I stopped by today due to an amp in my truck being in protect mode and not functioning. The amazing gentleman was able to look at the issue right then and walked me through how he troubleshot it and what the issue was and explained everything thoroughly. He did not pressure to sell anything and was so great! I ended up getting a new amp and 2 new speakers on the spot. Installation was quick and he made sure I checked that everything worked. The volume on my stereo wasn't working so I called to see if I could bring it in to take a look at it and Tom was able to check it out right away. He was able to solve the problem in 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything. Do not be scared of the price offered to you, all product is genuine and authentic and the workmanship is just as good as any other shop. After a couple of years with the stock stereo I decided to shop around for a new CarPlay stereo for my car and all the shops were telling me the same thing right around $1200 for the base model. All the shops except DCA that is Tang was able to get me the stereo, kit to install, and actual install for $650+ tax. SCORE!! I will admit my car took a little bit longer than most but that is because my exact model is a little tricky but they figured everything out at the end of the day. Brought a newly purchased used vehicle in to have new radio installed. They installed same day and at a great price! A few days later I thought I had blown a speaker... came back fully prepared to spend the money on new speakers. They told me I didn't need new speakers and simply added some silicone to keep the speaker from vibrating... it wasn't blown! I don't know a thing about audio and they could have easily replaced my speakers or even just fixed true current speaker and not told me and I wouldn't have known! After explaining my unique situation with my bride's 2005 Toyota Solara's CD player, Tang offered to take the radio out and look at it. Since his price was more than reasonable, I chose to go there Saturday afternoon. What actually ended up was Tang truly going above & beyond -- probably out of sheer determination -- to dig deeper into the disassembly process than even HE imagined... but he did it with a friendly, customer-centric attitude, all while other customers continued to visit his shop! I was also very impressed that he allowed me to assist with this task. While this audio sales & install business does not specialize in "repairs", Tang was successful in removing the foreign object from my player, put those thousand screws back in their rightful place-- and the CD player worked perfectly once again!! These guys are great. I recently bought a 2000 accord which came with an all stock audio system with a Tape Deck and it had to GO. After shopping around between online and other places locally, I was recommended to them by a customer at Best Buy as he said they were experts and had really good prices. Since Best Buy and most other places were seriously overpriced, I figured I would give them a shot. After finding the store hiding in a little ceasers parking lot, I proceeded to head around the back and was greeted by the two guys that basically do everything it seems. After being shown a few decks I proceeded to look around the maze of speakers and other car audio goodies they have stacked to the ceiling everywhere. They two guys were pretty busy and pretty straight to the point but still honest with quotes and their work. They did not have the kenwood deck I had my heart set on in stock but were willing to order it for me. Luckily I got a call a week later and they had just got in a 2011 kenwood model that had all the features I was looking for. After talking with them I ended up getting a new kenwood deck, all new boston acoustic speakers and a amp kit installed to my trunk. They also fixed 2 bad lock actuators that I had for 50 dollars a door as I was getting the other work done. The installed price for the deck was fair but still cheaper than anywhere else unless I had attempted the install myself. The speakers installed were the same price I would have paid for them online (without installation) and the amp kit was really affordable for the quality job they did. The actuator repair cost me half of the cheapest quote I got elsewhere, but I probably got a deal since they already had to remove my door for the speaker install. They had the work done really fast considering how much needed to be done, and they had a chill waiting room with a leather coach and a TV playing speed tv. The owner was also very nice and was hanging out and joking with customers and friends. When I had a small problem with my deck a few weeks later I stopped by and they fixed the issue within seconds. They also offered to help with the amp and sub-woofer I was going to be installing myself for free of charge! Overall I saved a bunch of money by coming to direct audio and I am really impressed with the install job they did on everything. While the two employees might be a little rough around the edges and take a little getting used to they are very honest and straightforward. I highly recommended this shop for any car-audio needs. read more

I bought a Kenwood GPS navigation system online for my Mother's Dodge Grand Caravan. The online price was $150 less than Best Buy. I went to Best Buy to inquire about installation but I couldn't get any service. I read a couple of Yelp reviews for Direct Car Audio. I called and inquired about installation. I could tell right away that the fellow with whom I spoke (Hector), was very knowledgeable. He quotes me a price over the phone and said it would take a couple if hours. I brought the car in and sure enough, it was a two hour install. Hector provided my Mom training on the unit. He was very patient with her. I was very happy. The only thing to know about this place is that it doesn't look like a nice store from the outside. There are bars on the windows which I presume is to prevent theft. Called shop last week because i was interested in putting in aux adapter in my old 2003 car. He said order the adapter kit you want and ill install it for 35 bucks!!(wow cant beat that) I ordered a GTA adapter kit for my Honda 2003 accord, cost me about 100 bucks. When it arrived at my house, i showed up and they installed it no problem whatsoever. In an out less than an hour. I tried calling other places listed here on yelp regarding this simple adapter install, don't even bother they just wanted to only sell me a new radio and overcharge me for labor. I went in to get my door speakers replaced, which is a pretty simple task, I paid a decent amount for it and I was expecting it to be done properly... However after a few days of listening it started to rattle and make weird noises so I took off the door panel myself only to find that the wires were cheaply spliced with wire nuts and not even soldered, the speakers were hanging freely not even bolted in. I was really disappointed. I think that may have happened because I'm a teenager and a lot of adults take advantage of this and don't treat me equally, I have never felt the need to leave a negative review but this left a bad taste in my mouth. Great experience! Tang was great to work with, and the pricing and quality of installation were great. In and out in about 45 minutes, and my car now has a kicker 250W amp and kicker 10" subwoofer box in the trunk. Added much needed bass to the stock head unit on my KIA Optima. You will be pleased. Look. Although I'm not an audiophile anymore, I am still an opinionated prick. I came to these guys sure of what I wanted but I was wrong. The shop is unique and looks a little shabby, but do not let the outer appearance fool you. These guys are pro's. The owner recommended a different unit for my Town Car than the one I wanted and I just insisted on what I had come for. He happily installed it for the agreed upon price and off I went. That evening I called to tell the guys the unit was NOT what I wanted and they so very politely offered to replace it with the unit they recommended originally. I love the new unit and it looks as though it belongs in my dash. These guys are great. To my amazement the technician was able to actually diagnose my problem, pull apart the circuitry in my window alarm mechanism and repair the broken solder on the circuit board easily. WOW.....2 other shops quoted me almost triple the price plus parts and quite frankly they could not figure out where my problem was to begin with. I purchased my viper alarm system from Audio Express with one of the window modules which failed that close the windows automatically. I was a loyal customer to Audio Express for the past 10 years and had purchased many alarm systems from them and was happy, until it came to mechanical work. The sales people were great at trying to sell me up to a new unit even though everything else worked properly (except for one module in which they argued with me that they never installed). I found Direct Car Audio almost by accident via Google maps. My door panel was off, and I was desperate to have this repair completed that day. Without hesitation they got right into the job and repaired part in a few minutes. The value at Direct Car Audio overwhelming exceeded all others that I had previously dealt with. As a licensed auto broker I have work done on my cars all day long from various shops all over town. It's not easy for me to write a review giving the shop five stars. On the downside....... The shop is a little less than stellar to look at, and really tough to find. From the outside, you would most likely pass it by as a second rate business. You really do not deal with professional salespeople at this Business, but with the actual installers who do you work. Let me assure you, that the quality and expertise of service, plus the price of their alarm systems tower over all other shops that I have dealt with. I learned that Viper alarms are sold by various companies in town. What ever you do, have Direct Car Audio quote you!!!!!!!!!! Direct Car Audio (DCA) Chandler Az. installed my stereo Pioneer Avic- D3 $1204.63 in my F250 using 4 drywall screws and "NO" stereo installation kit. I took my truck back to them two times asking them to do something about my stereo being loose. The 1st time they looked at it and tightened things up. The 2nd time the owner told me I had to buy a replacement installation kit and I was responsible for paying for it I told him I was not going to and was not satisfied with the quality of work and they were responsible since they installed the stereo to resolve the issue. Buyer beware they are not affiliated with the (BBB) Better Business Bureau. This turned out to be chop shop for me and I will never do business or recommend them to anyone I know. The BBB did not seem to help me due to the fact the business is not affiliated with them and at that time I did not realize that Direct Car Audio did not install my stereo using an installation kit when I generated my BBB report. My husband had Circuit City install a new car stereo in his car shortly before they went out of business. Over a year ago it just stopped working. I decided to get it fixed for him for fathers day and saw this place on Yelp. They were great. It turned out the circuits were fried (no doubt from the jerry-rigging Circuit City did when they installed it to work with his iPod). They offered to fix the wiring for a very reasonable fee. Then he gave me the option of installing a new stereo for another very reasonable fee and I decided to do that since the old stereo did not work with my husband's iPhone. I was out of there within an hour and everyone was very friendly (including the black lab!) and helpful. I highly recommend this place. read more
