area of London but if you want to go to a place that's quintessentially British. If you're looking for the classic Full English breakfast this is the place to go. The décor is charming, the service is friendly, and the food is just what you'd expect. Worth a walk or taxi ride.

As a first timer, I really wanted to try the authentic English breakfast and I was lucky that my Airbnb was walking distance to Terry's cafe! I really enjoyed the hospitality and amazing food! I love this place so much that I couldn't leave London before going there on my last day in London. This is a must try if you want an exquisite British experience. The interior decor is so unique and cute with frames of old pictures covering all the walls. Overall, if you're looking for a traditional English experience, this is the place to go.

I was visting London so naturally I had to get a full English breakfast. While I was waiting in the queue, I was offered a tea by someone else waiting out front. About a week later, I was taking a peak at their Instagram I found out he is the owner! What a gentleman! I wanted to return that small act of kindness by writing this review. Of course, the food was fantastic as well so that helps. The sausage was my personal favorite of everything on the plate. I left full and happy so I would HIGHLY recommend Terry's Cafe.

Coconut shake and the Hamlet breakfast platter.
    Marley C.

Small but charming restaurant. I went on a weekday morning and was able to get a seat at a shared table right away. I started with the coconut milkshake, which was the perfect size and had a pleasant ice-slushy consistency. Then I got the Hamlet, which was delicious but I was a little surprised that toast is not included. Overall a nice place to go if you want a fancy, good quality English Breakfast that won't break the bank.

He had looked up restaurants that served a full English breakfast, and Kennington Lane Cafe was highly regarded, and it happened to be a few minutes away from our B&B. We loved our breakfast so much that we went back a second day. What I liked about the menu was that is was easy to create exactly what you wanted. You could order a set breakfast (and easily add on extra sides), or you could pick and choose what you wanted, and make the breakfast as small or as large as needed to match your appetite. The breakfast I created had a small steak, fried mushrooms and tomatoes, and bubble and squeak. Delicious! I don't have an itemized bill of exactly what we ordered and the price of each item, but the totals on my credit card bill are £20.89 the first day and £20.50 the second day, and each bill included breakfast and coffee for two. Essentially, you can get a full breakfast for £10 -- a fantastic deal. [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; London, England; Poor and hungry?]

My friend and I stumbled across this cafe en route to an event and dropped in on our way home to try it. We both had a cup of herbal tea and I had a slice of cake. Staff were really friendly and it was a nice spot to spend an hour or so. The cafe also has various items for sale including plants, crockery, candles and kids items, however I found they were priced pretty high. This is why I dropped a star on my review as I found it was on the pricier side. Tea was £2 and a slice of cake/cupcake/pastry was £3. I did enjoy my tea and cake and the cake was homemade but it was a bit of a small portion to justify the £3 price. However I appreciate the vicinity of the cafe probably warrants the price and it is in quite a touristy area with the London Eye a 5 min walk away. The cafe has been there 4 months and it makes a change to visit a local business vs a chain cafe, hopefully it is here to stick around. So give it a go! Hopefully they will become a bit more generous with the portion sizes!!
