Waikele Safeway located in the Waikele Shopping Center. It's one of the larger and newer stores on island. Open 24/7 with lots of parking in a huge parking lot. I like the way they've done the layout. Everything is easy to find and for the most part they're in stock. They definitely focus on customer service at this branch. When we have a special request for a certain size and cut of meat they're more than happy to accommodate. When checking out you have the option to go with self check or cashier. Either way is good. . Definitely recommended for all your shopping and pharmaceutical needs.

My sister from Boston ordered me a DoorDash 2 Italian subs from Waipahu Safeway. They use boars head meats and was excellent. I didn't know Safeway has DoorDash capability and we were able to track the driver. It went well and was very happy with the $10 each Italian subs. They were very filling.

Clean and a variety of selections. Feel like there isn't as much staff as there should be. Every time I come here there are only two cashiers and the self checkout line. They have really good deals on Fridays.

Dessert yes please!! visiting family here in Waikele so can't show up empty handed!! My personal favs fruit tart and eclairs will satisfy my sweet tooth as well as the palate of the family members who are accustomed to " just another Hawaiian dessert!" i love Safeways bakery department quality of cakes pies cookies pastries - all kinds bread/cost effective & convenience. vast variety of ready made choices. you can never go wrong- located in Waikele Center.

Well for $8.99 a poke bowl you definitely get a lot!!!rice with furikake optional and what looks to be at least 2/3 pound of ahi poke any flavor. Of course it's going to be carbon monoxide treated one and not the fresh one. But it's still quite delicious.

Shopping in Waikele, O'ahu, Hawaii... Located between Old Navy Outlet and Lowe's, Safeway is a spacious, clean, tidy oasis for grocery gathering. Besides having a wonderful bakery and deli department, there's a fabulous produce area, frozen foods cases, and aisles of spices, condiments, and ethnic ingredients! There are two restrooms: one in the front at the Floral corner, and one in the back where the dairy items are. Service is helpful and friendly. Workers are welcoming and encourage customers to return!

    Ask the Community - Safeway

    Do they sell cigarettes?

Yes but call prior if you're looking for a particular one since they sell fast.

    Do they offer grocery pickup?

Any recommendations @ the deli section who to see that can slice cheese/meat? Also are there any variety of salads cause I've noticed most places don't carry a lot of it like they use too!!!!!

Anyone in the deli should be able to slice your cheese and meat for you from 8a-6pm. Beyond those times are if-fy when staff dwindles down or when they start shutting down, breakdown machines and sanitizing for the next day.

Do they have those water dispensers?

I didn't get a chance to walk around the entire store. It's setup just like the one in Kapolei. So I'm going to say Yes. I recommend that you Call before going. Hope this helps.

Shopping in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. After lunch and dessert, we decided to walk off some calories and stroll through Seafood City Supermarket. Shared, free parking is available with Longs, Starbucks, and many other businesses in Waipahu Town Center. Inside, there are more vendors such as Magnolia Ice Cream, Valerio's Bakery, and Jollibee. It's a spacious, well-lit, clean, busy environment. There are many choices - from fresh produce and Household items, to lots of cooking ingredients, and, of course, seafood! When you're in the area, stop by!

Geez, the last time I was here was ten years ago. Some things are the same and some are different…read more Grill City, Jollibee and Magnolia Ice Cream are still here. Red Ribbon has been replaced by Bakers Avenue. They still have their meat, seafood, produce and poke departments. I love that they have fresh seafood lying all around on ice. Their prices are higher than what I'm used to seeing. They have live blue crab for $14.99 a pound. I know other places where I can get it for $8.99 a pound. I still would have purchased some, since I was there. However, all the crabs were dead. Never buy dead crabs as bacteria multiplies as soon as they die that turns into toxins. Cooking them will not get rid of the toxins. Live Dungeness crab was $38.99 a pound and live lobster was $37.99 a pound. Their shellfish are priced high. The produce was fresh and colorful. We saw mangoes that were $3.99 each. I bought a whole box of the same mangoes yesterday for $8.99 at another store. Needless to say that I left empty handed.

"Lucky you live Pearl City! $6 Meals!!?"…read more  Did you hear about Pearl City Foodland's $6 Specials they offer Monday - Friday?  They are the bomb!!   With the prices of everything going UP, UP, UP there's now a place you can enjoy ono food for only $6! I have 2 favorites -- Tuesday & Thursday.   I eat it practically every week and you'd never guess when you see it! Tuesday is the BBQ Bowl -- You get ypur choice of meat, rice, and a side (banchan). I always get the smoke meat with pickled onion on rice. The smoked meat has plenty smoked taste, just enough fat, and it's not tough (you know what I mean).  The pickled onion is the perfect compliment!   Love the bite and the vinegar taste -- cuts though and brings it all together!   They give you quite a bit in the bowl.  Definitely enough to make me smile!    Again ---- $6.00!!!!! Thursday is another winner in my book.   It's noodle day!!!  I used to get the Mega which had everything in it.   It was a special that they had at the beginning but it's been discontinued.  I think the only one I'm not too crazy about is the curry.   I know some like it -- but having watery curry with noodles is just not me.   The rest are pretty good.   They warm up the noodles right there and add all the goodies on top.  It's take out so they give you the hot broth in another container ---- perfect so your noodles don't get soggy!   I think it's a great 'buy and eat later' meal! I think the only negative is that sometimes the parking lot is very, very full.  If you go early it's not too bad.    The rest of the days they have kalua pig burrito, nachos, and the $6/lb food bar Friday.   With all the prices on everything going UP, UP, UP, it's so nice that we can have a good and satisfying meal for $6.00.    Thank you Foodland -- Food, Family, and Friends!!!
