Cafe Du Coin was conveniently located near our hotel so we chose this restaurant to have a traditional English breakfast after a friend of ours mentioned sending him pictures of what we have for breakfast here. They are also one of the first restaurants to open in the area and we were up due to jet lag. It worked out perfectly. We were the first customers of the day and they let us enter prior to the posted opening time. You can dine in, dine outside or get things to go. They offer beverages, baked goods and breakfast. We dined in as it was rather cold for our standards outside. All the locals who arrived after us sat outside lol. Mink ordered a ham and cheese pastry with a hot chocolate. I ordered their Traditional Full English Breakfast with an Earl Grey tea. It didn't take the kitchen long to get our order out. The cashier who was also the barista was working as quickly as she could. Customer service wasn't the friendliest nor most helpful but maybe it's a cultural thing. I had a bite of Mink's pastry and it was delicious, rich but very tasty. My order was quite good and hit the spot. Great little spot on Earl's Court Road. We came for brunch after a big night out, and they did not disappoint. I had a decaf latte, which was huge, hot and creamy. I will try the ginsing coffee next time, it looks good. I had an omelette with spinach, tomatoes and cheese. The type of cheese was in question, and when I asked the waiter was confused (I'm guessing they don't have cheese choices here), we finally found that it was "yellow cheese". (I'm guessing "American"). My hubby had stroganoff with rice. Both came out piping hot. My omelette was cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of fillings evenly distributed. It was very good. (Sorry, I forgot to take photo, I was too hungry) Hubby enjoyed the stroganoff. We tried a pistachio roll, and it was brilliant. The pastry was delish and it was just the right amount of sweetness. I stayed very close and it was my breakfast spot everyday for 5 days. My wife loved the ginger coffee. Most reasonably priced restaurant in the area. read more

Good neighborhood spot...for sit down or takeaway food items. However, indoor and outdoor seating is limited, and large groups (larger than 4) may be challenged. However, if you get there early you should have no problems. Service was good, but it is a small kitchen that is downstairs from the dining area, and requests are made to order, so you may expect a short wait. read more

Had my breakfast here on a Sunday. Amazing service. The staff is super friendly. They also have a few seats by the wall with sockets so you can do some work on your laptop while having your meal. read more

Cafe du coin is the perfect cafe. As a family we spent ten days around the corner in vacation. After few days the family running the cafe knew us already. They were kind and always with a genuine smile. One morning I got my coffee very early even if the place was not open yet. The almond croissant simply melts in your mouth. Heavenly flakey crust with moist inside made this the perfect croissant. Honestly, it was better than the ones we had in Paris! The pistachio cream roll was delicious as well. Enjoyed a quick bite here 3 times in our one week stay. read more

After having had breakfast in this place for close to 10 times in 14 days (July 2022), we simply have to aknowledge: this place is 'Yolk Heaven'... No better quality free-range eggs in nor around Earl's court; feel free to take our word for it, we DID try other places. But apart from that, there's plenty more that speaks volumes in favour of this establishment; the genuine friendlyness of the staff - and that goes for éverybody there! - probably being the most important one. The gentile nature of the place is heartwarming. Just what you need before noon; together with those eggs, obviously, and some really, réally good coffees... (yep; they know how to make thàt work as well.) Don't be stressed, pressed, or in whatever kind of hurry; it's not what this place is about. Don't expect to have your plate at the right time at the right table - sometimes things don't go that way. Just enjoy whatever you're having, together with whoever is there - there's locals, passers-by, and regulars aplenty. Lovely outdoor seating as well! (Nothing fancy; just very enjoyable -perfectly covered from rain, wind and/or blistering sunshine...) Reasonably priced, friendly staff and excellent food. Our party of 6 popped in not certain of what to expect (they have a competitor immediately to one side, which appeared to be busier), and were pleasantly surprised to find additional seating below the ground level. The food is BETTER than the baguettes and croque monsieur we had in Paris. Good variety of pastries, homemade sandwiches and delicious smoothies. The staff is efficient and friendly and makes an effort to make it special for the children as well by including curly q straws in their drinks. Finally found a great breakfast place in Earl's Court area! The fresh squeezed orange juice is the best!!!! Lovely croissants and other bakery goods made for a fine continental breakfast. Or for a few more pounds, the omelette was very good. read more
