Waffle (and so much more).

I don't even know how to describe how amazing g the food is at Half Cup. We went twice during 3 days in London, does that explain enough. First visit I had the cauliflower with whipped miso tofu. Was so excited to have a savory breakfast that doesn't involve cheese or eggs. Delicious! Great seasoning and textures. Next visit was the waffle. Wow, I called it my fairy princess breakfast. I ate every speck of it. Wheelchair access (manual wheelchair) was okay. I was able to tuck my knees under the table both at inside and outside seating. Didn't look for the restroom. Door was propped open so no worry there. People who use larger power wheelchairs might have a hard time if it's crowded. I'm excited to go again someday!

Fresh, fun, great brunch spot in Kings Cross! They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait a bit during peak hours. Small cozy spot with beautiful ambiance. Efficient & quick service. Everything is super instagrammable and aesthetically pleasing. We ordered the Turkish Eggs with bacon, the Hash Benedict with ham, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle and the Stuffed Croissant with Halloumi. The Turkish Eggs was so flavorful and the best thing we ordered at Half Cup. The Chicken & Waffle is also yummy! The hashbrowns are worth ordering on the side as well. As for drinks we ordered flat whites, dirty chai latte, lattes and orange juice. It was good enough that we came twice for brunch during our short trip!

Came here for breakfast. Staff was friendly. Good potion size. The smoke salmon was good. The chicken and waffle wasn't that great. The chicken was overly fried so it tasted burnt. Waffle was mediocre. The English breakfast was good. Decent meal but not sure I would come back

Egg on toast (8.50 British Pounds)

This place was nearby our hotel and we came to have breakfast one day. The restaurant was already busy at 9:30am and we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. I got the eggs on toast and my BF got the Half Cup English breakfast. The food portions were just right and we full from our meal. I would definitely comeback again.

Great brunch spot! Friendly staff, food was delicious, service was good. Arrived around 12:40pm on a Monday, no wait. It's a little small inside so I can image there being a wait during the weekends. They already have water with an herb placed on your table before you sit down. I ordered the chicken and waffles and espresso martini. Both were amazing. There is a seasoning on the chicken that is a must and the waffle was soft and very sweet.

Couldn't praise this place enough. The two of us were able to sit down and order right away, despite how busy it was. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had, I love that the hollandaise was citrus forward. The coffee was super tasty but not too sweet. All around great breakfast spot.

Traditional English Breakfast with scrambled egg on toast

I was not a fan of the meal overall but the scrambled egg and hash browns were really good. The toast was hard and the beans needed a bit of seasoning. I would recommend the restaurant overall but I would not get this meal again.

Randomly walking the streets of London and saw a line forming outside of Half Cup. Decided to wait in line; the menu looked good so we decided to give it a try. We were able to sit down after 25 minutes of waiting. Restaurant was busy so it took a while for someone to come to our table. We ordered the 2 for £15 mimosa, Pistachio Cream Waffle, Eggs on Toast one poached and one fried, with a side of bacon and hash browns. We also saw some pastries while waiting and got an order of the chocolate croissant and brownie cheesecake. The mimosas came out with a cute presentation of rose petals, but there was too much in the cup. Not able to have a sip without getting the petals in your mouth. The chocolate croissant was very good but could have been warmed up; we were not a fan of the brownie. They then brought out our meals. The waffles also had some inedible flowers on my plate and just a lot going on but def an instagrammable photo. Wasn't a huge fan of what I ordered. I wish I got to try the fried chicken & waffles instead. The eggs and bread were basic but cooked perfectly. Also enjoyed the hash browns; they were actually very good. The bacon was okay, much different than the bacon we have in the US. All in all, I think this place is just an Instagram/Tik Tok hot spot. Nothing special about what we ate.

Food was quite nice and the coffee was brewed to almost perfection. The could have done with a tiny bit more tea leaves or stronger leaves but otherwise all was good. Overall I'd give the food 4 stars. Problem how ever is that I only got a hold and cheese sandwich, that alone costed us £9 which was kinda ridiculous. I added an egg as well, and that was extra £2. So a hand and cheese sandwich for £11 is technical a real rip off and for that I took 1 star off.

English breakfast

Cute restaurant with delicious food and drinks. Came here one morning around noon and luckily they served brunch and breakfast. I had their pink dream latte: which had coconut milk and beet root and no espresso shot. It was really good and beautiful presentation. For food, we had the English breakfast and the English bun. The breakfast was delicious: the baked beans were the only thing that I wasn't a fan of. Loved the interior decor and the waitresses are really nice and attentive. We just waited a little outside before we were sat. Nice little place close to our hotel!

We're visiting London from the US and decided to stop by this place for breakfast since it was close to our hotel. When we first got here ~10am, there was a line out the door but it moved fast and we found out soon it was worth the wait. When we sat down, I ordered a dirty chai and my partner ordered a flat white. Both were delicious, the dirty chai was so flavorful. For our meals, I ordered eggs on toast with hash browns on the side. The eggs were scrambled perfectly, they were fluffy and well seasoned. My partner ordered the breakfast bun and he gave it a 9/10. The presentation of everything we ordered was a 10/10. You can tell they spend time on plating the food. We would definitely visit again.

Hash Benedict, Cappuccino

Food: Hash Benedict, Butternut Squash & Feta Pancakes, Oreo Cookie French Toast Drink: Pink Dream Latte, Cappuccino Cute cafe for brunch with yummy food and drink and pretty decor! Would recommend the hash benedict for the classic brunch lover of poached eggs, and it comes on top of hash browns and a choice of smoked salmon, bacon, or halloumi. For more special items, the butternut squash & feta pancakes and oreo cookie french toast are solid choices. For special drinks, their pink dream latte is a nice drink made of beetroot that's really pretty and tastes great. There was a short wait when I got there, but the queue progressed pretty quick.

Half cup full English (English breakfast)

Great spot for brunch, and a quick walk from King's Cross, making it convenient to eat and get to the train quickly. When I visited London I knew I had to try English breakfast. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the bacon was nice and crispy. My favorite part was the grilled mushrooms, which complimented the dish well. It's a large portion and I was very full afterwards. I also had a coffee which was good. The restaurant is small and very busy, but very cute and cozy inside. I really liked all the art on the walls and the overall aesthetic. I think the food here was fairly priced with good options for breakfast. Service was a little slow when I went, but it was Sunday brunch so it was understandable. The menu is available on their website if you want to see it beforehand. I'd definitely recommend the place if you're looking for a cute brunch spot.

I had the iced matcha cloud with raspberry syrup. Quality matcha powder used *and* the added fruit sweetener (raspberry here) is subtle but still tasteful actually complementing well with the matcha (unlike fruit sweetener that tastes like straight jam overpowering the whole drink.....). A matcha drink that actually makes sense lol. I also tried the iced Japanese cold brew. Pretty strong in brew taste but still smooth! Polite barista. Low-key, chill vibes at the cafe on a Monday late afternoon. Definitely a nice spot for a pick-me-up drink while venturing London. :)

The one we have had has a delicious and flaky seeded croissant and it has a really nice portion of cream cheese and prosciutto and arugula. It's really savory. I ordered a latte on both visits. The cappuccino my brother ordered also looked pretty good. The staff working here are really friendly and welcoming as well. She was very attentive and asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, we're just visiting the country, but would definitely love to come back to this cafe in the future!

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
