I ordered from here through Uber eats--craving Chinese food and too lazy to drive. I ordered crispy fried noodles, cashew chicken and Mongolian beef with no onions for my son. The pan fried noodles were ok, but the gravy was way to thin-- almost like soup. The cashew chicken and Mongolian beef had very little meat in it. Mongolian beef had an overpowering taste of five spice. The cashew chicken had pieces of gristle from the dark meat used. My son came home and asked who ate all the Mongolian beef and I told him no one, it was sent that way. Disappointed with the quality, especially for the price I paid- don't mind paying more, but the expectation is for it to be tasty. read more

Come here and order pretty much anything and you will leave happy. We ordered about 10 dishes and were blown away by fresh textures and flavors of traditional Cantonese cuisine. I suggest ordering off of the wangs specialities menu if you're familiar with Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine because that really where this menu shines. Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and shredded pork with cabbage were a few stars of the show and the black bean beef chow fun was stellar as well. Some of the best potstickers in town and a generous portion of house fried rice rounded out our order. The pictures got neglected when the food started serving in because it was all that good. 4 of us devoured everything we ordered with a few leftovers, that were just as good the next day. On top of all that, the service was stellar. It seemed like they were genuinely excited that we were there and they were super attentive to our needs. Phenomenal. Every single time I drive into town, this place is my first stop. I wish I lived in Reno, that's how much I enjoy their food. Plenty of options for all dietary restrictions & you don't lose out on any quality or taste. Also recommend (not pictured) the special they have. Lots of food and they have boba. After a few days of snowboarding we needed some carbs. The place we wanted to try doesn't open until later so a few searches on Yelp led us here. They deliver via DoorDash or you can pick up. Veggie chow mein was good and the SO liked the dinner special (sweet and sour chicken). Dinner special came w rice choice (bbq fried rice or plain), soup choice (egg drop or hot and sour), Eggroll and sesame ball. Plenty of food for two days. The dragonfruit tea was also well liked. We wanted takeout Chinese for dinner and I followed the great Yelp reviews to Wangs. It's in Midtown but surprisingly they have good parking and since they're only open for takeout you should easily find a spot. Their dinners come with a couple of appetizers (egg rolls were quite good!) soup(hot and sour or egg flower) and you can upgrade the white rice to bbq rice-a great bonus! We had the sesame chicken, broccoli beef and a side of pork chow mein. Everything was delicious! Sometimes Chinese food can be greasy but even the chow mein was light and the sauce was perfect. My husband ate both egg flower soups-which he loves-and thought they were great! The restaurant does not have a lot of atmosphere so it's perfect that they're doing takeout. Excellent find on Yelp while visiting Reno and worth the drive from south side hotel. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Pot stickers were hot and flavorful. My lemon chicken had a crispy and light coating with a lovely light lemon sauce. My husband enjoyed his chicken and broccoli that was crisp too with a delicate sauce. Both of us enjoyed the sides of paper wrapped chicken, egg roll and egg flower soup. We can see why they have a high rating. Wang's Table is just the American Chinese food we need in Reno. I'm always looking for a good plate of lemon chicken and I've found it. I decided to give Wang's a try for lunch and ordered their lunch plate. First off, they could and should charge more for the special. You get a lot of food so it's a steal. The lunch plate included my breaded lemon chicken breast, topped with lemon sauce of course. An egg roll, a sesame ball, sweet and sour soup, and my side of bbq pork fried rice. Dim sum, soup, entree. Everything tasted really good, very fresh! I loved that I could order online and it was ready for pickup when I arrived. Wang's Table is a new restaurant serving Chinese food in what was China East on South Virginia Street near Vassar Street. Currently it is only take out and delivery (I saw it on Door Dash). I thought there was dine in, so I came in to eat. I placed my order and sat and waited. They had probably six delivery orders while I waited and a couple others who ordered online and calmed to pick it up. The menu is extensive with both Chinese-American and what the counter person said are popular dishes currently in China. The food does not represent one region. No take out menus yet. Sadly, the lamb dish was a miss Lamb can be challenging. A couple of Chinese restaurants in the are do them well. The lamb in the dish I had was too gamey. I couldn't finish it. I still had the taste in my mouth the next day. I am optimistic the other dishes will be better and I look forward to exploring the menu. They may offer sit-down dining in the future. read more

Stopped in here looking for some good comfort food and they had just what we needed! I love me a good lunch special so when we showed up just in time for lunch I love as very excited. My husband had the 3 flavors with spice garlic sauce and hot sour soup and I had the lemon chicken with egg drop soup. Both were super yummy. My lemon chicken reminded me of some of the lemon chicken that I had in San Francisco/Burlingame years ago when I was a little kid. I love that it's a whole piece of chicken lightly breaded and fried instead of so many places that smother their chicken in a thick batter. I also loved that their lunch special comes with an egg roll AND a sesame ball which is one of my all time favorite foods! The staff was very attentive and took good care of us with lots of tea. My husband wanted Chinese food on Valentines Day and I wanted to go to a place that wouldn't be overly crowded on a Friday holiday. One of our two favorite Chinese restaurants recently closed and the other one has cut their portion sizes in half, so we went to the internet to find a new place to try. Wang's is close to our home and the photos looked good, so we decided to give it a shot. First things first, the dining room is clean and relaxing to the eyes. I am a booth person, but the chairs are padded and very comfortable, so I did not miss having a booth. There is a half wall on the right side just inside the entry to block any breeze (we've found similar restaurants to be cold and drafty, especially ones that do a lot of takeout, as is the case here). The temperature was warm and comfortable for a February evening. The server was attentive and fast. He literally ran between the tables and the kitchen. I always order General Chicken at a new restaurant-it is my comparison dish. This was the best I have ever had. It was not overly breaded, but the coating was super crispy and the chicken was tender. We ordered the dinner specials. For $16 we received an entre, choice of soup, choice of steamed or fried rice, a super-crispy egg roll, a sesame bun and a piece of foil-wrapped chicken. We were very pleased with the value and we were able to bring half home for a second meal. I really liked the hot tea served in a large glass pot with infuser. It took the tea a few minutes to brew but it stayed hot through our entire meal and we were only able to finish half of it. Again, a very generous serving. My husband ordered the chow mein combo. He was pleased with his dish, as well. It came with thick noodles and he prefers the thinner ones. He didn't think to ask ahead of time, but was assured that he could order the dish with the skinnier noodles on his next visit, as they have both kinds. So, tired of going to the same old places we decided to put the names of 50 local restaurants into a jar and pick one for bi-weekly mid-week lunch dates. Most were new and untried, but some were old favorites that we hadn't been to in a while. Wang's table was our second pick. Have driven by it 100's of times and now it's time to try it. Situated in a plain building on the south side of midtown it's pretty basic. Park out front. Dining room is simple setup with four-top tables and a bar/counter at the back. We were kinda late for lunch, so we had the place to ourselves. Fortunately, the lunch specials were still active (until 3), and here is the real find. About a dozen $10 lunches, all with soup and appetizer. My wife had a Kung Pao dish, I had the General's chicken. Both were expertly prepared, and service was good (the owner?). A perfect sized portion of well prepared Chinese food. The food was good, service was good, but the price point was especially enticing - $32 for lunch for two including a glass of wine and a beer! Let me tell you a story about a VERY disappointed guy with a frustration (by hunger!) wife. We walk into Wangs and wait for a few mins for the gentleman to seat us. The gentleman is clearly very interested in wiping down the menus he had in hand. We decide to seat ourselves. Standard Chinese, maybe a couple exotics on the dated menu. I was a little puzzled by the wear of the menus considering the age of Wangs. Anywho, that's where my Wangs adventure ends, the menu. I started realizing that not only have we been sitting for 20 mins (I enjoy my wife's company, I can spend hours talking with her) the table across from us is starting to leave. I engaged a conversation with them and they had walked in 5 mins before us! The quality and freshness of the food was not good. I order about $100 worth of food through Uber Eats. We ordered 3 dinner specials, chow mein, fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. Not only did the food not taste good it also didn't look appetizing. The sesame and general's chicken tasted the same, not spicy and both super sweet. The shrimp and vegetables dinner plate only had about 4 pieces of shrimp, the steamed rice was soggy. The chicken chow mein looked bland and resembled spaghetti noodles. The honey walnut shrimp contained too much mayo and the shrimp was over cooked, not good! I hate to say it but I can't see myself ordering from here again or recommending. They are located in Midtown right on Virginia. There is actually a small parking lot although I had no trouble parking on the street. I ordered two lunch specials, kung pao chicken and curry beef. The lunch specials come with soup, an egg roll and what I will call a tiny Chinese donut hole. It was very reasonably priced and the portions were very large especially for a lunch special. The kung pao chicken was quite good and the curry beef was pretty decent too. Definitely a good choice if you're in Midtown and feel like some Chinese food. read more

If I could give a 4.5 I would! I had a craving for Chinese and decided to try something new. I can only speak to the food as I got it delivered (Door Dash). I think this one of few places where you can get a combo for one person. Very well packaged for delivery. The apps were pretty good. The egg roll was my least a favorite as it was kinda mushy in the middle. The egg flower soup was pretty good as well. I got sesame chicken and steamed rice. Holy cow this was delish. Completely unlike any other sesame chicken I've ever had. Just a bit spicy, but very well cooked. Can't wait to try everything on the menu and in go try in person. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try Wangs. It was good!! Unfortunately I can't say it was anything special but it was good. We had the generals chicken and the orange peel chicken. I liked the orange peel chicken more which was surprising because general chicken is usually my favorite. It was about $40 for two chicken entrees, a large thing of rice and pot stickers. Where to start. I don't submit restaurant reviews very often. This my second time getting food from this restaurant. The first time was unremarkable so I thought I'd give it a second chance. This time I ordered some basics. Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, and House Chow Mein. Again, all three were, at best, unremarkable. The Sweet and Sour Pork was flavorless; had very little sauce; very sparse on vegetables; and the pork was dipped in a batter rather than the usual egg white and corn starch. The batter was so thick, it was gummy on the inside and soggy on the outside. Probably undercooked. The Chow Mein and Rice dishes were also devoid of flavor. I don't know where this chef learned to cook but I'd get my money back. For $50, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, good restaurant choices, particularly for Chinese food, are extremely limited here in Reno and this one squarely lands in my "NO" pile.
