I recently decided to upgrade my tv from my old Mitsubishi WS-65857 from 2001. My tv is primarily used for HT but it usage does include some gaming. I was certain that I would wind up going with a modern flat panel display. After researching today's technologies and screen to cost ratios the Mitsubishi DLP became a very real option for me. I have loved my old CRT so I had no reason to hesitate going with Mitsubishi again. I settled on DLP, now it was just a matter of deciding screen size. I had a budget of under $2,000 and wanted to get as much screen as the money would buy me. When I started looking the most attractive sets for my price range was the 2010 73" model. I would love the 82" but it was in the $2300 price range. With the Super Bowl fast approaching tv prices started coming down fast. I watched Amazon and other retailers daily to find the best point to dive in. To my surprise the 82" 2011 model WD-82740 fell into my price range. I was very pleased. Amazon had it for $1799. I read review after review on sellers that offered this set as most were within a $100 of each other. I read many accounts on Amazon reviews where neither Amazon nor the seller would price match if the price fell after purchase. The reason was always given that the seller did not sell directly to the end user. So, it was clear that I would need to buy directly from Amazon's seller and not from Amazon if I wanted to protect my purchase price. The lowest seller was Paul's TV but they had a lot of bad reviews and only a 96% rating. I then found Walt's TV to have a 99% rating and far fewer dissatisfied customers. Other home theater enthusiasts on AVS Forums have had great success with Walt's so I felt comfortable using them. I placed a call to them on the Saturday that I decided to make my purchase. Their current price for the WD-82740 was $1777.77 and free shipping. I spoke with Miles and made sure that they would price match any drops in price within 30 days of my purchase and he assured me they would. I placed my order and got set to wait for this bad boy to arrive. Within an hour I received a phone call from Miles, my credit card company was doing a fraud check and I needed to call them to get the payment to go through. Ok, no problem. Took care of that and called Miles back. By the following Monday, two weeks before the Super Bowl, Dell put this unit on sale for $1649.00 with free shipping. I contacted Miles, he verified the Dell pricing and issued me a refund for the difference that day. Fantastic service Miles! I couldn't ask for more. On Monday I called Walts TV store and a gentleman named Matthew answered the phone. He was very courteous and extremely knowledgable about my inquires. He invited us over to the store where he went over all aspects of the TV's that were in our price niche. Once we we chose the TV and wall mount things started to move fast. The next day Travis came to our house to look at the job site and go over the installation process and set up the time for the technicians. On Wednesday afternoon Ethan and Gabe came over with all of the equipment. The two were very polite and respectful and most off all were extremely smart. They answered all my questions and concerns and even set up a sound bar that I had purchased from another store. The installation went smoothly and after it was done Ethan reprogrammed my Cox remote so it would operate all of my equipment including the sound bar, DVD player, and TV! From the phone call to job completion took about 48 hours! I would recommend Walts TV to anyone in the market. It's obvious to me that that everyone takes pride in their work at this company which several of the employee's said has been in business since 1957! Note, purchased 11/21/16 Rhett B. UPDATE: 1/7/2020 We purchased our second TV from Walts. This one was an OLED that we had mounted to the wall. Matt was the salesperson, again, and very knowledgeable, still... getting us in the best picture for the $$ spent! We purchased the extended warranty. When the TV developed two green pixels I contacted Walts. The phone rep was very polite and took the the relevant info as well as a picture of the dots from my cell phone. He then said he would file the claim with LG on my behalf!! No paperwork on my part!! A few weeks later I was contacted by Walts and told that I would be getting a replacement TV. Brandon and Kyle were the Tech's that came to the house. Both were very polite, smart and knowledgeable about the equipment they were installing and answered my many questions. I would once again highly recommend purchasing your next TV from Walts. After a lot of research on TV's, I decided the 85" Sony XBR-85X950G was the one for me. I searched for one and could not find one anywhere in AZ (I did not want one shipped due to risk of damage). I found a site (very well known, but I won't disclose) that had 3 of them to ship. After viewing the site, I noticed it said "sold and shipped by Walt's TV" in Tempe. I called them and Richard, who was an absolute pleasure to talk to, told me they had 12 of them in stock and could possibly deliver today, but guaranteed by tomorrow. He then gave me $300 off the the $2999.00 price that they and everywhere else advertised, and the 5year extended warranty was only $249.00! He said someone would call me back in a few minutes to discuss delivery details. An hour later I was about to call him back when I noticed a big box truck out front that said Walt's on it on my camera monitor. Nick and Brian were very professional (and had on masks and gloves, due to the virus) and unboxed the TV, inspected it and installed the feet in my garage. My son and I immediately took it from there and installed it. WOW, I couldn't believe that I went from not finding one, to having it in my home,in record time, and the whole experience was Outstanding and 2nd to none!!! read more

The mark of a company's service is how they handle mistakes or issues. In this case, I purchased an "Open Box, Like New" tv from this company, via eBay. What arrived, via truck line, 5 days later was indeed an open box, but the styrofoam casing on the inside was nearly all removed and the TV looked to be damaged. I was not able to personally inspect upon delivery, so we signed off with the truck company that we would inspect later. Upon full removal and viewing, the bottom portion of the screen was damaged and there was some missing contents. Walts was in constant communication throughout the whole process. We chatted via ebay mail and direct email. I kept expecting a non-response and to be left "high and dry" or to be told that "sorry, you signed off on the delivery". They did neither and saw the transaction all the way through delivering a perfect TV. While the process took some time(5-days to deliver, 5-days to ship back) they surprised me with expedited freight to deliver the TV. When we have a tech come out to our home, we all want some with good skills but also someone who understands how to give good customer service. When we had our less than one year old Control 4 remote go out, we scheduled a service call with Walts. Max and Ethan came out the next morning, did some troubleshooting and then took the Control 4 module back to the shop. Both of them were great. I figured we might hear back the next day. Instead, we got a call from Ethan about 7:15 PM and said he was still in the area and that he had the controller fixed. Five minutes later he has the module reinstalled...but it still didn't work. Ethan did not give up though...more troubleshooting and ten minutes later he diagnoses the problem as a bad ethernet switch. He happened to have a five port switch on the truck and installed it as a temporary fix until we get an 8 port switch in. BINGO...everything is working. Ethan is a young guy but he is really sharp, knows how important it is to stay with a problem until it is totally solved...AND he has a great attitude...even after a very long day. We definitely will be asking for Ethan if we have need for another service call. read more

Not a lot of people post positive feedback when they should so I wanted to at least put my .02 cents worth in to give credit where credit is due. I have been wanting a larger screen tv and had done a lot of research so I knew that a Mitsubishi DLP would fit my needs and budget perfectly. I emailed them on a Sunday and received a response back from Orlando within hours which was unexpected. I priced the WD-82840 and 92840 (last years models) as well as the new 842 series and was explained the differences which ended up not being much of anything and they had 3 of the 82840's left at a great price compared to other companies I talked to. I even elected to throw out the idea of driving down from Flagstaff if it would save any shipping. They said they would ship to me free on top of the great price. They shipped YRC which the local branch ended up being backed up because of the July 4th holiday and the local branch manager delivered in the back of his own truck, helped me uncrate for inspection, and bring into the house. Exceptional service all the way around. I haven't even plugged it in yet but wanted to give kudos to an awesome service getting it to my door. read more

I live in Texas, and I was looking for a DLP TV, because I had one before and loved it. They are hard to find, because they are much cheaper and have a better picture than plasma or LED or LCD, so the stores don't want to carry them. If they did, they wouldn't sell many of the expensive TVs. So my teenage son found out from the Mitsibushi website that there were only 2 authorized Mitsibushi dealers in the US - Best Buy and Walt's. I had been pricing these TV's for a week already, locally and on the Internet. I called Walt's and a nice man answered the phone, Miles Bouchard, and he took his time and talked to me about what I wanted, etc. I ended up getting a 73" DLP with a SIX year service agreement, which I asked him for, he didn't push it on me, with FREE shipping, NO sales tax, delivered to my home in a few days. I paid a total of about $1500. Try getting a 73" TV delivered to your home for a total cost of $1500, and I know I will have a perfectly working TV for the next SIX years. Unheard of. I am overjoyed! I ordered a top-of-the-line LG OLED 55" Ultra-HD TV for Christmas 2016. Walt's gave me an additional discount to the lowest sale price (beating Amazon's holiday price!), and their customer service was perfect: friendly, informative, clear and straight-forward, no pressure of any kind. The manager, Matthew, previewed on the phone with me everything that would happen before, during, and after the shipment. Everything he promised would happen happened - exactly according to plan. The TV arrived in a flawless box - no dents, no cuts, no openings or resealed bits anywhere. Wearing gloves, the delivery men unpackaged the TV in my house, set it up, ensured proper functioning - all with a very friendly, easy-going attitude. The TV itself is GORGEOUS - the design, picture quality, and features/functions. I kept the box for two months, just in case the TV malfunctioned. Excellent . I called up Walt's and I talked to Miles. First thing I told him was "I am probably not going to buy a TV, but I would like some info on DLPs. No Bum's Rush, he spent about 10 minutes with me and I got the info I wanted. An hour later I ordered a Mitubishi WD73642 73-Inch for $1150. $1150 was the ADVERTISED price on Walt's site that day and it was the same price as the WD73640 73-Inch which is an older model. The WD73642 price was cheaper then Amazon's price that day. That might have been a fluke. The next day the WD73642 price went up on Walt's site. The delivery guy was great; I got the TV 2 or 3 days earlier then first estimated. The delivery guy brought the TV inside my house and unpacked the TV and Miles suggested I examine it for physical damage before signing off on the delivery. Bottom line, Walt's and Miles are 5 Star as far as I am concerned and the TV is excellent. I also got a 5 year insurance plan for $250. and I usually don't get insurance. No hard sell, people know their stuff, very good. read more

After searching for a good deal on a Sharp 80" 3D TV, I am happy to have discovered Walt's TV. It can be very unnerving buying such a large and expensive item on the internet. Other sites offered 'refurb' units with only a 90 day warranty instead of the new factory 1 year. I could have saved a few hundred bucks and bought an extended warranty, paid for special handling, etc. but I would still be buying an 'open box' or 'returned' item, so I decided to pay a little extra for a brand new, unopened, full warranteed TV from Walt's. They will price match but also upsell a warranty (for peace of mind, which most agree was worth it for something so large and expensive. Miles helped ease the pain with 3D glasses. TV arrived in two days, double-palleted, vertically strapped, doorstep service (included!), and WOW!, this TV rocks! Right out of the box! Do I really need an extended warranty? Maybe not, but since this thing is so huge, it does mean I won't have to haul it anywhere for 3 years if something goes wrong. So far, Soooo Gooood. read more

Part 1 I just wanted to thank Miles and also Bear for hooking me up on another awesome deal on my new Samsung TV and Klipsch soundbar system for our bedroom. Installation went great until the end when they noticed that the sub and the soundbar weren't pairing for some reason. The installers Joe and Brandon did their best with calling the other techs several times trying to find out what might be happening but it just wouldn't pair. I told them after several tries hey it's getting late and not to worry and they could just come back with a replacement later in the week. Part 2 So just wanted to thank Nick and Joe for coming out this afternoon. They showed up with a new Soundbar and sub and got it going right away. About 10 min after they left I noticed one of my remotes wasn't working properly and called them and they said we're turning around now and will see you soon. I had a great expirence working with Miles Bouchard he was very helpful and had the knowlege required to answer most of questions and the questions he didn't have the answers for he talked to the techs and got back to me. After many phone calls with many questions I was very satisfied with the help I received from Miles. When you are making a purchase from a place you have never done business with, not in the state you reside and it's by phone you have to trust the person you are talking to. Miles did just that. I called Walt's TV to enquire about the Mitsubishi 73 inch DLP 3D TV. Miles answered the phone and was very informative with me about the Mitsubishi 73 inch 3D TV and also offered me a special price on the 73840 which I couldn't refuse. Anytime I call there after the purchase of the Mitsubishi TV concerning shipping or technical questions, Miles was very courteous and helpful. When 2 pair of the 3D glasses didn't work, Miles agreed to have me ship them back to him, he would try them out to confirm they were non-functional, then sent me two new pair to replace the two pair that was shipped with the TV. In the future when I want to purchase the 92 inch Mitsubishi, I will be calling Miles at Walt's TV because he a kind and great person to deal with, and he is truthful and up front about everything.
