RAD Computers are honest and they get the job done at a reasonable price. My home-built PC wasn't powering on after trying to install a new graphics card. I didn't know if the power supply had just failed or if I'd fried the entire motherboard. RAD could have come back and said a bunch of components needed replacing at a high markup, and I'd have been none the wiser. But no, they (correctly) said it was just the power supply, which was relatively cheap to replace. Honest, friendly shop, run by geeks, for geeks. I'll definitely be back! read more

Highly recommend RAD computers! I decided to build my first gaming PC on my own with limited knowledge. I had the PC built and you and running, but once I started installing the drivers/softwares, I ran into the dreaded " blue screen :(" and had some issues with freezing/locking up. I can't say enough about this place. We were in temporary housing for many months waiting for our new house and having difficulty setting up a temporary network in an extended stay hotel. I have had two interaction with RAD computers. One when I inherited parts for a computer and it would boot over and over but not POST. At the time he was running a live stream if I wanted to see it being fixed. He found the issue (bent processor pin) repaired it and told me he was only charging basic diagnostic fees as it was a simple repair. He also noted I did not have any anti malware and suggested a few free to use and the better purchased ones I should install. Second time my prebuilt computer was over heating. He diagnosed it as the water cooled cooling system wasn't working. His suggestion was an air flow cooler as my computer needs didn't require water cooled system and the system he would recommend for water cooled was overboard and expensive. He gave the suggestion of the best in market for the price and said he could do the work and charge an hours labor fees or if I felt comfortable he would give me the part number so I could order it myself and do a self install and he would only charge me a $50 diagnostic fee. Everything was always upfront and very transparent. Would suggest to anyone. read more

One word....Fantastic!!!!! These folks really know their stuff. While I am a power user, when my computer stops working I am at a loss, and this is exactly what happened this weekend. I called Mark on Monday and he was able to fit me in midweek with one of his techs, Paul. Paul showed up at my house and never left until he made sure my computer was fixed and in good working order, and just to make sure my issue hadn't migrated to my wife's computer he checked hers as well. Mark from RAD built me a very fast desktop computer that ran reliably for five years (that's about two years longer than the average computer's life span). On the occasions when problems arose, Mark could access my computer remotely, which I found convenient. Naturally, some of the hardware began to fade as it aged (USB ports, DVD burner), but those items are easily replaced, even by novices. The machines are tailor made for each client's unique needs and budget constraints. Once set up, the machines run reliably. My PC was corrupted by an update and would not allow me to re-install Win 11. After trying for 2 days, took it to RAD Computers. Paul installed a fresh copy of Win 11 by the next day and also installed some programs I frequently use. I am unable to carry the PC in due to a spinal injury and being in my mid 80s. I've been experiencing computer and printer issues for several months and eventually turned to Yelp for help. I did a search by "computer repair" and located a company in Scottsdale. I reviewed them and filled out the form to request assistance. At the conclusion it prompted me whether I wanted to submit my request to 3 other businesses which I elected to do. It was 7:00 am and none of the businesses were open. However within literal one minute I received a response from RAD and set an appointment. My technician Mark arrived at my home that same day and after 2 hours and a trip to the store for a part (USB modem) I was back and running. He eliminated some programs from my Mac desktop, got my printer to work again (the 2 computers were not connecting up WiFi so could not connect up the printer). My daughter's laptop had some settings needing corrected and he connected her laptop to the printer. My Mac got the new modem and everything is now functioning. I couldn't be more pleased AND u see stand why RAD gets so many 5 stars. I had my computer just randomly die when playing a game. It wouldn't boot to BIOS. I tried some quick troubleshooting myself (I've always built my computers so know my way around a bit), but with a baby now and limited free time, decided to bring in a computer for expert help instead for the first time in my life. I met Mark at his office and he had my computer up and running in 15 minutes! In the meantime, he doled out a bunch of free advice on other computer topics, including improving my laptop performance that has been slowing down. Mark also noticed I had installed my CPU fan, which didn't have obvious direction arrows, backwards--oops! Mark quickly swapped it around and reapplied CPU thermal paste. To top it off, he also helped with a microphone issue I'd been having. All said and done, I was out of there in 35 minutes with 3 fixes performed, and all done at an extremely reasonable price. Being more limited in free time these days, I will definitely be back when I need help with more difficult problems that take me more than an hour to solve. My computer died after doing a recent Windows update. I initially called Data Doctors and was underwhelmed with their customer service. I jumped on Yelp and found RAD. All the reviews were 5-star and stellar, so I didn't waste any time and called Mark, who immediately erased my anxiety. Mark kept in communication with me via text and email while he worked to repair my computer. He had it up and running, with some modifications and security measures he recommended, within one business day. The cost of repairs was reasonable so I was relieved! Mark at Rad Computers is a lifesaver! My Surface shut down one day, and I wasn't even able to log in. The same thing had happened to my husband's Surface last year. He took it into the Microsoft store, and they told him it was not repairable. He ended up purchasing a new one. I was worried I was facing the same fate. I was given Mark's contact information as someone who may be able to help. I gave my Surface to Mark, and after a few weeks, he was able to open it up and repair it. I was having network issues at my house and contacted RAD. After exchanging a few emails, and providing my Speedtest data, they were able to diagnose my problem down to the router. So, I bought another router. Here's where the good part begins... After receiving the new router, I was still having problems setting up my network. So, I contacted RAD again and Mark was able to remote in to my MAC and confirm that it was, in fact, the router. Then he provided his phone number and walked me through the setup while he was on his way to another appointment. Everything works great and my speeds have never been faster.
