Left to right chocolate, blueberry and lychee martinis
    Emily B.

I have been here a few times. I always get the lychee martini! It has a really good flavour! However i have tried quite a few on their menu! If you like fiery foods/drinks then the mango and chilli martini is for you! They have a large range of different flavours at around £9 50 each. Always good atmosphere inside with a DJ fri and sat. Im not sure about the rest of the week. I have been on a sunday for food and half priced cocktails! Pretty good! The sharing platter is just about enough for three. With mini burgers hot dogs and breads. Id call it a delicious snack rather then a meal! Entry- £5 on the weekend Music- chart Dress code- anything from jeans to dresses. Blood orange martini

Great cocktails is all that I need to say.. Love the blood orange one with the vanilla vodka yum. Great music and they do serve food but we only stopped off for a pre dinner drink. We went on a Saturday night and the place was definitely buzzing. I love the uniform for the cocktail staff.. Bow tie and braces.. Love the music jamming out and will definitely be back to sample more of their cocktails again soon. Great place for a girlie dance, or party, Maybe a tad loud for a date.. But I guess you can use it as an excuse to get more closer???? (wink wink)

Great venue - if you travel from Liverpool Street this is a really good find. Happy hour is decent midweek - until 10pm. Good vibe in there

The happy hour deal is good, with you getting two cocktails for the price of one. I like how the…read morewhole menu (which is massive, by the way) is eligible for the happy hour price. Two for one is a good deal but I wish you didn't have to get two of the same cocktail. I got the lychee martini and honestly it didn't taste much like lychee at all - also every lychee martini I've had in the past was made with vodka and this one was made with gin (fine, just unusual). The music was so loud I could barely think - my ears are still ringing today. I wish they had turned it down a little bit because it was really overbearing. The overall bar is nice but a little bit cramped. There was limited seating at the bar and only a few tables that were all occupied once I got there. The bartender was nice. I wouldn't rush to return although the happy hour deal is good for what you get.

Best mixology bar I've found in London!…read more The menu of 'house-drinks' is usually only a starting place for me. We usually try several of the menu drinks to get a feel for the bartender skillz, before ordering what we really want. But; surprise, surprise! The menu drinks here are actually great! My wife loved one of the chocolate martini style drinks (I forgot the name), and she barely drinks ETOH. I started with the Porn-Star, expecting mediocrity with a catchy name - but it was great! I'm a huge fan of vodka mojitos, so the Twisted Mojito was next. HOLD YOUR TEXT MESSAGES; this is the best mojito I have had in a long time!! (and I drink a lot of Mojitos!). I quickly drank another; still perfect!! Great service from the friendly bartender, fair prices, and EXCELLENT drinks. We will be back before we leave London!

I'd describe it as busy but not overcrowded, dim lit and divey but not dirty, with fair prices, interesting drink options and friendly service. And there was a live DJ starting around 10:30 PM. For drinks, I had the BBQ Negroni. I have no idea what gives it the "BBQ" flavor, but it's there and it is good. My wife ordered the Green Card, a tequila-based drink that features a mango chutney. (The Green Card is unfortunately cursed though with way too salty ancho mix on the rim). Overall, it's a quality spot for a drink before galumphing on.

But I told him about my venture, visiting London for a quick weekend and wanting to bar hop through Shoreditch. He was surprised I was in the neighborhood considering I was staying in Soho. He commented Shoreditch was a bit of a journey but he appreciated the effort and wrote down a list of bars he recommended. He gave about 6-7 and my partner and I managed to hit 3. They were definitely unique bars, including one that gets going at 1am, a bar with shapes for a name.

While we were waiting to "meet the Mayor" we saw three groups try to walk up and be told it would be at least two hours. Even if it's becoming more mainstream, I still love the idea of speakeasies, and the little song and dance to get in to "see" The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town was a fun twist. It's an interesting spot because the primary bar is nothing to look at really, though for us Americans who grew up in the 80's the name ("The Breakfast Club") obviously sucks you in. But to get into Scaredy Cat Town, you definitely should make an online reservation. They're not hard to lock down, but we tried to get something on Thursday for Saturday and they only had bar seats left. Totally fine for just the two of us. When you walk in, you just tell them you're there to see the Mayor and within a few minutes, you are whisked through the door of an oddly placed refrigerator (yes, I've blown the surprise, but the "scaredy" cat is out of the bag by now anyway). The place is pretty much a dive, with an overabundance of random knick-knacks, signs, and what-not. Funky, funny, eclectic - you get it. But don't let that mislead your impression - it's a serious cocktail bar. They've got a wide range of original concoctions to choose from, and both the presentation and tastiness of our selections were excellent. The bartenders are friendly, and the music that night was essentially a playlist of one- and two-hit wonders from the 80's (again, right in our wheelhouse!). Totally fun, and a great way to start off our night! I wholeheartedly recommend that you schedule a meeting with the Mayor soon!
