I personally dislike this Walmart. They seem to be out of date compared to all the other Walmart's. The cloths/toys are so much better at the other locations. For some reason not sure whom is doing their ordering either, if a item (coffee creamer)is always out of stock on your shelf usually that means it's a good buy? Right? So why not give it more facings verse just two, and make sure it's on your every order and up your quantity to sell more? I mean you make money that way...again right? So I'm not understanding why you completely take it off your shelf and stop selling it all together? And bring in all these weird creamers. Tonights experience- I walk in the door, grab my laundry soap at 10:50 I was in line at 10:51. I didn't check out until exactly 11:15! That's how long we had to wait in line! They close at 1! 2 more work hours, Why are alllllll the other registers closed besides two cashiers? Either open at least one do it yourself or have two more cashiers on the clock or manager instead of just standing there watching us all huff and puff jump on a registrar! I remember when this place was the new Walmart. Now it's the old Walmart. But, they still have everything that I need and carry the same items as all the other Walmarts. I think the selection might just be a smidge smaller, but this place usually has something in stock when the others don't. Customer service here is great. The customer service is nearly nonexistent. I waited ten minutes and pushed the page button four times for an associate to open a glass cabinet. The item I wanted was only $22. I left without it. I'll never know whether anyone tried to come help me. My wife and I are tired of being treated like criminals when we shop here. We make almost a quarter million per year, but we have to show our receipts for purchase before we can leave the store, and we have to wait for several minutes to get a $22 item from a locked cabinet. read more

This Walmart is actually pretty convenient considering it's seconds away from an exit going to East and West. But you would just think that "Ah, Walmart has it." You'd be wrong. Never treat all Walmarts the same because this one never has what I need. Walking through aisles you get the confused look of empty shelves. Why are Walmart shelves empty? There should be no reason! This Walmart is fine to shop at and all, but one thing that I have noticed a lot every time I come here (and I come here a lot, since it is one of the only stores open 24/7) is that they don't care for their fish at all. Tonight there were so many dead fish stuck to the filter. Big fish too. Not only were the filters already SUPER dirty, but dead fish plastered onto them as well. OH MY GOD... What a horrible experience at WALMART KUNIA. I already lost count at the number of times I had to dodge center displays, pallets and other stuffs in the middle of the main aisles. Plus it was busy, so considering the fact that the center displays were there, it didnt leave much room for customers to maneuver around. We actually had to go into an aisle to let the other person pass. WAS IRRITATING. I was about to get AISLE RAGE. Man, why dont they just get rid of the Aisle displays so customers can move around.....So cluttered. PATHETIC.....SHAME SHAME.... ALSO, there were a dozen cash registeres and about 2 were only open (4pm, on a HOLIDAY). I GIVE UP ALREADY...Im shopping at Don QUIJOTE...at least can move around. read more

I shop at the Walmart Kunia all the time because they do offer cheap prices. And on any given day, id have to give it 3 stars only because they really dont help you with anything. You basically have to look for things yourself, or if you have trouble looking, you have to find an associate somewhere. The reason Im giving this review a 1 star rating is because of a recent incident at walmart. Keep in mind that everything I say is NOT an exaggeration. Anyway, I came in on this visit to purchase a money order from their "cash machine." Before, you always had to go to the customer service counter but this time, I figure that I would use the machine. I have used it before with no problem. But this time, I was buying multiple money orders for large amounts. The limit is 4 money orders with a max of $500 each. Soooo....I put in $2000! Next thing I know, it says that I need to call a manager. The manager comes, she actually reads the message on the screen which says that she needs to put in her "code." and she presses the CANCEL button and walks away. She notices that I still standing there and she says, you have to go to the Customer Service counter. So I reply, "Well, how do they know how much money orders to give me? Dont they need a receipt or something?" And she says, "you put money in the machine?" Then I see her face change and my reaction is "here we go" So she starts calling other managers on the radio and goes into an office. Then comes out 5 minutes later saying they have to call "Loss Prevention" to check the cameras, etc etc. I assume this is going to be 5 minutes! I literally wait 1 hour before another manager says she screwed up. The reason another manager came out to help me was because SHE WENT ON BREAK! Im already totally upset and about to rage because I shoud have been in and out of Walmart in 3 minutes tops and this manager screws up and actually LEAVES before I do? What the hell! My gripe is that theyre telling me if im going to do a transaction that large, I should go to the counter. 1. If you dont want people to do those kind of transactions, WHY do you have the machine? 2. TRAIN your MANAGERS on your equipment. They shouldnt be pressing random buttons and cancelling stuff if they're not supposed to. read more

The clerk wanted to ID us BOTH?? Why?? We ALL know he's not of age. She called a manager, they BOTH told me they werent going to sell to me. So we had to go to LONGS where they accepted the sale because ***I had the proper ID*** It was VERY inconvenient as longs was out of my way and their prices are a little more expensive. I come to this walmart ALOT. I've bought liquor on many occasions with the SAME teen.. Imagine if Walmart was as eclectic as its customers. Oh, the products we would see! The likelihood of random encounters here is high. I feel this dungeon is for intermediate to high level adventurers. A healer in your party would be useful, but not required, as Walmart has a decent pharmacy. Wizards should head towards the back, where automotive supplies and electronics can be found. For refreshment, there's a McDonalds off to the side. It's McDonalds, enough said. If you hang out there though, you may hear some good rumors that may lead you to other adventures, such as where rare monsters can be found for good experience and rare drops. There's also self-checkout. I like self-checkout. Sometimes, I like to imagine stories for the people I see at Walmart. I feel it's a good exercise in creativity and imagination. I ask myself questions about the people there and try to craft a story. Why did he wear those shoes with that shirt? Who does her hair? Where did she get that chocolate? I originally came here to return something I bought at another Walmart location. Unfortunately I left my receipt in my pants and washed them so it got ruined. They weren't able to read or scan the transaction number so I was offered store credit. Which I thought was pretty generous considering I messed up on keeping my receipt safe. This Walmart location is a good size and they seem to have a good selection of things to choose from. However, while I was able to find some very cute swimsuits, it was confusing to find them due to the fact that they were located under the "Men's Wear" sign hanging from the ceiling. Also, it took me a while to actually pull the sizes I needed because it was so disorganized and so many tops and hangers were tangled into each other. As I went to the fitting room, the employee who was working that area was very nice! However, the two ladies who were there as I walked out did not acknowledge me even when I said "Excuse me." All I wanted to do was ask where I could put the top that I wasn't buying. I just left it on the cart outside of the rooms. Hopefully that was right! After I made my purchase, I made my way over to the vision center (review on their Yelp page) where I had a very good experience. I would probably make my way to this location again if it was needed, or if I had to go back to a vision center. read more

Whenever I go to Kunia Walmart, which isn't very often, I end up getting lost. ...I go here whenever I have an eye appointment - probably once or twice a year. Yeah, not very often. And when I get my eyes dilated, I like to meander around the store to put off walking and driving in the blazing, bright sun. BTW - I found that no two Walmarts are set up the same, which could explain why I get lost in here so easily. Bc I'm used to the Keeaumoku one now, I get confused on where to find a lot of items here... I always end up buying somewhat useful, but unnecessary things... And way too many things at that. However, when your eyes are dilated, it is way more difficult to shop... Totally a plus, bc I don't end up spending $60+ on ridiculous things that I'll later get scolded by my bf for buying. This Walmart is great bc it isn't as busy as the high-volume Pearl City and Keeaumoku stores I often visit. The lines at Kunia Walmart are way shorter and the aisles are way less hectic. Also, the shelves are much more organized and neat than those two other stores I mentioned. I'm definitely looking forward to my next eye appointment. If you need to kill time, this is the place to be. I spent a good amount of time walking around Walmart (Kunia) at night. My daughter and I have a hard time sleeping, so my friend and I would take her to walk around to burn off some of that energy. Sad to say, but it was like Walmart was my home away from home. This Walmart in comparison to others seems pretty junk; they're usually out of stock of the things I need/want. The store itself when walking around didn't seem very appealing. However, they're making changes to the store to possibly improve on itself. They have things that I need, things that I don't need, and things that I didn't think ANYONE would ever need. It's all good though :P They have a McDonalds in the store. There's a restroom there and in the back part of the store as well. Often times the McDonalds restroom would be pretty filthy. Idk about you, but being that that's in the same area where food is handled..I would think they'd take better care of the ENTIRE place, including its restroom. I always see the workers there..except for when I need help. It's as if they know I'm in need of help and they just...scatter. lol. I love that this place expanded their selection with produce and a wider frozen food section and bakery items of bread, doughnuts, cookies etc. If only it were a superstore like the mainland then i wouldnt really have to go any place else because the prices here are generally cheaper. Walmart to the rescue! Boredom always gets to me every now and then especially at night! Most places are already close at nine so there's not much places to go to afterwards. I'm so thankful for Walmart! Whenever I get bored and feel like walking around, this place is the place to go. They are open 24-hour and they have almost everything that you need: clothes, food, accessories, toys, entertainment, sporting goods, etc. Walmart is also a great place to go to for any last minute items whether it be for traveling or camping purposes. There's just so many things here. I can never get bored coming here and looking through the different items they sell. You can also buy your gifts here for birthdays, baby shower, graduation, etc. Their prices aren't bad either and they are very good with their daily special sales. I love coming here at night/midnight because I can take my time shopping. The only negative part about coming here at night is that there's a lot of boxes on the aisles for restock. This is very close to Ala Moana Center, we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian vacation village which is walkable, so we saw a lot of guests from our hotel getting supplies from here. I really like Wal-Mart except for the situation pertaining to the handicap riding scooters. Me and a couple mbrs in the family needs to use them as walking is so hard for us to walk but almost 99% of the time we arrive there is none and as we get moving its not uncommon to see kids on them and the parents not even watching them. I love the fact this walmart has two parking lots, one in back and one in front. Luckily for me, the one on top was empty. I got parking right up in front of the door, took a ride on the escalator down and there I was. You can even bring your cart up and down the escalator with it's own escalator in the center. LOVE technology! Prices have always been the best. I was looking for quart mason jars. Walmart had a dozen of them for 9.18 while Longs had them for 2.49 each! Even thought I had to drive further to Waipahu, it was still worth it. I took off a star just because the employees looked like they hated life. I must have talked to about 5 different ones and all looked like someone killed their dog. I called them the day before, and two guys were very helpful and enthusiastic to help. Not sure when they started this policy that personal bags need to be left in a locker at the front of the store, but it's some BS. To make it worst, they pick and choose who they're going to enforce the rule on. They tell my wife that all bags need to be locked up, and while we're there, we see a man coming out with a back pack on and many other people in the store walking around with personal bags. Been having really bad experiences at this particular Walmart. I've been an active shopper for the last 10+ yrs but recently experienced 2 horrible experiences. I called the store to see if a product was available, since it was not available at the Walmart PC Store. Spoke to the clerk and she informed me that they could hold the item for 1 hr. In the middle of giving her my name, the phone got disconnected. I called back and another lady, claiming to be the manager answered. I informed her of the situation and she said "too bad, no holds. Sorry I just sold the item." I was very upset. I spoke to the manager at the Walmart Store in PC to see if the hold policy differentiated between stores. She informed me that they should have been able to put the item on hold for the 1 hr, as it is the corporate policy. :( Second incident, I went to make a return prior to 9 am and was asked to return after 10 am when the customer service desk was open. I took my return to PC and they were able to return it instantly. There was no comment or request to come back later when the the customer service desk was open. They redesigned their layout for food items that vaguely reminds me of the layout Target has...yet no other WM has this design. I thought all WMs were supposed to be cookie cutter no matter what city you're in but I digress... As far as atmosphere, it's not the best. There's something dank about this store. No, I don't mean 'stank' & didn't mispell 'dark'. I mean dank, as in 'disagreeably damp, musty, cold'. I've been in some ghetto fab WM's in LA & the LBC and this one has a distinct difference. I like this Wal-Mart. It use to be so busy when the Pearl City and Kapolei locations were not opened yet. But now it's a lot slower. It's hidden in Kunia. You don't have to drive far from Ewa! There's always parking, which I like. If you can't find parking on the main level, there's parking up top. If you're hungry, there's a McDonalds inside too. The always have everything I need. I am in no way a Walmart connoisseur (thank gosh) but I have to say that this is the "ok'est" one on the island, and that is relatively speaking. The store set-up is confusing as heck. No two Walmarts are the same (which I do not understand at all) which makes finding things next to impossible. For the life of me I can not figure out why they moved the office supplies away from the stationary. Paper, paper right? I actually think someone else yelped about the exact same thing so I am not totally "out my mind" right? The overall cleanliness of the store does leave a little to be desired. The store just does not seem clean. Items are out of place and honestly things are just not neat. Employees are what you would expect from just about any Walmart...hit or miss. Some are surprisingly pleasant however some just "don't get it". Overall, if you NEED a Walmart this is the one to visit. This location is not too far from my house and I would go to this store when I needed something late at night. Not too many people after 11pm and one night I was shopping, it rained alot and the security guard was kind enough to walk me to my car with his umbrella. I was so grateful. This location is super close to my house and came in so handy when we first moved in. They have everything I need as far as household goods and last minute craft supplies. I don't come here for automotive parts or hardware. I go to City Mill or Napa for that. But, if I'm in a hurry and can't get to those stores, I settle for Walmart. The prices are ok. You can find some things cheaper online like Amazon. They don't have much in the way of organizing items like bins, closet maids or smaller closet shelves. City Mill and Amazon do. But, for the most part, Walmart has always been there for me. read more

We went to this Walmart to buy a few things and didn't spend that much time here. I didn't even go to the second level. What I did do was use the restroom that didn't have any toilet seat cover in every stall and my sister saw LICE! No lie, I even saw it with my own eyes! I was super worried cause I took my daughter to use the restroom too and had to check her head. Thankfully we were all clean. I come here a lot to kill time. Some days service is really great (: Welcome with smiles, always an available cart and whatnot. REDBOX is here now, (a big plus) I always tell myself that I'm here for a specific item but I come out with everything BUT that. It could be just me (due to TOTM) or some workers I seen today were total idiots and had no idea what they were doing. -)I came here last night to buy SNOW spray for my Christmas tree -)I came back today to get the same spray because 3 wasn't enough. -)I went to the isle that I got it from previously and nothing there. Hmph, 4)Walked up to someone who worked there and asked for this spray. Guess what she said?, "I'm sorry ma'am we've never carried that spray." I told her I came here last night and they had it. She insisted that they've never sold the spray here and insisted saying that Im probably delusional and I bought it some where else. Female please! Any whose, thats my only rant for now.
